Surrey RCMP INSET member charged with sharing intel

Here's a strange one. CTV is reporting that "A former officer with the B.C. RCMP was arrested Thursday and charged with 13 offences related to the alleged sharing of protected or classified information. Michael Scoretz, 47, was taken into custody on Bowen Island after a search of his residence, the RCMP’s Federal Policing – Pacific Region Integrated National Security Enforcement Team said in a statement."

“The charges allege that work-related material was found at the suspect’s home and that he shared protected and/or classified information with individuals he was in a relationship with,” the statement from Mounties said. “None of the charges involve current national security investigations, nor were any investigations compromised as a result of these incidents.”
