Yet once again the focus on seizing the proceeds of crime without stopping the drug trafficking is misplaced. Seizing the Kelowna clubhouse is a no brianer. Yet providing police protection for the Wold Pack while they sell cocaine in Surrey is not. It makes the whole thing compromised.Dennis Watsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06736981069304416233noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6576246045591350665.post-47911444058309904892018-12-01T21:40:52.398-08:002018-12-01T21:40:52.398-08:00Mr. Plante is certainly being paid a great deal of...Mr. Plante is certainly being paid a great deal of money to testify to what he allegedly saw and heard. With that much money in his pocket, one might be less than inclined to believe what he has to say, if one weren't the trusting sort. OMG, those dollars were my tax dollars. A million dollars, that is disgusting.

One might recoup the million and change from the sale of the Vancouver club house, given the cost of real estate, but when you count in the cost of the investigation and the trial, not so much.

Now why some one wants to take away the Nanaimo and E. van club houses is beyond me. The H.A. have owned them forever. Newer assets perhaps, but those two, ridiculous. Then when you consider the amount of money the H.A makes from "illegal drug sale", allegedly, you'd think the police would want to stop that instead of trying to take away two pieces of property.

All of this sounds very fishy or something like that. For the amount of money they paid Mr Plante, they could have purchased new equipment and simply recorded them from a distance. Paying some one to testify, in my opinion taints the testimony. How can you trust some one who wanted $80K to do their civic duty. e.a.f.https://www.blogger.com/profile/06244666617774794918noreply@blogger.com
