Very hard. Yet if the person was caught and convicted, that would be very different then if he was running free on the street bragging about it. Even then, retaliation would be swift and conclusive. It wouldn't be ongoing bullying.
Dennis Watsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06736981069304416233noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6576246045591350665.post-10743697604615875012014-02-10T00:54:56.715-08:002014-02-10T00:54:56.715-08:00I admire the thought of being the bigger man and f...I admire the thought of being the bigger man and focusing all of the negative energy from being wronged by someone into something positive, breaking the cycle. However, if someone took everything that I love in this life away from me, it would be damn near impossible to control the rage and not seek retribution in the most rewarding way possible. Like you said, time and place.Johnny Jayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11547845240826798547noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6576246045591350665.post-89118699556051880192014-02-08T18:05:59.116-08:002014-02-08T18:05:59.116-08:00Everything has it's and place. However, right now that's not on the books.

Dennis Watsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06736981069304416233noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6576246045591350665.post-5057748069509919602014-02-08T13:07:56.118-08:002014-02-08T13:07:56.118-08:00I agree with not torturing them (it dehumanizes th...I agree with not torturing them (it dehumanizes the torturer, "gazing into the abyss that gazes back" and all that) but I'm completely in favor of executing them.

It's bad enough that what they've done cannot be undone, but at least they can pay for it with their own lives. In addition, we can then be certain that they will never ever re-offend, and we can be spared the cost (in 2009) of $109,699 per year of incarceration. For 5 offenders, this is over a half million dollars per year, and 5 million for their 10 year sentences.

It may dehumanize me to torture them, so I'll pass on that, but it would not bother me at all to put a round in the back of the head of each, I would go home and sleep like a baby knowing I had likely saved future innocent people from their predations, and my fellow citizens from the financial burden which could be better spend on crippled kids or something.trailrunner78https://www.blogger.com/profile/06694102447472594355noreply@blogger.com
