Drug Overdose at Boonstock Music Festival

News 1130 is reporting that 37 people have been taken to Penticton Regional Hospital in the last day, becoming sick while attending the Boonstock Music Festival. 80 people have been treated over the course of the weekend, and a woman in her 20′s from Alberta died Friday night from a suspected overdose. Grace Kucey with the Interior Health Authority says most ailments are drug or alcohol related, made worse when combined with the intense heat.

CTV is confirming that A 24-year-old Alberta woman died of a suspected drug overdose at Boonstock music festival in Penticton, B.C. this weekend. Local RCMP said at the time of the woman’s death that another 12 people had been treated for drug overdoses at Boonstock festival, and that two people were hospitalized and in critical condition.

That's a lot of drug overdoses. I doubt that many people would be doing heroin at a music festival. We need to come clean about what type of drug it is and talk about the likelihood of some bad drugs being out there. Police have ruled out foul play in the suspicious death at the Pemberton Music festival but the cause of death has not yet been determined.

Update: As BF has pointed out there was 15 drug overdoses and two fatalities at a music concert in Toronto this week end as well. When they make reference to the party drug it sounds like they are referring to extacy (MDMA). Only since no one can get the real sassafras oil to make extacy anymore they find a substitute and make something else called PMMA or BZP that is way more toxic resulting in way more fatalities. Consumers need to realize that when they buy extacy now it's not extacy it's something else. That many overdoses is a concern for everyone.

Religion in the modern world

They say that religion and politics are the two subjects one should never discuss because they are so divisive. Yet they are of profound importance because they govern our civil liberty both in this life and in the life here after. Politicians start and end wars. Politicians support and oppose genocide. Politicians support and oppose civil liberty. Then there's the Devil. The author of slavery himself.

Some people say I don't believe in God. Do you believe in the devil? Do you believe in the existence of good and evil? Good and evil are empirical forces we can tangibly observe. Leaving religion aside, we can all concur that good and evil do exist. My mother used to always say there is a little bit of good in the worst of us and a little bit of bad in the best of us so it behooves us to look for the good in each other.

Recently I was speaking with a few parents about teaching children about religion so they can choose for themselves when they get older. How are the kids going to be able to choose if we don't teach them anything to choose from? One parent said their spouse didn't like the bible because it was written by a man. They said they can't believe anything that's written by a man. I have a hard time accepting that logic. The Constitution and the Charter of Rights were written by men. Those are inspired documents that protect our civil liberty. Clearly God can inspire men and women. Martin Luther King was certainly inspired.

It's somewhat ironic that the Hells Angels refer to their business meetings as church. Conducting business and betrayal of drug trafficking and prostitution is not godly. The top picture is of Adam Hall the Sergeant at Arms for the Pittsfield, Massachusetts Hells Angels and his co accused with devil horn implants and the number 666 tattooed to his forehead. Adam Hall has been accused of forced prostitution and of murdering a witness that was going to testify against him. His co accused looks like he needs some professional help.

I realize that 666 also means filthy few fellowship but this associate is not a patch holder and everyone knows that 666 has another meaning as well. Vincent Price's eloquent introduction to Iron Maiden's song 666 the number of the beast reaffirms the given that the number 666 also refers to the devil. It baffles me how any intelligent being would possibly brag about supporting evil and the father of all lies. AC/DC once said if you're evil, you're a friend of mine.

I have a hard time accepting that logic. Good and evil exist. Rape and murder is evil. Lying is evil. Betraying your friends for money is evil. If you do any of those things you can't be a friend of mine. Anyone who does any one of those things is untrustworthy. Embracing that is counter productive.

The essence of religion is treating others the way you want to be treated. That is the golden rule. It's common sense really. When I was young I enjoyed studying Zen as part of the martial arts. Alan Watts once said that the literal translation of the Greek word sin was to miss the mark. He said that if our purpose in life is to find happiness, then to sin would be to miss that mark like an archer misses his target. When we sin we do things that take us away from inner peace and lasting happiness.

I'm somewhat cynical of the hypocrisy and intolerance in organized religion yet I am a big supporter of the freedom of religion and agree that most religions teach us to improve our lives and treat each other the way we want to be treated. For me the existence of God is a given. It is scientific. The third law of thermo dynamics declares that in a closed system order does not increase all by itself.

If I throw a pile of wood and a bunch on nails on my front lawn, it won't magically build a house all on it's own in 300 or 3,000 years. In fact the opposite is the case. In 300 or a 3,000 years my house will begin to decay and fall apart. It's like the Mona Lisa. We cannot deny it exists and the thought that paint scattered across the canvass all by itself is rather absurd. Paintings have painters. Houses have builders. Creation has a creator.

Today I heard a reformed heroin addict who has been clean for 40 years cite Voltaire's argument who said when he sees a clock or a watch he knows those items were created they didn't just happen by chance. I remember many years ago going to the British museum in London England. I saw the skull of the missing link between man and ape which "proved" the "theory" of evolution.

They actually only had three small skull fragments they found from three different locations that fit on the back of the skull. They dated the fragments and said that because it comes from the time period where we think the missing link should have existed, they reconstructed a skull from those three fragments of what they thought the missing link might look like. Only they weren't reconstructing it based on other skulls from missing links they found. They created a brand new skull based on what they thought it might look like. When I saw that as a young man searching for truth I was pissed. That is not science. That is nonsense. All these years we were taught that was science when in reality it is anything but.

I have no problem if someone embraces the theory of evolution. Just remember it's a theory and is in reality very far from science. It's hard for me to conceive that the claim that man crawled out of the ocean, evolved from apes and ceases to exist when he dies is anything but intelligent or scientific. When we die and we realize we are still conscious of our surroundings, we will then know that teaching is false. To me it just seems so empty and incomplete.

I will be the first person to admit that I tend to trust atheists more than I trust many religions people simply because when an atheist does good they aren't doing it to get a reward, they are doing it because they believe it's the right thing to do. I find that admirable. With or without religion, with or without God or the Devil, Good and Evil do exist in our world and we are free to choose between the two. Christians are taught not to judge others but we are taught to judge between good and evil. Like it our not, life does not end at death and as we sow so shall we reap.

Montreal gang leader shot dead

CBC is reporting that Ducarme Joseph, the leader of the 67 gang tied to the crips was shot dead last night in Montreal. This is significant because he is without question a big player with a long criminal history in the Montreal drug scene. He was very wealthy and made some serious coin.

It's also interesting because August 2012 Chenier Dupuy, leader of a north Montreal street gang called Bo-Gar was shot dead. The Bo Gars were affiliated with the bloods who under normal circumstances are enemies of the crips. It's also interesting how that murder was also tied directly to the Hells Angels.

Greg Wooley was a Caribbean brother that Mom Boucher the white supremacist got to sell drugs to all of the crips in Montreal. There was a big meeting between the African street gangs in Montreal where Greg was trying to convince everyone to unite and sell drugs for the Hells Angels. Chenier told him to f off and slapped him in front of everyone. Greg was small Chenier was big. Not long after that Chenier was shot dead.

MSN News claimed the crips were also known as the blues. I've never heard the crips referred to that before. That sounds more like a jazz band. They must have meant the crips are associated with the colour blue while the bloods are associated with the colour red. Those gangs started in LA where they were bitter rivals. Snoop Dogg was affiliated with the crips while Tupac was affiliated with the bloods.

Bo Gars is taken from the French. Bo being slang for beau which means handsome and Gars being short for garcon the French word for boys. So the name of the gang means handsome boys but since we wouldn't really say that on the street in English a better translation would be hot guys. The point is the Hells Angels were indeed directly involved with these gangs and the reason Ducarme Joseph was so wealthy is because he was working for the Hells Angels. At least at one point he was. The fact that he might have acquired a new supplier might have been the reason why he was shot however he could have just as easily been shot by a rival. Yet if it was a rival you'd think they would have shot Wooley not Joseph. This sounds more like Wooley pulling a Mom Boucher and eliminating political opposition to me.

856 Not

The Globe and Mail is reporting that B.C.’s anti-gang unit says it has arrested three high-ranking members of the 856 gang. Only there is no such thing as a high ranking member of the 856 gang. As Kim Bolan has pointed out, the 856 gang takes it's name from the area code to Aldergrove. No one in their right mind would name themselves after the area code for Aldergrove. We jokingly refer to the 604 but that's just a joke. The 856 is even lamer than the 604. Pttbull refers to the 305 in Florida. If you want to quote a New York, LA or Miami area code so be it but no one trying to be hard core would ever name themselves after an area code from Aldergrove.

Nevertheless, this is an interesting turn of events. It shows that Len Pelletier was wrong when he said there is no 856 gang any more when he drove his car into a tree after being shot at by them. Yet 2 1/2 kilograms of cocaine and 3.8 kilograms of crystal meth isn't chump change. My question is where did they get it from? It either came from the Hells Angels or the UN and my guess is the Hells Angels.

It certainly wouldn't be the first time the Hells Angels took the name of some other group for one of their puppet clubs. Case in point, the Independent Soldiers and the Red Scorpions. Interestingly enough one blog reader sent in a comment from Kim Bolan's blog where one of her blog readers claimed that the new 856 gang is run by Len Pelletier's son Caylen Pelletier. They referred to the 856 gang as Peltier's puppets. Now that is worth looking in to.

It's also worth noting that the picture from the police press conference is of many bags of "buffer." 2 kilos of cocaine would fit in 2 bags. All those bags aren't cocaine they are of a cutting agent that's used to deworm cattle - Levamisole. The Langley Advanced referred to it by it's street name superbuff. 44 kilos worth. Levamisole is used to cut crack because it waters down the crack while keeping it's solid form hence the term rock. It gives humans flesh eating disease. This is another example of greed. Watering down crack with a cutting agent that rots your flesh.

Granite Falls Deep Cove

I took a break and paddled the kayak up Deep Cove to Granite Falls on Wednesday. They say the wind often picks up around noon which was fine because it was at my back heading up the cove. I camped overnight and headed back early in the morning before the wind picked up. The stars at night were pretty awesome. Getting away from all the city lights and seeing the brightness of the endless stars is very humbling. Makes you feel pretty insignificant so it does. The universe is much bigger than you and I.

Vancouver is nice but it's most certainly not the nicest place on earth. The fecal counts are very high in all our beaches right now. Whenever I go kayaking in the Lower mainland I always see a seal. This time I saw tons. People wonder why our salmon counts are down. No doubt the fact that we stopped clubbing the seals has been a factor. With so many seals everywhere that's clearly going to impact the salmon counts. The seals are eating them all.

You can only get there by boat. This is silver falls on the way there.

This is looking up the cove from Raccoon Island.

There's more to life than greed and betrayal. Peace.

Canadian arrested in Costa Rica

As one blog reader pointed out Inside Costa Rica is reporting that a Canadian wanted by Interpol has been arrested. They believe it's Cory Vallee from the UN - not.

Update: Well third time lucky. Turns out it wasn't Cory either it was Michel Emond. He's from Quebec and is wanted to producing / trafficking crystal meth. A Quebec paper states he a is son of the late Richard "Crow" Emond who was a member of the Hells Angels.

Richmond drive by shootings / Maple Ridge

The Richmond Review is reporting that there were two drive by shootings in Richmond Monday night with as many as 24 shots fired. No one was injured. Police claim it was targeted but didn't look gang related. Scan BC reported that #MapleRidge #RCMP were on scene with a male shot in the abdomen last night at 10300 240 St. Apparently the victim has died in hospital.

Hells Angel Sylvain Tétreault arrested

CBC is reporting that a Hells Angel member from Quebec named Sylvain Tétreault has been arrested and will be charged with conspiracy to commit murder. Again.

In 1998, Tetreault was sentenced to six years for a murder attempt on a member of the Dark Circle, a group of drug dealers opposed to the Hells Angels. On his RCMP most-wanted page Tetreault is listed as being sought for murder, drug trafficking, conspiracy to commit murder and conspiracy to commit drug trafficking, based on actions that took place following his release.

CTV is reporting that Hells Angels biker Sylvain Tetreault, 48, one of a handful of suspects on the lam since a massive bust in 2009, has been arrested in Bois des Filion as part of the SharQc Operation. Sixty-five of the 156 indicted in April 2009 pleaded guilty. Eighteen of the 28 that were not initially found were eventually brought in but as of January, the other 10 remained sought by authorities. Earlier this year, the Supreme Court upheld a stay of proceedings against 31 of the Hells Angels members and sympathizers swept up in that operation.

Although you have to admit the Quebec Hells Angels have always been a cut above the rest, it still boils down to drug dealers murdering rival drug dealers to obtain a monopoly on the drug trade. Often it includes murdering your own people over greed. No L & R there soldier.

Skeletor's First Stolen Motorcycle

Breaking My Silence on Life in the RCMP

The Tyee pasted an article about Janet Merlo's book No One to Tell: Breaking My Silence on Life in the RCMP. More than 330 women are now involved in sexual harassment claims against the RCMP. Tim Shields is a lying POS and so is the RCMP management for supporting his lies.

CBC quoted Janet Merlo as stating: "During my first few years as an RCMP officer, I had a supervisor who kept a naked blowup doll in his office. And during the nightshifts, he would keep it standing ... and when I'd bring in files for reading he'd ask me to stand next to it to see who was taller." RCI quoted Janet Merlo as stating: “You just don’t speak out against those who outrank you,” she writes, which is why no-one dared to say anything about a particular sergeant who always came to work drunk.

Evidently Janet Merlo is the lead plaintiff in the class-action lawsuit against the RCMP not Catherine Galliford. Catherine is just one of many RCMP officers with the same complaint. Instead of employing a task force to harass her they could easily settle that one if they had any honest desire whatsoever of dealing with the truth instead of perpetuating lies and slander.

Arrest in Abbotsford Stabbing Spree / Surrey temp gun

Abby News is reporting that William Anton Butz has been charged with aggravated assault after stabbing four people in Abbotsford on Saturday. Butz has a long criminal history of drug trafficking and theft in Abbotsford and Kelowna.

Update: Turns out the guy with a knife at the Surrey Safeway was a nutbar. He didn't push someone into the glass floral refrigerator he jumped into it himself, picked up a temp gun and started shooting it at the police. They panicked. One cop screamed out he's got a gun and they all draw their weapons prepared to shoot him dead and the manager yells out stop! It's not a gun. It's a temp gun. Just give him our record book so he can record the temps for us. That's when four cops simultaneous taser the guy. Absolutely bizarre. Kinda like the stapler incident at the airport. Thank God the manager spoke up in time and prevented a fatality. Airport video.
