August 3rd the Vancouver Province reported that the police issued a warning after three Kelowna teens became violently ill from taking some bad ecstasy. “Ecstasy is a synthetic drug that is made in clandestine labs that have no quality controls,” read an RCMP release.
“You can never really know exactly what is in street drugs, and something what is being sold under one name could be something else entirely. Drug dealers are only in it for the profit and don’t care about the health or well-being of their clients.” How true.
That very morning 17 year old Marissa Ginter was found dead. She died in her sleep after a night of partying. Friends thought she took a bad batch of ecstasy. Turns out it was heroin passed off as ecstasy which made the three other teens sick and killed Marissa. Once again this shows the predatory nature of drug dealers that exploit all their customers including teenagers.
The Province then ran a front page article about the story after finding a youtube video of Kelowna teenagers talking about the dangers of ingesting bad drugs. Marissa was one of the teens in the video.
Marissa appears to be everything her fiends claim she was - an energetic bright light with her whole life ahead of her that was extinguished far too soon. Some of the guys in the video appear to be the Whalley burn out type but she was different.
This tragic case reminds me of the song Angel by Shaggy. “Now life is one big party when you're still young And who's gonna have your back when it's all done It's all good when you're little, you have pure fun Can't be a fool, son, what about the long run.” Her death has served as a wake up call to many of her friends encouraging them to get off the harmful drugs. A hard lesson well taken.
Why does the RCMP so eagerly and rapidly release the identity of this young ladies cause of death, with all the atypical stereotypes, YET won't publicly tell us that Lamaitre ate his own gun? A serious double standard that makes many of us realize the RCMP may be the biggest threat to Canada as we know it, even exceeding the threat imposed by the hells vermin. Something to think about.

DeleteOh you mean Lemaitre. The cop that was found dead after the other cop got off perjury charges in the Taser inquiry. He committed suicide? We should have heard his cause of death by now. The fact that he tried to correct the record in the Taser discrepancies but was prevented from doing so by his superior is a huge concern. Since law enforcement is a fundamental role in a democratic society I most certainly wouldn’t say the RCMP are worse then the Hells Angles. I would however admit they have some serious problems that need to be addressed and that those problems are huge.
DeleteIs there lab evidence to prove this was Heroin? You claim dealers are exploiting users, I highly doubt a dealer would willingly sell heroin as ecstasy. Not to say it didn't happen that way, just seems suspect to me. PMMA maybe?
ReplyDeleteI don’t know. Her friends thought it was a bad batch of ecstasy as did the police but then the police announced it was heroin not ecstasy. I’m assuming they got that from the toxicity results. I suppose it’s possible. My point is all of these drug dealers exploit their customers. They are driven by greed. Ecstasy is bad enough. TRUE, we now know that this girl, one of three involved, was an addict, well known to facebook, but this is still MEDIA exploiting VICTIMS and not reporting on the VICIMIZER!
I think it’s really important for people to understand what the charter of rights is and what it isn’t because the misconceptions are rampant. When the media reported the names and pictures of the two little boys who were killed by a python in New Brunswick, no one’s charter rights were violated. Every time the media reports the name and picture of another ecstasy overdose victim, no one’s charter rights are violated.
DeleteLikewise, in this case, the media reported the name and picture of a young girl who died. Since it was a true statement, it falls under the freedom of speech and the freedom of the press. It also falls under the police’s duty to warn the public of known dangers. In Ontario the police were sued for not warning residents the balcony rapist was being released into their community. He re offended and the new victim sued the police for not warning the public and won. The police aren’t the bad guys in this case. The predatory drug dealers are. That much is crystal clear.
The charter of rights protects the freedom of speech. Freedom of religion and association. Lawful assembly. It provides protection from unnecessary searches and seizures as well as protection from unlawful arrest. It includes the right to a fair and speedy trial. The right to speak to a lawyer if arrested. The fact that you have to be charged with an offense before you can be arrested. These are all important fundamental rights in any democratic society.

Yesterday, I was witness to AFRICAN DRUG TRAFFICKERS night Drug Trafficking and that these guys are DANGEROUS to youth buyers - also being severe drug abusers themselves, making the whole scene even worse!
This operation has been growing in SURREY, which is and will continue to put the general Public in serious danger!
Between this growing group , the Hispanics, and the EI's it is a precursor to VIOLENT GUN BATTLES!
There are a couple of black guys that sell drugs in Surrey. One of them has a real propensity for violence. In fact, he might have been the one responsible for Janice Shore’s brutal murder and may have even attended her funeral. That needs to be addressed. However, there are a lot more black guys in Surrey who don’t sell drugs and there are a lot more white guys in Surrey that sell drugs then black guys who sell drugs. Where do you think they get it from? The same place Greg Wooley got it from in Montreal. The Hells Angels are the root of the drug violence in BC. That is our primary problem. Cutting off the head of the snake will see a reduction in the harmful drugs on the street and all the misery, crime and violence that goes along with it.

Drug addiction cause more illness. A person who is addicted for drug or alcohol. He must be totally upset by physically or mentally.
