It is rather astounding that the local media is still blindly reprinting all of Stephen Harper's press releases about fighting ISIS without breathing a word about the fact that CSIS and his own personal body guard were caught red handed supporting ISIS. Not a word.
The press on both sides of the border has been largely co-opted as a propaganda arm of the elected elites who run our countries.
ReplyDeleteAt this point it really doesn't matter who we vote for, the system has been effectively rigged to only allow those who are already "owned" to play the game, and if by some reason one slips through here or there, they either get on board once they are in or they are frozen out, marginalized by the real players, and often wind up not winning their first re-election bid. The Press, which is supposed to function as a check/balance and expose those with ill intent, has sold out in favor of "access".....
"We have met the enemy and he is us".........an apathetic populace whose focus has been scattered by the fact that it is these days made up of many disparate groups who have little in common other than the basic human condition, and are easily set against each other by even the most hapless of politicians/professional liars.
Among such a flock of sheep, wolves and scavengers of various description do as they wish.
