The Winnipeg Sun is reporting that "A judge has convicted prominent Hells Angels biker Rod Sweeney of assaulting a 14-year-old leukemia survivor and the boy’s uncle after the two were seen riding their bikes behind Sweeney’s house." This guy has been
involved in Winnipeg gang violence for many years.
I can't wait to see what meaningless sentence he gets handed.....the thing I find curious about Canadian judges is they seem to look at each offense as a separate entity, like it didn't matter that the offender made a habit of such douchebaggery. If for instance the potential sentence was 2-5 years, they'll give 2, even for a guy who's been a customer of the justice system for years instead of saying "OK, you've been here before, take 5 years to think about this."
ReplyDeleteRead the Winnipeg paper article. those guys sound like a bunch of real winners. Beating up a child learning to ride a bike.
ReplyDeleteLane ways are public property. Just because you're a member of the H.A. doesn't make the lane way your personal property.
Lets hope the judge sends him to jail for 5 years at least. It will give him some time to think about his actions. Really.......it boggles the mind.
