Global is reporting that "The death of a man whose body was found in a south Edmonton alley on New Year’s Day has been deemed the city’s first homicide of 2018. The man’s body was found in an alley in the area of 77 Street and 92 Avenue, in the Holyrood neighbourhood, at around 1:20 p.m. on Jan. 1."
CBC is reporting that he was known to the police.
The Edmonton journal is reporting that the victim, Ruben (Ben) Baker, 21, survived a previous shooting a few years ago.
