Candlelight Vigil in Abbotsford
The Abbotsford News is reporting that "More than 200 people came out for a candlelight vigil in Abbotsford on Sunday for families to talk about and grieve the loss of their loved ones to gangs. The event, titled Labelled: Caught in the Crossfire, was held at civic plaza and was organized by Kids Play Foundation. Among the speakers was Ken Dosanjh, the brother of Ron and Jimmy Dosanjh, who were both killed in gang-related killings within two months of each other in 1994."
CTV posted a video clip from the vigil. KidsPlay is going good work. When everyone else is talking about doing something they are out there doing it. The RCMP in Surrey don't want to let them speak in schools because they are nonprofit and the RCMP get paid overtime to talk in schools. If they let the non profits speak, they miss the overtime.

ReplyDeleteLOL, how pathetic is that....
It might be time to eliminate the RCMP as a national police force. Retain them under a different name to do the job for Canada that the FBI does down south, but all the evidence shows that this organization is not only beyond recovery, it will use it's power illegitimately to hide it's misdeeds and mitigate any punishment. Like criminals, it has little fear of the consequences of wrongdoing, either as individuals or as a group. The RCMP is at the root of the rot that infects Canadian Policing. Time for it to go. Provincial Police in each province and Municipal in larger towns.
Yeah I was referring to Surrey. Abbotsford does have it's own municipal police force.
DeleteI know.
ReplyDeleteDon't be fooled by the patch on the shoulder, I'll bet you a LOT of Abortsford's "members' are former RCMP.
ReplyDeleteThe problem isn't with the RCMP members per say. The problem is with the RCMP management that mandates the promotion of organized crime.
