Strange statements made about the Hawaii fire

The Police Chief of Hawaii said some very strange things. The guy is a freak. He needs to be investigated. Local residents said they have Tsunami alarms and drill every month. They asked why those alarms didn't go off. He said it was because they didn't want everyone running for the hills. The fire wasn't in the hills. The hills contained the fire. If people heard the alarm and saw the fire they would have fled sooner. Before getting stuck in the traffic jam and dying waiting in line. There is some serious criminal negligence at play here. Developers have wanted that land for a long time. Why is the Lytton rebuild shrouded with secrecy? 15 minute cities suck.

Governor Josh Green says he wants the State to acquire that land. God damn him.

This is another first-hand account of the Front Street police blockade

Maui Resident Tried to Save Home Before the Water Shut Off

Maui police chief heckled by furious locals after 'water was shut off' during wildfires

There are some serious concerns about what went down in Lahaina. The NDP's obsession with evacuation orders is a huge concern. Especially when their inaction created the manufactured emergency. People have the right to protect their property especially if the government won't. In Lahaina the residents were successfully holding off the fire until the City shut off the water. The NDP need to be more concerned with stopping fires and less concerned with evacuation orders.

Maui water pumps can work without HECO power

The Asociated Press is reporting that "As flames tore through a West Maui neighborhood, car after car of fleeing residents headed for the only paved road out of town in a desperate race for safety. And car after car was turned back toward the rapidly spreading wildfire by a barricade blocking access to Highway 30. One family swerved around the barricade and was safe in a nearby town 48 minutes later, another drove their four-wheel-drive car down a dirt road to escape." Police roadblocks greatly increased the number of casualties.

    1. It's all fenced off. There are a ton of construction workers on site. The concern is that the plan is being kept secret. 15 minute cities are NOT acceptable.

    1. The MLA for Lytton made a Freedom of Information Act request to see the documents but was forced to sign a nondisclosure agreement to get them.
