Surrey Man busted with 50 kilos of cocaine in Sask.

CTV is reporting that "A British Columbia man faces trafficking charges after police seized around 50 kilograms of cocaine from his vehicle in a traffic stop on Thursday. Gurvarun Matharu, 31, was pulled over on Highway 16 near Maidstone on Nov. 14 for a traffic stop, according to a Saskatchewan RCMP news release."

"With the help of a police dog, officers located nearly 50 bricks of cocaine and a sum of cash, the RCMP said. Matharu, who hails from Surrey, B.C., was arrested at the scene and faces charges including possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000. He appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court on Friday."
Last year CBC is reported that "A traffic stop near the Saskatchewan-Alberta border in June led to the arrest of two Edmonton men and the seizure of cocaine and methamphetamine worth about $4 million, RCMP say." They were caught with 90 kilos of Crystal meth and 65 kilos of cocaine.

19-year-old Sahilpreet Grewal and 20-year-old Parminder Singh both of of Edmonton, Alberta were charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking. 4 months later Parminder Singh was charged with a drive by shooting in south Edmonton. February 2024 Parminder Singh was charged in an extortion scheme targeting South Asians and was denied bail.

The Edmonton Journal reported that "Acting Insp. Dave Paton, for the Edmonton police organized crime branch, told reporters Friday that investigators believe the ringleader has been running the group from overseas — from India — and is affiliated with the Brothers Keepers gang in B.C.’s Lower Mainland. The Edmonton crime ring is believed to be behind more than 40 incidents in the city since October — shootings, and arsons part of schemes to extort targets for money, many of them local homebuilders." Parminder Singh was named in that bust.

All Roads lead to Rome - 8151. The Edmonton Angels run the Brothers Keepers in Surrey.
Never mind the facts. The fake news has a lot of smoke and mirrors to distract you.

Blackrock, the Ukraine war profiteers and supporters of the WEF's Global Reset is reporting that "CSIS identifies more than 350 organized crime groups actively involved in the domestic illegal fentanyl market.” Actually there are only two here in BC. The HAs and the Five Eyes. CSIS is a big part of that. That's why they are running interference for the HAs and the Brother's Keepers they hired to kill Hardeep Singh Nijjar for the government of India.

  1. They knew he was coming to have a drug sniffing dog on site for the traffic stop.

    1. Indeed. I'm all for it but it opens the door to unlawful searches and seizures. Having a drug sniffing dog makes it legal. They should have those at the border all the time.

    2. Agreed. It's this way with a lot of these large busts. Don't want to say more because bad guys read this blog too.

  2. Saskatchewan has a Roving Traffic Unit (RTU) made up of several officers, two of whom have detector dogs. They work throughout the province and have since 1998. Nothing illegal or random about it.

    1. Yes, even if people can challenge the warrant using a canine alert later in court there is still a significant seizure of drugs and disruption to organization and supply chain. It is a win no matter the court outcome. Using dogs for low value targets is a waste of resources.

    2. That is ridiculous. K9 units are important tools we need to utilize more.

    3. You have no idea what you’re talking about. The use of full time drug detector dog teams by Canadian law enforcement only started in the late 1990s. They are an extremely valuable asset to any agency utilizing them regardless of what level a person plays in the drug subculture.

  3. If you've done any research on the false positives dogs give influenced by their handlers you'd think differently.

    1. Drug sniffing dog at the border would be a very good idea. These kind of drugs busts are a good thing.

    2. Sounds like you believe a lot from internet & have zero experience handling a canine let alone working canine. Of course the handler can make their canine sit intentionally or unintentionally which is why teams train with trainers, quarries & other agencies . Handler error will always be a factor as we are human however it’s nowhere’s near the information posted on the net.

    3. And you seriously think the handler would need to induce a false hit with 50 kilo's of coke in the vehicle?

  4. If you believe this was purely random I have a 3bdrm condo for sale in Vancouver for $100k!
