TBM is reporting that the No Surrender MC has been banned in Holland by the courts
just like the Hells Angels and
Bandidos. The criminal charges include extortion and money laundering. What ever happened to riding motorcycles without criminal activity? The criminals are destroying the MC movement for everyone else. No L & R there. Just selfishness and greed.
MANY MC CLUB'S SHOULD CHANGE THE L&R TO L$R, BECAUSE THEY THINK BROTHERHOOD IS A MONEYHOOD.
ReplyDeleteBROTHERHOOD IS NOT
A MONEYHOOD 😡
Well said!
Delete"What ever happened to riding motorcycles without criminal activity?"
ReplyDeleteBeen going downhill ever since the late 60's when Sonny Barger go involved and the HA discovered the drug business shortly thereafter. "Cancer spreads", until you cut it out and then chemo from orbit, it's the only way to be sure.
I'm sure there are still riding clubs in the Netherlands. its just the government has most likely done a cost analysis and the boys are out of business. I will of course be checking with the cousins for more information.
ReplyDeleteThere's a big difference between a riding club and an MC.
ReplyDelete3 piece patch = Outlaw 1%'er MC. 1%'er diamond, small square MC patch at 5 o'clock relative to the 3 piece patch.
"Riding Club" = 1, maybe 2 piece patch, no 1%'er diamond and no small square "MC" patch at 5 o'clock relative to the patch.
Yeah the 1% obsession is a bit dysfunctional.
Delete1% simply refers to those who do not follow the rules - not to criminal activity (although, logically, one can argue validly the former leads to the latter!).
DeleteThe early 1%ers (in the 1940's and '50s - the term was coined in 1949 by the American Motorcycle Association (AMA) - were not involved in the criminal activity that passes for mandatory today.
There are clubs still around from that time that are 3 piece patch clubs that are 1% but not criminal (ie 'The Booze Fighters MC').

The term one-percenter originated from a statement made by the American Motorcycle Association in response to a motorcycle rally held in 1947 in Hollister, California, that turned violent. The American Motorcycle Association stated: “99% of the motorcycling public are law-abiding; there are 1% who are not.”
DeleteAnyone who wears a 1%er patch professes to belong to the 1% of society who are NOT law biding citizens.
There is a blog out of Alberta, Belt Drive Betty, who has written articles explaining the difference of these "patches".
ReplyDeleteIn a fairly organized society as the Netherlands, a 1%er who is costing the government money will be found unwelcome.
Belt drives are nice. They're every smooth. I prefer shaft drive myself. They're low maintenance and are much safer during the winter when I wrap rope around the tires in the snow.
DeleteAs for the definition of a 1%er, I have posted the full quote. Anyone bragging about being a 1%er is claiming that they are part of the 1% of society who are NOT law biding citizens. That ain't me. I support law and order. Where there is no justice, there will be no peace. Word.
