If you were having Starbucks in Vancouver today and saw a parade with a marching band go by and was wondering what it was about, today is the 20th anniversary of the persecution of the Falun Gong or Falun Dafa in Communist China. It was nice to see Suki from the South Asian Press in Surrey there. New Tang Dynasty, Epoch Times and Ming Pao News were also there. Independent news outlet we can rely on. Post Media News was not present.
It is astounding how much influence the Communist Party of China has over our media here. They run the Confucius Institute which has absolutely nothing to do with promoting the virtues of Confucius. Instead they are killing traditional Chinese cultural heritage through their cultural genocide. This is why Hong Kong needs to be worried. Executing political prisoners to order for organ harvesting is big business. We need to speak out against it.

I think I may have made thepoint here before, but in case I recollect incorrectly....
ReplyDeleteThe Chinese Communist Party (really just a criminal cabal, albeit a very large one) cannot abide any Chinese having a loyalty to anything but them. (see "Totalitarian"...) Hence their persecution of Falun Gong, Christianity, anyone who questions their authority, anyone who possesses any power of any kind. It's not well known but very little of the high level martial arts knowledge and those masters who possessed it that existed in 1948 survived the purges of the Cultural Revolution, people who can beat even supposedly well trained individuals with little effort tend to be independent minded souls who know evil when they see it. If you wanted to survive, you went along with the program. Priceless cultural heritage and knowledge was lost with these purges.
The Chinese Communist Party and those who run it are evil, evil people. Humanity cannot afford to let them rule Asia, or to get to the moon. I believe that their ambition of advancing
China to the preeminent power in the world (and that IS their ambition, it has been since 1948, under their "100 years" plan) is an existential threat to the rest of the world.
I strongly recommend "The Hundred Year Marathon, China's Secret Strategy to Replace America as the Global Superpower" by Michael Pillsbury. It will open your eyes, and you will thereafter view every action the Chinese take with newly opened eyes.
