The Edmonton Journal is reporting that "A 28-year-old man is dead after a Christmas morning shooting in central Edmonton, say police. Police and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to the scene after the victim was shot at a multi-unit housing complex at 117 Street and 106 Avenue around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday. Investigators at the scene said the man had been attending a Christmas party that spilled outside before he was shot. Paramedics treated the victim but he passed away shortly after their arrival."
