Well this is exciting. We've talked about endorsements. We've talked about who I endorse and why. We've talked about how I endorse George Christie because he walks the walk and he shares a vision that I have. A different definition of outlaw that ties in with Tupac's ghetto gospel. He left the life without becoming a police informant and was falsely accused for disagreeing with Sony Barger's vision or lack thereof. George Christie aspires to something higher and so do I.
This summer George Christie is releasing a new book "Marked" which is a fictional account of a soldier returning from Vietnam trying to find himself back home only to discover how the outlaw movement has changed in is absence. Greed and corruption has entered both sides of the conflict creating a new battle field he has to confront. Now that's what I'm taking about:
"The outlaw bike movement was born on the heels of World War Two by the returning veterans in Southern California. What started out as a esoteric sub culture has grown into a world wide phenomena. Whether renegade free spirits or as law enforcement describes a well oiled crime syndicate, they can no longer be ignored. If history has taught us anything, its history repeats itself and with each wars end a new batch of returning veterans must find themselves. This is one of those stories. Sounds like the storyline is based on that of SOA ...
ReplyDeletePerhaps but I genuinely think George will put a completely different spin on it. I didn't like SOA myself. I thought it was too fake to watch. They completely danced around the real problem of trafficking hard drugs which made it a false propaganda program.
DeleteGeorge's experiences are real and I share his vision. Outlaw didn't mean criminal by trade it meant a rebel who spoke out against wrong wherever that may be. They had their own code so to speak which as Ralph Natale pointed out has been completely lost by the new kids on the block.
