Talal Amer and Tarek El-Rafie in the Calgary gang war

I'm a bit late to the party here but two families appear to be deeply involved in the Calgary gang war. Last year CBC reported that "Talal Amer, 29, faces charges of attempted murder, manslaughter, reckless discharge of a firearm, and several other gun-related offences stemming from a car chase and shooting incident last Tuesday, which ended in a crash involving two unrelated vehicles. Angela McKenzie was killed in the crash. Her death left five children – who lost their father three months ago – orphaned. The man being chased managed to run away after the crash but was found nearby suffering from gunshot wounds."

"Amer is well known to Calgary police and played a role, alongside his brother and two cousins, in Calgary's 2015/2016 gang war marked by family ties and gun violence. In 2016, Calgary police arrested eight men in connection with at least 10 attempted murders including Amer, two of his brothers and two cousins, Badar and Abdul Amer."
In 2019 CBC reported that "Three Calgary men involved in gun violence connected to a 2015 gang war on city streets have been sent to prison after plea deals meant most of their charges were withdrawn. The three men — Tarek El-Rafie and brothers Barakat and Talal Amer — originally faced a total of 25 attempted murder charges as well as organized crime-related offences." We know that the drug trade in Lebanon was run by the CIA.
I'm not sure who's working for who here but the previous Gang war in Calgary was between the FOB and the FK. The Hells Angels supplied the FOB though the Independent Soldiers in BC who have been replaced by the Wolf Pack. The FK were supplied by the UN but that was a long time ago. In the DTES the Wolf Pack were supplying the Redd Alert and their rivals the RK.

Drugs seized after Calgary shooting

CTV is reporting that "Calgary police say a shooting in the community of Woodlands last month led to the seizure of almost $300,000 in illegal drugs and a handful of guns. The shooting happened in 0 to 100 block of Woodview Terrace S.W. at 7:45 p.m. on Nov. 18, leaving one man injured. Paramedics took the victim to hospital in life-threatening condition. Officers searched the hometo make sure there were no other victims, and said during that time they saw several guns and a loaded magazine." The following day, police executed a search warrant, seizing five guns, two full sets of body armour, a half-set of body armour, ammunition and the following drugs:

"Six kilograms of fentany, 1.2 kilograms of methamphetamine, 837 grams of cocaine and 1,607 pills of Xanax as well as seven kilograms of an unknown substance. Omar El Gad, 27, is facing 27 weapons and drug-related charges. In a Monday news release, the Calgary Police Service said addressing gun violence continues to be a priority."

You address gun violence and violent crime by addressing drug trafficking.

The Great Battle on Amazon Prime Video

Update: All of a sudden they changed it to a paid video. Now you have to pay extra to watch it. That sucks. Now I can't finish it. It was good but not that good.

Speaking of Korean drama, this sh*t is off the hook. It's about Korea defending itself against the Tang Dynasty invasion. I don't know how historically accurate it it but it is astounding. You can adjust the preferences for English subtitles. It's better than all the medieval castle battles.

They did take a scene from the movie 300 which was a bit unrealistic but it was very well done. Historically that Korean fortress did indeed face an overwhelming attack from a massive invading army. The Tang dynasty were like the Huns. The movie Mulan was about a hero who defended her people against an invading army. Well that's what the Tang dynasty did to Korea.

That's what Xi Jinping wants to do to Taiwan. Right now Xi Jinping is conflicted. He wants to be seen as a peacemaker but if he invades Taiwan the world will see him as a tyrant. As I said before, Xi Jinping didn't start the organ harvesting of the Falun Gong and the persecution of the Uyghurs, but he could be the one that ends it. Mind how ya go. History is watching.

No snow on the local Vancouver mountains

Wow. Ski conditions on the local mountains are horrible. It's raining with a zero cm base.

The Winds of Change: Facing the rising cost of housing

Yesterday at work I was like Thank God it's Friday. Then I thought can we say that? Are we allowed to say that? What if it offends someone who's an Atheist? What if it offends someone who has a Dr Phil hatred for the Great Architect of the Universe? I guess that's not my problem. That's their problem. That's something they have to process and deal with.

I don't care about religion. There are just as many freaks who support religion as there are who oppose it. I support religious freedom which includes the right to be atheist. The WEF's brand of Communism is obsessed with abolishing religion. The problem with that is once they abolish religion, they then abolish every other civil liberty known to man and that affects everyone including atheists. The WEF wants to remove the God gene from our DNA. That's kind of Dr Phil. That obsession reveals their agenda. They want to turn everyone into mindless slaves.

Today I feel the winds of change. I'm an old man and I'm resistant to change. I always say if it's not broken don't fix it. However, when I do change I don't want to change back. Everyone is concerned with inflation and the cost of housing. Everywhere you go everyone is talking about it. What are our kids going to do? The cost of land and rent is completely out of control.

I remember doing some genealogy and looking up some of my ancestors on my mothers side who came on ships to Halifax from England. Everyone said the reason for leaving England and coming to Canada was because rent and taxes in England were too expensive. Now we're facing the same thing here but there's no place for us to go. That creates stress and anxiety.

It is time to leave. I was born and raised in Metro Vancouver. I love it here. I like hiking, snowshoeing and kayaking and there is plenty of that to do here. The problem is a lot of these places are becoming land locked. Golden Ears and Alouette lake is awesome but in the summer it's so busy you can't even get it. In Winter the ski hills are so packed you can't even get a parking spot. What good are all these wonderful places if you can't access them?

Yesterday I went to pick up a few items at Costco in Langley. I came around the corner to see the end of the line for self check out and it kept going and going all the way to the freezers. I just shook my head and said nope. I am not waiting in that line for these few items. I rode back to Surrey and went to Superstore. It's somewhat ironic that my corner of Surrey was less busy than Langley. When my parents moved to Langley it was rural. The mail came through rural route.

That quickly changed. Langley was known for creating massive subdivisions of large detached houses with the wave of a hand. Everywhere you turned a new sub division was created at the snap of a finger. Walnut Grove sprung up in an instant. I remember the residents used to post signs on 200th street saying Keep Willoughby Rural. At the time I laughed at the thought. It was like holding up a sign that said stop progress. You can't stop the sands of time.

Now, after the Mormons built that beautiful temple in Langley, the housing in Willoughby has literally exploded. Only they're not building sub divisions of large detached houses any more. Land is so expensive now they are building massive town house complexes and high density homes. Yet they're all expensive and people keep moving in. Now when I ride through that area I get anxiety. There's too many people.

I know a lot of people like the big city. I don't. Especially now that I'm old. I like having space to breathe. I like townhouses but I really don't want to live in a condo in a high tower. In Surrey they're building towers. It just makes me think of the 15 minute city. You'll own nothing and you'll be happy. Yeah that's not the life I choose. That means it's time for me to leave.

I've been resistant to that change for many years. I love it here. This is where I was born and raised. I love the mountains. I always thought if I wasn't near the mountains my anxiety would make it difficult for me to breathe. Now I see the road ahead. I love my motorcycle. I love the wind in my face. I took the scenic route home from Langley yesterday because I wanted to get rural away from the crowds. Yet I'm changing. My taste are evolving.

My bike is a cruiser but it's not a Harley. I don't like loud pipes and all the BS that goes with it. I'm not pretending to be anything I'm not. Yet the suspension on my bike sucks. It feels like a rigid frame. You really notice it when you hit a bump or a pot hole at high speeds.

When I was a kid my Virago was like that but it had an air shock you fill up with compressed air. This bike doesn't have that. On my road trip gravel roads sucked. The potholes and the washboard gravel roads were very unpleasant. That British girl I interviewed rode a BMW around the world and the suspension on that was way better.

She went off road and through the desert. I met a guy in a campsite on my road trip who just came back from Alaska on a BMW. My trip to Alaska might be more enjoyable on something different. I'm leaning towards the Triumph Tiger. I want to go rural and rugged. I want to go off the beaten path. That Vespa I took off road on Savory Island was a blast. I'm not going to ride a Vespa to work but if I was in Italy or Vietnam, I'd ride a Vespa in a heartbeat.

So I do feel the winds of change. This old man is evolving. The rough stone rolling down the hill becomes a smooth shaft. I always thought when I retire I can move anywhere I want. Yet now a lot of people can work remotely from home. If someone can work remotely from home, they have no reason to live in the big city. In the big cities, people are easier to control. They can lock you down and shut off your power. They can even ban cars. They can't do that in rural areas.

Heating homes with natural gas is clean and cheap. The fake environmentalists want to ban natural gas because they are fake environmentalists. People are moving to Alberta because Alberta has the political will to resist the WEF's fake environmentalism. In rural areas having an electric generator that uses natural gas means you are prepared for an emergency. You are self reliant. That government doesn't want you to be self reliant. They want you dependent on them for everything. As my Russian neighbor used to say first they give you cake. Then they starve you. After that, you take whatever they give you.

The freedom to move is a charter right. The right to smoke crystal meth in public is not. The reason why the globalists promote public drug use and gun violence is because they are creating a problem to justify their preplanned reaction. It's the problem, reaction, solution paradigm.

In the US we see the globalists promote drugs and crime to justify the creation of a federal police force. They want to centralize the power and centralize the control of that power. This is why Justin Trudeau is resistant to rooting out RCMP corruption in the leadership. He doesn't want law enforcement. He wants a SS to stifle dissent. Slavery is their end game.

So I'm moving. Not today, not tomorrow but before I retire. That means there is a plan in place and I am much more hopeful about the future. I can see the road ahead and it looks awesome. Rural communities will continue to grow. Eventually the time will come for us to move again. The key thing is we have to keep moving. We have to keep moving forward.

Chief Justice Christopher Hinkson is a Freak

The Canadian Press is reporting that "The British Columbia Supreme Court has blocked new provincial laws against public consumption of illegal substances, prompting concern from the government and a Metro Vancouver mayor who called the decision pathetic."

That decision isn't just pathetic - it's straight up satanic. Christopher Hinkson needs to be fired immediately. He is clearly unfit for office. He's worse than Peter Leask. Using illegal harmful drugs in public is NOT a charter right. It's already illegal. He threw out all those Covid cases as well.

Gordon Campbell appointed this clown to the Supreme Court in 2007 and Christy Clark made that clown Chief Justice in 2013. God damn you. All of you. Remove him from the bench.

Illegal drugs are illegal just like stealing or murder is. Judges are required to uphold the law not break the law. They don't have the authority to break the law. They don't have the right to say a criminal should go free if he breaks the law. They don't have the right to legalize rape or theft. They are bound by the law they are required to uphold. Judges who break the law aren't just salt that's lost it's flavor. They are criminals that deserve to go to jail. Imprison him.

Head of RCMP's advisory board resigns

CBC is reporting that "Pointing to his frustrations with the federal government, the head of the RCMP's Management Advisory Board has resigned after less than a year in the chair. In his September resignation letter, released to CBC through an access to information request, Roach said he was stepping down with regrets."

"'I took this position on the understanding that the government was committed in the minister of public safety's mandate letter to enhancing the Management Advisory Board to create an oversight role over the RCMP,'" he wrote to Public Safety Minister Dominic LeBlanc. 'Unfortunately, I have seen no signs of such a commitment.'"

Big surprise. They destroyed Cameron Ortis' life just because they wanted to remove civilian oversight. Nothing has changed. That's why the RCMP need to be changed and replaced.

You want to make CSIS accountable? Good luck with that : )

Trans mountain pipeline overruns and SNC Lavalin

OK we're getting conflicting reports here. Costs on the finalization of the Trans Mountain pipeline are skyrocketing. Now we clearly see biased reporting on both sides. In March Reuters reported that "Trans Mountain oil pipeline expansion costs surge 44% to C$30.9 billion." Big surprise. In 2019 BIV reported that "SNC-Lavalin buys Trans Mountain project from feds." Yet this article by the deep dive mentions further delays and spitefully refers to the nationalization of the pipeline.

OK if the pipeline was nationalized that would be an awesome idea but if it's being built by SNC Lavalin or any of their shell companies that is an insane idea. The BC NDP gave the contract for the new Pattullo bridge to SNC Lavalin. You can't get any more f*cked up than that.

SNC Lavalin has pulled a Blackwater and changed their name because of the bad press.

We need the pipeline but we don't need SNC Lavalin to build it.

"Atkins is a Canadian-British multinational engineering, design, planning, architectural design, project management and consulting services company. It is a subsidiary of SNC-Lavalin and is headquartered in London. The company was founded as W. S. Atkins & Partners by Sir William Atkins in 1938." They do a lot of business in Saudi Arabia. Nuclear power is not clean energy.

SNC Lavalin are also responsible for the colossal budget over runs at the Site C Dam.

Xi Jinping claims reunification of Taiwan inevitable

The Deop Dive is reporting that "In a speech commemorating the 130th anniversary of Mao Zedong’s birth, Chinese President Xi Jinping declared that Taiwan’s unification with mainland China is inevitable. The president vowed to prevent any attempts to split Taiwan from China” and hinted at a personal commitment to realizing the unification that eluded Mao during his lifetime."

That is not good. My idealistic attempts at diplomacy have failed.

2023 Year in Review

2023 was a good year for me. The Post Media News lawsuit was settled, Voldemort died and Larry Amero was sentenced. Onward and upward. I also went on an awesome road trip. Alaska is within reach. The sentencing of Cameron Ortis was a crushing blow to justice. It was a cruel and punitive collaboration to destroy a good man just to remove civilian oversight within the RCMP which solidifies the fact that the RCMP leadership is completely out of control. That is something we have to address in the New Year.

Cameron Ortis is incarcerated over Christmas and many more to come because he listened to the CIA and trusted the system. That was sadly unfortunate. The CIA is a criminal organization and will stop at nothing to destroy a good man who interferes with their criminal activity. Shame on them and the RCMP management who defamed a good man to remove civilian oversight.

Sound of Freedom is on Amazon Prime

Amazon Prime video has the movie about child trafficking called Sound of Freedom.

The Biden War Machine reopens Iraq

WTF is the US still doing in Iraq? That unlawful invasion was based on a lie and they never left.

Stop the Surrey RCMP Fraud

So there we have it. The world revolved from night to day. We survived another Christmas and look forward to a Brave New Year. Once again the Surrey RCMP have raised their ugly head and revealed their petty agenda. Pride cometh before the fall so it does.
Once again the Surrey RCMP boldly embrace the Happy Bunny Syndrome and loudly declare it's all about them. This flyer they sent out and are putting up on billboards is shameful. The Surrey RCMP doesn't give a flying f*ck about the cost of anything. They only care about themselves. That's all they care about. If they only cared about policing it wouldn't be so bad but they don't. They only care about self preservation. That's all they care about. It's time to get rid of the RCMP.
Quebec and Ontario are the largest provinces in Canada and they both formed municipal police forces. BC is the largest province left and the RCMP will do anything to stop BC from following Quebec and Ontario's lead. Their campaign is not about policing. It's about self preservation. That is all and now they are trying to infiltrate the BC Conservatives and lead them astray.

IHIT completely destroyed the Surrey Six investigation. We need to examine that. First it was the misconduct. It wasn't one investigator having an inappropriate relationship with one witness. It was a climate of unprofessional that permeated E Division and went back to the Friends of Craig Callen. Letting Jamie Bacon into Witness protection was the straw that broke the camel's back.

The amount of money the BC RCMP gave to Blaze and the Rat pack was obscene. The amount of money they waste on an ongoing basis is obscene. They are not fiscally responsible.

When those IHIT clowns were getting drunk with witnesses they charged taxpayers overtime for their partying. The RCMP are very protective of their school anti gang gig because they charge overtime for it while Kal Dosanjh from Kidspaly does it for free as a volunteer.

The humble birth of Christ

It's Christmas morning so it is and all is quiet. There are no bells on Christmas day. All we hear is the sound of silence. Christmas means different things to different people. For some it's a time of joy, for others it's a time of sorrow. For many kids in the west it's a time of magic and excitement.

I want to set aside the various reactions to Christmas and talk about the Christian tradition celebrating the birth of Christ. As I said before, Muslims believe Jesus was an important prophet so let's talk about that. For those of us who grew up in the West, we sometimes get tired of hearing the story about his birth over and over again. After all, it's just another birth. What makes his birth different from any other? The same with his crucifixion. Many thieves were crucified.

Isaiah declared that "He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."

Muslims say he was a prophet. OK so let's say he was a prophet. I had a Jewish friend in Belfast who was very sensitive about the subject of Jesus and felt Jesus was a gift from the Jews to the Gentiles. OK let's run with that. Jesus was a Jew and he was a prophet for the Gentiles.

Let's start with his humble birth. The Bible says that "Caesar Augustus declared that all the world should be taxed. And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child." (Luke 2:1-7) OK so we know something about taxes.

Joseph was required to leave Nazareth and go to Bethlehem right when Mary was ready to give birth. As we know, the place was packed and there was no room in the inn. Jesus was born in a barn and placed in a manger. So it's a humble beginning for an important prophet.

There are a couple of important details there. Joseph and Mary were both of the house of David. That fulfilled a Biblical prophecy. Jesus was born in Bethlehem. That fulfilled another prophecy. Jesus was raised in Nazareth. That fulfilled yet another prophecy. There were a lot of other things that happened between his birth and his baptism by John the Baptist before his mission but those three events all fulfilled biblical prophecies. It reminds me of a pivotal chapter in a book by Josh McDowell called More than a Carpenter. The chapter was Lord, Liar or Lunatic. The question was would he die for a lie and if he was a lunatic, how did he fulfill Biblical prophecies?

I'm not going to get in to that today. Today I just want to salute his humble birth. I'm not really an ivory tower kind of guy. I respect the hood and people who have to work.

Jesus was a common name back then. When Jesus was arrested there was a criminal in prison of the same name. He was Jesus Barabbas. Pilate caved in to the mob and released him before signing Jesus' fate. Jesus is a common name in Hispanic cultures. The term Christ is Greek not Hebrew. It means anointed one. What does that mean? You tell me.

Kings are anointed. Does that make Jesus a king? Perhaps. A king of humble birth? Now that's noble. I'm not going anywhere with this. I'm just saying all religions have a common thread. Treat others the way you want to be treated. You don't need a religion to tell you that.

As the title page of Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance declares "And what is good, Phaedrus, And what is not good. Need we ask anyone to tell us these things?” Peace.

The Secularization of Christmas

Tonight we went to Lac Lafarge in Coquitlam. Traffic was all bottle necked at one side of the lake so we parked on the other side of the lake. There was a lot of people there but it was nice. They have Christmas lights up all along the lake. It's a bit smaller than Lost Lagoon in Stanley park.

I noticed one big difference between Christmas here in Vancouver and Christmas in Central America. Here there is nothing religious. There, everything is. Religious freedom doesn't mean you're not allowed to celebrate your religious traditions. It means you are.

I think with all the Covid nonsense we saw a clear attempt to kill Christmas so many of us are making an extra effort this year to keep those traditions alive. Now we see a determined effort to secularize Christmas. I'm all for people celebrating Christmas however they want. I put a Santa inflatable up because I thought it wouldn't be religiously offensive. If the kids ask me who that is I just say he was a old man who would give gifts to children. Nothing wrong with that.

People are free to celebrate Vaisakhi, Diwali, Hanukkah or Ramadan. People can celebrate whatever they want. Usually I just enjoy making it through Christmas and look forward to the New Year but I really think it's important to see through the WEF's secularization of everything and their crazy agenda. First they take religious freedom away then they take every other freedom away after that. We need to keep Christmas. As for all the stress I think people often have unrealistic expectations at Christmas. Keep it simple and relax. That's the intent.

The Discomfort of Homelessness

As we were shunning the crowds and leaving the Vancouver Christmas market last night we walked past a homeless woman with a sleeping bag and a hat out for donations. It brought back many different memories. Back in the day, Vancouver has always had homeless down on their luck so to speak. They'd put a hat or a cup out with a small sign asking for donations and were always grateful for anything they received.

Sadly times have changed. I don't carry cash any more. So does that mean beggars go without? A former coworker of mine wrote a moving song about a fiddler on a Gastown street. Drug addiction has become much more invasive and pan handling has become much more aggressive. Homeless camps have become cesspools of crime and violence. There is no joy to be found in them. So where does someone go when they're homeless or just down on their luck?

The drug dealers exploitation of the homeless is cruel and barbaric. I remember the Janice Shore story. Allowing that exploitation to continue is not compassion, it is complacency and evil. If you're homeless you need to leave the DTES. Yet that's where the food lines and support services are so it is indeed a viscous cycle of exploitation and misery.

Christianity speaks at great lengths about feeding the poor, clothing the naked and housing the homeless. Yet Christianity is certainly not about promoting crime and Communism. Christianity is about freedom and compassion. As Martin Luther King taught you can't have one without the other. I must admit my compassion for violent criminals has worn thin. Yet my compassion for the homeless who are being exploited by the criminals remains.

Building more rental units is the solution to the housing crisis. Build, build, build - rental units. For 30 years everyone has been obsessed with making a quick buck from all that free money buying homes and flipping them to make a profit. The high cost of housing has been exasperated by money laundering from organized crime after they cracked down on casinos.

CBC put out a timely article about a stockbroker who went from riches to rags and ended up homeless and how he bounced back. Anything can happen in a New York minute.

Ginny Burton was a former drug addict who turned her life around and speaks out against harm reduction in favor of drug treatment. If we sincerely care about drug addicts we will have a desire to lift them out of their slavery. Yet the simple point of this post is the fact that homelessness is very uncomfortable and a lot of people right now are suffering.

Virtual reality Space Exhibit in Vancouver and Montreal

Vancouver's Best Places is reporting that "Space Explorers: The Infinite is an immersive experience where guests go on a virtual reality mission in space. It’s in Vancouver until January 2024. The space-themed attraction opened to the public on November 15th and it runs until January 14th in 2024. The experience happens at the Rocky Mountaineer Station, located at 1755 Cottrell Street in the City of Vancouver." It's also palying simultaneously in Montreal.

I saw an ad on a bus station and thought I'd check it out on the way to the Christmas market. It's just off 1st Avenue on the way into Vancouver just before Science World. When I looked at the web site I thought it was four separate movies but when I went there to check it out it's one movie with 4 stations. You put on a VR headset and walk around the Hubble space station.

We didn't have time today but I definitely want to check it out in the New Year. I look forward to getting the majestic views of the earth from space. It costs $60 for adults and $40 for kids but kids under 8 years old aren't admitted. They have a VR place in Guildford called Gobo VR. The have one where you're under water at the Great Barrier reef and fish swim by you. That would be pretty cool. They also have a kayaking one and a Google Earth one. That's awesome.

Say what you want to say: 2024 - Year of the Dragon

Quebecer with close ties to Hells Angels killed in Mexico

The Montreal Gazette is reporting that "A 37-year-old man with close ties to the Hells Angels in Quebec was gunned down in Mexico on Wednesday. Two Mexican media websites reported that Samy Tamouro was killed at a gym in Cancun. Tamouro was charged in 2016 after a drug trafficker arrested in Project Magot-Mastiff turned informant and provided evidence linking Tamouro to Hells Angels based in Quebec."

"According to La Presse, Tamouro also has ties to Frédérick Silva, the hit man who became an informant during the summer of 2022. Last week, the Sûreté du Québec and Montreal police carried out a series of search warrants based on an ongoing investigation that started after Silva became an informant. Police sources have told the Montreal Gazette in recent months that some well-known organized crime figures left Quebec after Silva was taken away from a federal penitentiary by helicopter and placed under police protection."

The Daily Mail is reporting that "A Canadian was executed during the middle of a workout at a gym in the Mexican resort city of Cancún. Samy Tamouro, 37, was shot in the head by a man at Total Sports Club on Wednesday. The gunman was seen boarding a motorcycle with another man and escaping." They posted a picture of the gunman on the back of a bike.
"Tamouro showed vital signs as he was placed on a stretcher and rushed in an ambulance to Galenia Hospital. However, staff declined to provide him medical attention, Mexican newspaper Excelsior reported. The reasons for his denial of treatment were not specified. He was then taken to a government-operated hospital and died before he arrived." That is really messed up. I don't care who he was. He is survived by a wife and two children as well as both his parents. Capping people before Christmas is low life. We really need to rise above that. Do unto others yo.
Info Bae is reporting that "During the early hours of December 20, the Attorney General's Office of the State of Quintana Roo confirmed the capture of two possible people involved in the homicide of Samy Tamouro , who was murdered in a shopping plaza in Cancún. These are Luis Felipe N and Juan Pablo N." The Riviera Maya News is confirming the arrest.

Brampton home of ex-Liberal MP site of recent shooting

March 2023 CBC reported that "Former Liberal MP Raj Grewal was found not guilty on breach of trust charges Friday after an Ottawa judge ruled there wasn't enough evidence to prove he used his political office to solicit loans from supporters to cover large gambling debts."

Meanwhile back on the ranch the Toronto Star is reporting that Raj Grewal's home was the site of a recent shooting. "Grewal was elected MP for Brampton East in 2015. He later admitted to a gambling problem that had led to significant personal debts and chose not to run again in the 2019 election." Things that make ya go hmmm....

6ixaktv posted a funny video of a Sikh business owner defending himself against an arrogant thief. That was not excessive force that was reasonable force. The vast majority of Sikhs are hard working law biding citizens who contribute to the community. The Sikh community is an important part of Surrey. It's not just a big part, it's a good part.

We all know about Vaisakhi, Diwali and the Sikh blood drives. Those are all good things. The Sikh Temple on 152nd street at 68th Avenue has kept it's Diwali lights up over Christmas. It looks really nice. When I covered the Khalistan referendum in Surrey I interviewed a Sikh who supported the Convoy and paid Pat King's bail. Now he's fund raising for the rest of his legal fees.

A lot of truckers in Canada are Sikhs. Where I work the majority of them are. A lot of Sikhs supported the Convoy. I saw white guys with their kids taking pictures with Sikh families and their kids at the Truck border crossing protest in Surrey supporting the Convoy in Ottawa.

Yet Raj Grewal was a Liberal tied to Justin Trudeau who bitterly opposed the Convoy. We supported the Convoy in Ottawa for the same reason we supported the farmers in India. We share the same concerns. What they're doing to the farmers in India is the same thing they're doing to the farmers in Holland and to the farmers here in Canada.

Farming is green. Plants and trees need fertilizer to grow. Banning fertilizer and cutting back farming has nothing to do with protecting the environment. It's part of the WEF agenda to create mass starvation. We can all see that.

So here's the deal. Justin Trudeau and Jagmeet Singh both offered lip service support for the farmers in India but they both crushed the Convoy protest in Ottawa and they both oppose farmers in Canada. They are both connected to the WEF and they both support the fake environmentalism that pushes fertilizer bans and reduction in farming. So basically they say one thing and do another.

Justin Trudeau is a prostitute. He will pimp any cause that might get him votes, then he will betray that cause at the first opportunity. Justin Trudeau is a fake feminist, a fake environmentalist and a fake advocate for aboriginal rights. He is not a man of his word. We have all seen that.

Jupiter beside the Moon

Tonight you can see Jupiter beside the moon. It happened last night as well but it was raining. Tonight is a clear night and you can see it clearly. A coworker has a really cool planet app on his phone. You hold the phone up and fan it across the sky and it shows you the current locations of the planets. With a telescope you can see the rings on saturn and the moons orbiting Jupiter.

The Fake News Parrots the same narrative

Free speech is essential to a real democracy. The fact that all these fake news outlets claim different opinions are a threat to our democracy reveals what their fake democracy really is.

Winter Solstice

Speaking of hope rising, today is the shortest day of the year in the northern hemisphere. After today, the sun begins to return and the days gradually get longer. If you're in the far north, you experience the polar winter. The sun doesn't rise at all. But if you're in the far south, you're experiencing the midnight sun. The sun doesn't set. Something the far north doesn't experience until the summer solstice. Seemingly you can see Jupiter beside the nearly full moon tonight.

O Tannenbaum: Christmas Grief and Christmas Hope

I saw a notice outside North Wood United Church that they had a Christmas grief healing service last Sunday. I didn't go. I recognize for a lot of people Christmas is a sad time of year. Lost loved ones, setbacks, disappointments. These are tough times. A lot of people are going without.

I remember one year I bought a Charlie Brown Christmas tree from Rona and it brought a smile to my face. For many years that's how I felt. Now I see that same tree is $65 and I'm like f*ck me. Everything is going up. If you're homeless then yeah, Christmas is going to suck. If you're in prison then yeah, Christmas is going to suck. I guess they key is to look up not down.

If you're in prison, you know you're not going to be there forever. Eventually you're going to get out. That's hope. Now is the time to start making plans. If you can take courses then do it. Don't load up on methadone. Do something. It's a time to self reflect and ask yourself why you're there and where you would rather be. Trying not to get caught isn't the answer. Conforming to a civilized society is. What is a civilized society? You don't need me to tell you that. We all know.

Setbacks cause reflection and growth. No matter what your past, you have a spotless future. So we have a blank canvas in front of us. What do we want to put on it? What kind of a picture do we want to paint? This is the first year in a long time that I set up a proper Christmas tree. I picked up some inexpensive balls and stars at Ikea and some proper North American hooks for the balls at Walmart instead of string. When we plugged the lights in I was like wow, that's kind of nice. Plugging Christmas trees in at night is magical. I haven't seen that in a long time.

I had a whole bunch of family members die one year and Christmas has certainly changed. I wouldn't say it's depressing. It's just a whole lot quieter. People who have lost loved ones to gang violence have a hole that can never be filled. There's a grieving process.

Is there a healing process? I can't see it. Nothing will change the past. All we can do is look forward to the future knowing that life does not end a death and live the kind of life that will bring us and the people we love peace. Do what the Catholics do. Light a candle for a lost loved one and cherish the memory. Remembering that your time here isn't finished yet.

The City of Surrey has a nice tree. I agree they put it in a bad location. There's no free parking at City Hall. It was better where it was or at least on the corner of King George at Holland park so people driving by can see it. I found a funny picture of the Surrey tree. Everyone has umbrellas so it must have been raining pretty hard. Let's embrace the hope and the reflection of that light.

40 kilos of cocaine seized in Ottawa

CTV is reporting that "Ottawa police have arrested three more people in relation to a seizure of more than 40 kilograms of cocaine and four kilograms of crack cocaine. OPS announced the results of Operation Top Shelf last week after a 10 month investigation described as one of the largest drug seizures in OPS history." OPP - that saves lives.

The Ottawa Citizen is reporting that "Dr. Gail Beck’s abrupt resignation as chair of the Ottawa Police Services Board on Thursday was announced after her adult son was arrested in what the police chief called one of the largest drug busts in the city’s history."

4 kilos of crack? These losers are still slinging crack. Get a life.

Fatal Shooting in Calgary: Update

CTV is reporting that "Calgary police are investigating after one person was killed and another was injured in a shooting in Forest Lawn. At 9:50 p.m. on Monday, police were called to an area near 37 Street and 17 Avenue SE. A man was found dead at the scene while a woman was taken to Foothills Medical Centre in critical condition."

"Kelvin Jacobsen, general manager of Classic Auto Wash, located adjacent to where the shooting occurred, says a man could be seen slumped over in a red Toyota pick-up truck in the parking lot outside of the Portico Lounge next door."

Yo man give it a rest. These as*holes capping people over Christmas. That's going to f*ck up their family forever. Wait till New Year. Cease fire. Evidently that's a hookah lounge.

The Calgary Herald is reporting that "Police have identified the man slain in a Monday night shooting in the city’s southeast. Following an autopsy Wednesday, police say Donald Lyons, 43, died after being shot in the 1800 block of 35th Street S.E. at about 10 pm."
It's a different Don Lyons from Calgary. Not the former HA VP from Kelowna.

Christmas Epiphany 2023: Preparing for the Aplocalipse

This is my Christmas Epiphany. Encyclopedia Britannica claims the Epiphany is a religions holiday commemorating the wise men's visit to the baby Jesus and Jesus' baptism by John the Baptist. That I will discuss in my Christmas message. The word epiphany means an experience of a sudden and striking realization kind of like the Zen concept of enlightenment. That's the definition I use here. During life we have epiphanies or awakenings. During Christmas I usually post an epiphany describing a new understanding of events during the season.

Today I want to talk about preparing for the apocalypse but not in the way you think. We can talk about food storage. We can talk about emergency kits. We can talk about getting out of debt and having cash savings on hand. These are all very important but what I want to talk about is even more important. Today I want to talk about preparing to die and preparing to meet your maker.

I realize many people are atheists and I respect that. I personally find atheists more trustworthy than many religious fanatics because when an atheist does good it's not to get a reward it's because of their own moral conviction. Often I find religious fanatics intolerant and crazy. They obsess over tangents and miss the point entirely. Faith without works is dead. The point of following Christ is to do good. Christ said as ye sow so shall ye reap. That is natural justice.

In Buddhism the lotus represents enlightenment. Rising above the world's darkness and aspiring to something higher. For me the amaryllis has become the Christmas lotus. It is a sign of enlightenment rising above the distractions the world often provides during the season.

We all see the signs of the times. Many cry lo here and lo there. Every story has a beginning and an end. When one story ends another story begins. When this world ends it will be transformed and there will be a new heaven and a new earth. That is the eternal progression we see in the expanding universe all around us. All you have to do is look up at the stars in the night sky to see this life has a bigger purpose. We may feel insignificant but inner peace comes from understanding how it all unfolds.

Today I'm not talking about the final battle between good and evil.Today I'm talking about living the kind of life that you can be proud of. What is your legacy? How will you be remembered? Everyone makes a mark. Everyone leaves a foot print. How did you spend your dash?

Christmas Amaryllis: Remembering the Past

I bought an amaryllis from Costco the other day. I remember my mother, brothers and sister talk about amaryllises at Christmas. I knew they bloomed at Christmas but that's all I remember. Mine came in a three pack for 30 bucks and the bulbs are waxed. It's hard for me to understand how these can bloom without roots or water but we'll try it out. Mine won't bloom in time for Christmas but should be ready for the New Year. Rona had a single amaryllis in a pot with a pine cone in full bloom for 15 bucks. Very nice. Evidently, if you carefully remove the wax after it has bloomed, they will bloom again each summer. That's a nice Christmas tradition.
We went to the Vancouver Christmas Market again today and saw the Soar with Satan film at the Fly over Canada theater in Canada Place. I really like that. The bench of seats moves forward over the screen so you get a front row seat and you do feel like you're flying through air. Lots of great food at the Christmas market. It got pretty busy as it got closer to dinner time but the advantage of having season's passes is that you don't have to wait in line.

I was going to try a few other places this year but we ran out of money. Everyone at work is talking about Lac Lafarge in Coquitlam because that's free. I guess we'll do that next weekend. They have a free shuttle bus from Canada Place to the lights at Capilano Suspension bridge. I guess that's for the tourists because parking at Capilano is free but parking at Canada Place isn't.

Grouse mountain has lots of stuff going on at Christmas. They used to have live reindeer there and sleigh rides but the annual pass for the gondola is a bit pricey. The annual pass at the Sea to Sky gondola is half price but it's a further drive. Silverstar in Vernon has nicer sleigh rides with horses not a snow plow. You can also rent snow mobiles there. Big White in Kelowna has a lot going on. You can go on a dog sled there and they have a really cool ice climbing tower.

Cypress has the Lights to the Lodge of course. I forgot that they have some of the old Woodwards Christmas window displays at Canada Place on the way to the Fly Over Canada theatre. Last time we walked right past them without realizing what they were. That's somewhat historic. They're very old. Christ Church in Vancouver has the old Woodwards nativity scene.

We remember the Woodwards squat. Well when I was very young there was a large Woodwards department store on East Hastings. Every year they had Christmas window displays people would come to look at. When Woodwards shut down, the City saved some of the displays and showcase them at Canada Place each Christmas. I vaguely remember Woodwards on East Hastings but I do remmeber the Woodwards food floor at Guildford mall.

What I do remember about the Woodwards food floor in Guildford is that you'd get a plastic number to pick up your groceries. You'd then go get your car and drive up to a drive through where they would load your groceries into your car for you. That was retro.

QAnon Lies

The CIA QAnon con is back. They have this ridiculous website predicting an apocalyptic blackout where you can't buy food at the grocery stores. Yesterday they claimed the end was in five hours and when that came and went they claim Y2K3 the world as you know it is over. False prophets lies and insanity designed the lead the world astray. Y2K was that ridiculous claim the world was going to end in the year 2000 or the misinterpretation of the Mayan calendar in 2012..
The purpose of a false prophet is to distract the world from a true prophet. It's like the Jehovah's witnesses prediction the world would end in 1914. When it didn't end they said 1914 was a very significant year. But you didn't say 1914 was going to be a significant year. You said the world was going to end and it didn't. Christ said beware of false prophets. He didn't say there would be no more prophets. Prophecy is one of the gifts of the spirit. He said beware of false prophets.

Food storage and emergency kits are a good idea. We know the WEF is trying to create mass starvation and world food shortages. QAnon, like the Devil, will tell you nine truths to get you hooked on one lie or in the CIA's case, many lies. I can confront evil but I can't fix stupid.

I saw a really good sermon on YouTube about false prophets. It explained the principle really well then drifted off into false doctrine. It falsely claimed there would be no more prophets which contradicted his entire sermon. Christ said beware of false prophets and concluded by their fruits ye shall know them. The things they do and the things they teach. Revelations 11 talks about two false prophets and two true prophets. That clearly implies there will be more prophets. As I said before prophecy is one of the gifts of the spirit. A testimony of Jesus is the spirit of revelation.

When I was young I remember there was a guy on the radio called the Bible Answer Man. He was the most intolerant unchristian person I had ever listened to. Not only did he teach false doctrine, he boldly claimed that anyone who did not believe his narrow minded brand of false doctrine was sent from the devil. I don't have the time of day for that kind of nonsense.

Did you know that Muslims believe that Jesus was one of the most important prophets? Although they don't recognize his divinity they have a better understanding of his teachings than many born again Christians do. By their fruits ye shall know them.

Larry Amero sentenced to 18 years for murder

Global is reorting that Rabih Alkhalil and Lary Amero have been sentenced for the murder of Sandip Duhre in Vancouver more than a decade ago. Rabih Alkhalil was convicted of first-degree murder but escaped prison and is on the Lam.

"Alkhalil was sentenced to life behind bars with no chance of parole for 25 years, convicted of first-degree murder in the Duhre killing, as well 20 years for conspiracy to commit murder in relation to the November 2012 shooting of gang ally Sukh Dakh in Burnaby."

"Hells Angel Larry Amero, who appeared in B.C. Supreme Court in Vancouver on Monday, was also sentenced to 18 years of prison with credit for time served on two counts of conspiracy to commit murder. One count was for the Duhre hit, and the other was for Dakh killing later that year." OK 18 years with no mention of life. Now we just have to check time served. Time served for this offense not the other drug busts.

"Amero has been in prison since January 2018, meaning he has a little over nine years left on his sentence. He will have a lifetime firearms ban, orders not to communicate with Alkhalil, Dakh’s family members, and others."

This is the only semblance of justice Surrey has seen with regards to the Surrey Six. Jamie Bacon ordered the Surrey Six but he couldn't have done that without the club's permission and his connection to the club was Larry though his dead preppy brother Jonathon.

Inside Vancouver's failed drug policy

Portland Officials Propose To Re-Ban Public Drug Use Portland is another liberal sh*t hole.

People are scared as gang activity fuels Portland violence

Portland crime is killing their economy

Permanent drug inhalation site opens in downtown Victoria

That is straight up Satanic. Vancouver's failed drug policy is spreading like a cancer to other communities. The Hells Angels aren't the problem. Justin Trudeau and David Eby are.

Tucker Carlson Network (TCN)

Tucker Calreon is reporitng that "For months, people have been asking: What’s next for Tucker Carlson? The moment has arrived. Tucker Carlson is BACK. We are thrilled to announce the launch of Tucker Carlson Network (TCN) – a new streaming platform that will allow Tucker to deliver his message straight to you. In a world full of lies and manipulation, TCN will be always honest and always fair. And the best part? Not controlled. We’re not just another media company. TCN is spearheading a movement against lying, pomposity, smugness, and groupthink." Nice.

Five charged after Moncton, NB drug bust

The RCMP is reporting that "Two women and two men have also been charged in connection with a drug trafficking investigation in the Greater Moncton area. In September 2022, the New Brunswick RCMP Provincial Crime Reduction Unit (PCRU) began an investigation into the trafficking of illegal drugs in the Greater Moncton area. In the early morning hours of June 1, 2023, PCRU members arrested a 41-year-old man and a then 19-year-old woman in the Salisbury area, in connection with the investigation.'

"As a result of the arrests and searches, police seized more than eight kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, two kilograms of what is believed to be fentanyl, significant quantities of Shady 8 pills, drug trafficking paraphernalia, electronics, and money."
