Awesome post. This is San Jose California, not much of a surprise, and the usual suspects as well. AR-15's and hi-cap magazines are illegal there just like here, but a good semi auto shotgun with an extended magazine tube is not and would have done a good job too. What are the odds there are jewelry store owners shopping for one right now?
If you read the posts in another gunnutz thread, people are looking for and buying Beretta 1301 shotguns from Canadian dealers right now, the ones imported to Canada aren't allowed to have the magazine tube extension though, so 5+1 instead of 6+1.
It's possible. I know some semi automatic shotguns are in the new ban. I'm not sure what the distinction is. Pretty much every semi automatic rifle is. The next two I wanted to buy are.

Sadly I think most semiautomatic shotguns are banned now too. That was the last minute sleazebag amendment they snuck in without a vote.
