Trump becomes 1st U.S. president in 20 years to lose both House and Senate in midterms
CBC is reporting that "The Democrats have taken control of the House of Representatives and the Senate in the U.S. midterm elections, three American networks have projected. The party flipped traditionally Republican states, including Texas and South Carolina, to take the Senate back. Facing major losses, U.S. President Donald Trump posted online saying the Republicans would've fared better had his name been on the ballot."
That guy is so delusional. He doesn't even believe his own lies. This flip was solely to blame on Trump's 2.0 madness. Two more years and he's done. Time to defund Israel and end the Iran war. This is pretty much what we expected.
Who did y’all vote for today: the red gay zionists or the blue gay zionists? https://t.co/vCDWgOjmRk

Biden and Harris did Israel's bidding. Lost miserably. Republicans did Israel's bidding. Lost miserably. Notice a pattern?

Marjorie Taylor Greene speaks about Gaza with more moral clarity than Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries combined. And that's a big problem for Dems. https://t.co/4fGjYd6VBy

The cartoon really sums up the whole 'election.' In the US, voting is really more of a psychological catharsis than anything like reasoned debate on substantive issues. Just like at the campaigns: nobody talks about issues, just voting against whoever they're mad at at the moment.
ReplyDeleteAside from that, both parties are so captured by moneyed interests that Congress and Senate really are irrelevant to much of anything. They make a lot of noise whenever the Controlled Opposition gains control of Congress, but in the end they always side with the increasingly dictatorial expansions of the Executive Branch. If the other Party wins the Presidency, they want all of those same powers for themselves so they do nothing to rein any of it in and even expand on them when they can get away with it.
Very true and I think it's important to remember that. Every politician needs to be accountable. The old stereotype that the Republicans were for war and the Democrats were against war no longer holds water. Both sides have been infiltrated by the industrial military complex that profits from war.
DeleteWar used to be for a cause. Now instead of fighting atrocities it's committing atrocities for the almighty dollar. I'm not saying Canada is any better becuase it's not. We have our own set of problems. It's just that when our closest ally starts committing atrocities, we have to say yeah, we're not going to support that. Yet even those atrocities have a preplanned response. We need to be mindful of that too so we don't keep going from one extreme to the opposite extreme. We need to balance the extremes.
USA bought a new Dump Trump for carrying all the new garbage.
ReplyDeleteInterestingly enough the man who wanted to restore greatness to America will be completely responsible for the guaranteed
transformational insanity to take place in the years to come!
What a legacy, what a fkn dumpster fire!
He could have been a great President but ego and delusion got the better of him and now he'll go down in history as the worst.
He could have been great. He should have been great. Instead he betrayed MAGA and demonized anyone who disagreed with his betrayal. Uncontrolled, mass migration is not the answer. If an illegal commits a crime then deport them. Don't hunt them down after you had the floodgates wide open so you can create a police state. That's the objective of uncontrolled mass migration. To justify a police state with a manufactured emergency.
DeleteDennis, i totally agree with you. He betrayed the MAGA movement by bombing Iran ( fucked that up) did not stop the war in Ukraine ( high diesel prices) and refused to come clean on Epstein.
ReplyDeleteIndeed. He flipped on his promises. I don't support Biden or Kamala. Trump betrayed MAGA. He even sold out domestic production of oil for the Saudi monology just like Biden did.
DeleteAbsolutely nothing will change with this election. Taxes and the cost of living will rise while personal freedoms and quality of life continue to deteriorate.
ReplyDeleteI believe the American voters will see how messed up the dems are over these 2 years and ensure they vote Republican the next election.
ReplyDeleteQuite likely. I don't think Texas and Alaska went Democrat. They just wanted to stop Trump's 2.0 madness. Trump lost his mind and betrayed MAGA so they stopped him. Just like they'll stop the next Biden when he oversteps.
DeleteThe US Supreme Court, Congress and the Senate did not do their job to control the executive so the voters were the final accountability check.
