CBC is reporting that John Phillip Stirling was caught sailing a vessel off the coast of Oregon earlier this week with 200 gallons (757 litres) of liquid meth. As we know this is the skipper of the Western Wind that was caught with 2 1/2 tons of cocaine slotted for the BC Hells Angels in 2002.
In 2011 he was caught with 200 kilos of cocaine off the coast of Florida.
Let's see if the RCMP get him off again this time.

DeleteI'm wondering how in the world he manages to be free to do this after the 2011 bust. IIRC that was the US arresting him for that. I never heard anything about the disposition of that case, but for that amount of dope I can't see him only doing 7-8 years, (or less) and if that is all he did I would sure suspect he's a source of information for US Law Enforcement/DEA. A guaranteed large scale bust would sure be a reason to let him out early.

DeleteTypically they'll do something "clever" like have him sentenced, he does a couple years and then the case or the sentence will be overturned on appeal, such overturning done by a judge who has been briefed in on the cover story, etc., or some other such scenario for "plausible deniability". Of course, after this one the HA are not likely to buy it, and Captain Douchebag now gets Witless Protection.
DeleteYeah I don't know. The US is different than Canada. If he cooperates with police he gets a few years knocked off not a suspended sentence. It's fishy as f*ck.
DeleteThe late evening news did report he was so high on the product he was air lifted for medical care. There maybe more than meets the eye here.
