As one commenter pointed out, Fraser Valley Today is reporting that "The City of Nanaimo, B.C., is considering building a 1.8-metre-high fence to protect its staff from congregations of people, violence and disorder associated with an overdose prevention site next to city hall."
"Staff proposing the $412,000 fence cite “intimidation and harassment” of employees, particularly those working early or late, as well as damage to staff vehicles, fires near doorways and building perimeters, human waste, and a general deterioration of the site."
This is the epitome of NDP stupidity. Stop feeding the problem. The fence isn't a bad idea. The failed lethal injection site is.
Anywhere you have any Supportive Housing and/or Supervised Injection Sites your community WILL go to shit just like NDP Liberal Harm Reduction Paradise New Westminster pic.twitter.com/pcOgl91CLH

Bet it costs less than that to close the site. How much for a padlock? Let's splurge and buy a good one.
ReplyDeleteA padlock for the lethal injection site would be cheaper than the fence.
DeleteFence for the public employees who voted for former NDP MLA, now mayor!
ReplyDeleteThe whole thing sounds a little AOC - All Out Crazy.
