Fatal Collision on Highway 1 between Langley and Surrey

Global is reporting that "One person has died after a head-on collision on Highway 1 on Monday morning. BC Highway Patrol said the first 911 call came in just after 7:15 a.m. when witnesses said three vehicles collided in the westbound lanes of Highway 1, just before the 176th Street exit in Surrey. They said it appears that one of the vehicles appears to have crossed over from the eastbound lanes and caused a head-on collision."

When I first heard it was a head on collision on Highway 1 I was wondering what on earth they were talking about. All the lanes go in the same direction. There's a huge green space between the other oncoming freeway. Well if you loo at the skid marks in the grass on the top left of the picture it looks like the car crossed over the green space and went into oncoming traffic. Bizarre. 

If someone was trying to commit suicide that's no reason to try and take someone else out with you.
