I hope that this case goes somewhere. Down here in the States, especially on so-called 'Christian Conservative' sites, the Denialism about ICE's brutality is off the charts. For example, I read one blogger last week claiming that the photos from ICE storming the Chicago Apartment Complex were faked. They claim these kinds of stories are 'Liberal Media Hype' even when journalists and sitting politicians are getting beaten on camera and even a sitting judge was dragged from the bench by ICE thugs. Maybe a lawsuit with testimony under oath will convince them?
Yeah I don't know. The polarized denial has become extreme. All this hate for immigrants and their mistreatment is just an excuse to do away with the civil liberty in the Constitution. I guess in a way it's like Holocaust deniers. They're not really denying the Holocaust. They're actually trying to rationalize it.
