Doug McCallum takes back Surrey. Nice. Safe Surrey swept Council except for two seats. This is a very positive change or should I say a very positive restoration to the very abnormal and suspicious last election. I find it hard to believe Brenda Locke actually got second. The Surrey Conservatives had a good platform but no one knew who any of them were.
Pete Fry beat Ken Sims for Vancouver mayor. I didn't know who Pete Fry was but I do know Ken Sims was facing backlash. All I know is what we are doing in the DTES is wrong and Ken Sims was trying to do something about it. Pete Fry is from the Green party which makes sense since a lot of Vancouver is green.
Green got four seats on Vancouver city council and Cope got four out of ten seats total. Cope does not support fixing the DTES atrocities we are committing so it doesn't look like anything positive will be happening there.
Sadly, Pete Fry is a mental retard when it comes to drug addiction and crime. Looks like Vancouver will end up fulfilling it's destiny by being destroyed in a major earthquake. Sadly, Jim McMurtry didn't make Delta School Trustee.

And the winner is…Doug McCallum!!! Finally! So glad Surrey voters finally smartened up. It’s good to have him back.
ReplyDeleteYes, that is a big sigh of relief. Maybe Norm Lipinski will get his job back.
DeleteWith Doug McCallum and the Safe Surrey Coalition back in charge at City Hall, I have no doubt the Surrey police transition will move forward without further roadblocks or unnecessary delays. That’s why I’m glad Brenda is gone. Good riddance. It’s time to get the job done.
ReplyDeleteYes. Getting rid of the Surrey RCMP once and for all will be another sigh of relief.
DeleteHarry Bains from Surrey Connect is the only lone counsellor on Doug McCallum‘s team. He’s going to have to learn to work respectfully with Doug and the rest of the Safe Surrey Coalition council members.
ReplyDeleteI guess that's the updated result. When I looked Mike Bose was in. Now he's not.
