Surrey recovery flop house
CTV reported that "Former Sikh activist Amrit Rai was arrested at Freedom for Life Recovery House on May 18 and police seized the money and heroin, adding another twist to his storied life and casting doubt among those in the recovery business about whether addicts seeking help can get it from this unregulated facility in Surrey."
Blaze was actually the one that brought this to my attentions. However it isn't right beside the Front Room like he claims where the crack dealers sell crack openly. It was at 106 Avenue off 148th Street. Just because it's a brown guy doesn't mean he wasn't getting it from the Hells Angels. We know the Dhurry Dhak group are Hells Angels rivals but we know Randy Naicker was a Hells Angels associate and that Rajinder Singh Sandhu is a full patch member in Nanaimo.
When Lenny was being threatened by Stuart Mcfarlan for testifying against Paul Dean Freeman in 87/88, he had a house full of brown guys with guns protecting him. I realize the Hells Angels aren't the only ones that sell drugs in Surrey. I just know they supply the dealers outside the Front Room which is the epicenter of drug related violence in Surrey. Tbarz was named as the hub of a Hells Angels cross border drug trafficking ring. Randy Jones' brother Trevor is still waiting to be extradited for that case.
The point of this story is unregulated recovery houses that become flop houses for drug trafficking and exploitation. Deregulation has once again promoted criminal activity.

free enterprise has no place in health care. this is just another e,g, of the b,c, lieberals truly not caring about the citizens of this province. it would not be unreasonable to conclude the provincial government likes the system just as it is
ReplyDeleteI'm all for free enterprise but as you say, I also support public medical. Privatization just to circumvent public accountability is not a good thing. We have seen that deregulation in the banks, the stock market and now in the recovery homes, leads to criminal activity. That is the concern.
DeleteThese Surrey "recovery houses", for the most part, are a joke. I've visited several ppl in like 4-5 different ones in recent months, and there is open drug use, drinking, sex ( in co-ed and non co-ed), incompetent corrupt " staff", who are themselves senior members of say 3 months "clean". OMG whatta joke. Its disgusting. There needs to be a thorough investigation done!! These places make a fortune. They even take welfare checks, and then kick a resident out for small grievances ( like didn't do their chore), to make room for next person with a check. Meanwhile the poor addict is out of money, food, a place to stay. Ugh...Surrey recovery houses. Maybe 1% are OK. The government run ones are the only legit ones. And Salvation Army ones downtown are good too. The rest are a scam pure and simple.
ReplyDeleteMy friend went to creekside and he said he opened a drawer on his first night and found xanax! which was literally the whole reason he was there in the first place, unreal
DeleteThis certainly seems to be a reoccurring problem with fake rehab houses in Surrey that take taxpayers money and fail to provide the services they claim they provide.
DeleteYep, Freedom is a big time dealer and his homes are a front for selling his dope. Why don't cops go hard on him and his goon money?
