Obviously you're going to need a steel barrel and order some kind of hammer or striker mechanism to fire it. Maybe that's what they're doing. It's "legal" to order barrels and firing mechanisms seperatelty. Perhaps you should require a firearms license to do that.
I assumed you already did require one. If not, they should change that given the ability of printing up the rest of a gun on a 3D printer. As far as them being untraceable GMAFB. All the stolen guns criminals use are untraceable. That's why they often leave them at the scene and call them throwaways. They leave it at the scene because it's not traceable but if they are caught with it after the fact they could be implicated.

ReplyDeleteThey work, you are right they do have to order the barrel and other bits. I watched a video on You Tube where buddy 3d printed a 50cal and it worked fine. The life span is shorter than a properly built gun obviously but the I think for these types of guns they will be used for 1 scenario what ever that may be and then discarded.

DeleteYes that's true. Doesn't apply to me because I don't have any prohibited magazines. Full auto is more something you associate with an assault rifle. Yet ammo is so expensive now, no one can afford it. It just reinforces the fact that criminals don't obey gun control laws. Many of them have lifetime firearm bans which means nothing.
DeleteI totally agree the gun control laws make 0 sense, it only prevents law abiding citizens from obtaining firearms. It's clearly there for that reason to take away the peoples right to protect themselves.
DeletePretty sure u can 3d print metal. So u can make the firing and slide mechanism and buy a barrel or mod one up. Atleast they going after illegal guns and leave us law abides alone for the moment......
ReplyDeleteMetal printing printers are expensive and rarely used as the parts it prints are usually beefy it has trouble printing small intricate strong parts.
