That's kind of a suspicious comment to make. The ongoing BC gang conflict. There was an ongoing gang conflict between the Bacon Brothers and the UN after the Surrey Six but that's over. A few years ago there was a gang conflict in the Townline area of Abbotsford that involved rivals. Now it's just the Wolf Pack and the Edmonton Angels capping their own guys.
The previous post I made that Google placed behind a warning was about a shooting in Surrey and one in Calgary. I also mentioned the hunter shooting at a deer on the road in Cape Breton. The idea of an armed robbery in Surrey is concerning. It raises the heat on illegal guns.

ReplyDeleteNo, actually I don't. Case in point the Surrey Strip and the Surrey House of Horrors. Whalley has always been Whalley but crack and crystal meth made it a lot worse. The tent city known as the Surrey Strip outside the homeless shelter called the Front Room was horrible. That's where Janice Shore was murdered. They got rid of that by offering them housing. If they didn't take the housing, they had to leave. That cesspool is a lot better now.
DeleteThe Surrey House of Horrors was a famous crack shack run by you know who. At one point there were crack shacks and drug addicted prostitution all over Surrey. Those were cleaned up. Now the crystal meth addicts have scattered all over the city and the province. Wherever you see a government homeless shelter promoting addiction, you see a surge in violent crime in that area.
Thing have spread out to smaller communities all over Metro Vancouver and BC but now that you mention it, Whalley isn't as bad as it used to be.
