The Associated Press is reporting that "The United Arab Emirates trained Colombian mercenaries before sending them to fight alongside a notorious paramilitary group in Sudan’s devastating war, Human Rights Watch said Tuesday."
"Its new report is the latest by an international rights group accusing the wealthy Gulf monarchy of financially and militarily aiding the Rapid Support Forces that have been widely accused of committing atrocities amounting to war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide."
Hmmm Colombian mercenaries through the UAE. That smells like Blackwater. Remember Erik Prince of Darkness and Blackwater? That the private mercenary army Erik Prince created that were committing war crimes in Iraq.
Erik argued that since they were a private military organization they were beyond the reach of civilian laws and fall under the jurisdiction of military tribunals. Then at the same time he argued that since they were a private military organization they were also except from military tribunals. When that scam failed the fled to the UAE and started a mercenary army for them.
So now when we hear Colombian mercenaries in the Sudan conflict are recruited by the UAE, we know that means Blackwater. Again. Just like the Haiti coup that assassinated their president. Now he has a contract in Haiti. Imagine that.
Meanwhile back on the ranch, NBC is reporting that "The U.S. imposed sanctions on three people and two firms over allegedly recruiting and deploying Colombian mercenaries to fight alongside the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces in Sudan's war, which has entered its fourth year with no end in sight."
They're going to sanction Erik Prince's competition without sanctioning Erik Prince? Why does that not surprise me. So once again Erik Prince is behind another coup, this time in Sudan where his private military mercenaries are once again committing war crimes. It doesn't matter how many times you change the name it's the same sh*t in the same pile.
Funding for the Colombian mercenaries in Sudan is coming from the capture of gold mines. Gold mines in Sudan, cobalt mines in Congo. Mercenaries suck.
"Over the course of the civil war, (in Sudan) their forces have killed hundreds of thousands of non-Arab civilians, used sexual violence systematically, imposed deliberate starvation, and pillaged and burned homes, hospitals, and places of worship, leading millions to flee and creating an ongoing humanitarian crisis." Sound familiar?
The Cradle is reporting that "Fleeing its notorious record and mounting international legal scrutiny, Blackwater, the world's most infamous private military company, found safe harbor in the Persian Gulf. There, the UAE opened its coffers, welcoming the mercenary firm with open arms. A new empire was forged on a brutal foundation: safeguarding monarchies and executing foreign agendas in exchange for cash, immunity, and impunity."
"In 2009, Blackwater rebranded as Xe Services LLC after a string of war crimes in Iraq, notably the Nisour Square massacre in Baghdad two years earlier. The cosmetic change masked a continuity of purpose, which is circumventing international law and orchestrating illicit operations from the shadows."
"Founder Erik Prince officially stepped down but relocated to the UAE in 2010, where he launched Reflex Responses (also known as R2) and retained a 51 percent stake, ushering in a new era of industrial-scale mercenary recruitment."
"South America's Colombia became the recruitment bedrock through an agreement to build a mercenary force led by former FBI agent Ricky Chambers, a close Prince ally. These mercenaries received the 'Rincón' designation, granting them immunity from prosecution under the UAE's military intelligence apparatus."
"Blackwater, which had transformed yet again into Academi, had recruited some 43,000 fighters across the region, becoming a major arm of Abu Dhabi's military adventures from the Persian Gulf to the Horn of Africa."
"In October 2024, reports surfaced that the UAE was financing the recruitment of African mercenaries to fight for the Israeli army in Gaza and Lebanon. Abu Dhabi leveraged its alliance with Addis Ababa to draw fighters from Ethiopia, contracting with firms like Raven and Global CST, which have long-standing ties to Tel Aviv."
"Eyewitnesses have spotted tanks bearing both Israeli and UAE flags, and testimonies from Gaza detainees described interrogations by soldiers speaking in Emirati-accented Arabic. According to Western diplomatic sources, these movements are part of the UAE and Israel’s 'day after' arrangements for an ethnically-cleansed Gaza Strip."
"Further evidence emerged when a deputy commander of the Abu Shabab group, an Israeli-backed militia in Gaza with ISIS links, posted photos next to UAE-plated vehicles. Palestinian resistance intelligence confirmed an Arab intelligence agency was training and equipping pro-Israel mercenaries in Rafah who received funding, off-road vehicles, surveillance gear, and media tools to facilitate internal coordination."
"ACADEMI (formerly Blackwater), operate in the UAE as part of their parent company, Constellis. Through their Middle East division (formerly Olive Group), Constellis provides high-threat security, risk management, and training services for government and commercial clients in the region."
