Mark Carney Bail reform and counter tariffs

Mark Carney announced stiffer bail restrictions. He said right now a violent sexual offender could get house arrest. That is not just. He's right. It's not.

Mark Carny is a fiscal freak like David Eby but when he does something right are we allowed to acknowledge that? Can we be adults like Abe Lincoln who said stand with any man as long as they stand right and part with them when they go wrong.

Mark Carney supported a carbon tax his entire career. Caving in and getting rid of it was a good thing. One article claimed that Carney is stealing Poilievre's policies. Is that a bad thing?

Right now Doug the raging lunatic Ford is calling for large counter tariffs on American goods but Carney is saying no, now is the time for negotiating. He's right. Counter tariffs are taxes. We don't want more taxes and counter tariffs are just going to piss off the other raging lunatic south of the border.

Although I agree bail reform for violent offenders needs to be addressed, the problem with repeated offenders isn't just bail it's the sentence. The more offenses they commit the shorter their sentence. It's completely backwards.

Now we don't need 30 year sentences but 3 month sentences for a a repeat offender of property theft with no access to drugs is in everyone's best interest.

I'm a bit concerned with reverse onus. Think about how that could be misused against political opponents because that is how they all will use it. Innocent until proven guilty is a fundamental principle in law. Reverse onus could easily be misused.
