Anything can happen in a New York Minute

Life certainly doesn't always work out the way we had planned. Anything can happen in a New York minute. I remember when my son was in elementary school he was assigned a big brother from an older grade that would mentor him. His name was Mamoosh. He and his sister were from Ethiopia. Their parents were really nice, stable and hard working.

Mamoosh lived in the same complex we did and was one of my son's close friends. Then one day Mamoosh moved away and my son was heartbroken. He walked straight up to his room, closed the door and wept. I was touched. Mamoosh was a good friend and my son genuinely cared about him.

Sometimes you get close to someone and your heart gets ripped out of your chest. Sometimes it's a pattern that keeps happening over and over and you need time to process it. It makes you appreciate what you have and reminds you how important kids are. At my daughter's grade seven grad they played Good Riddance by Green DayI wasn't allowed to go but it describes how I feel. I hope they have the time of their life.

  1. Blaze is still spamming me with loser trash. That guy is such an idiot. On that note, before Blaze makes up some more ridiculous lies I'll make a clarification. I wasn't barred from my daughter's grade 7 grad I chose not to attend.

My bipolar girlfriend was mad at me and wanted to punish me so she teamed up with my ex and started f*cking with my kids. They were harshly brainwashing them so I simply removed myself from the picture. It worked because as soon as I removed myself from the equation they had nothing to bond over and that short lived unholy alliance blew up in their face.

I moved out and put a white flag over my door. One of the teenagers in the complex I taught martial arts to asked me about it. He said what's up with the white flag on your door? I asked him, ever heard of that song White Flag by Dido? Yeah he says.

She said there will be no white flag above my door. I'm in love and I will go down with this ship. Well, those women are crazy. I'm not in love and I will not go down with that ship. I'm out. He shook his head and said I will never look at that song the same way ever again. I thought it was funny. As always, not everyone shares my sense of humour. I still like Good Riddance by Green Day. It's positive and a fitting name for that dark part of my life.
