"Mafia Hit? Richmond Hill Shooting Victim Tied to Mob Bosses Son

RICHMOND HILL- At approximately 6:46 p.m. on September 25, York Regional Police responded to reports of gunfire in the area of Parker Avenue and Poplar Drive. Officers arrived to find a male victim lying in the roadway with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite emergency life-saving efforts, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The Office of the Chief Coroner has identified the deceased as 47-year-old Issam Saad of Richmond Hill.

Saad has previously surfaced in legal documents connected to high-value real estate dealings. A 2019 Ontario Superior Court of Justice document names Saad in an agreement to purchase a property at 46 Puccini Drive — a residence he had been renting, located just minutes from the scene of the shooting.

Court records reveal that the property was owned by a numbered corporation, listing Carlo DeMaria as its sole director and officer.
Carlo DeMaria is the son of alleged mob boss Vincenzo “Jimmy” DeMaria, who is currently facing deportation proceedings over accusations of clandestine involvement with the ’Ndrangheta — a powerful global criminal organization originating in Italy.

Further court records show, Saad was involved in multiple multi-million-dollar real estate receivership disputes in recent years.

York Regional Police have not yet identified a motive and have not confirmed whether the homicide is connected to organized crime. The investigation remains ongoing..." - Toronto Crime Watch https://x.com/CrimewatchTO/status/1972047495481249824
