The Blog of Finian

Here's a blast from the past. My lawyer friend messaged me to see how I was doing. He said he was out for dinner with another lawyer who remembered the Ninja versus Pirates battle I had with him and asked me about an old blog post I made about him referring to him as a ninja. 

I said that was on my old blog and found the post. He represented Telus while I was helping the Telus employees during their labour dispute. My satire about it was called Pirates versus Ninjas. We were pirates asserting our right to free speech and they were corporate assassins crushing free speech. We went out for dinner a few times during the struggle as part of our negotiations and became friends. 

I told Suzan back in the day when David and I were going at it I dressed up as a pirate and hanged an effigy of his client. She looked at me as if to say no way and I smiled. Yes way.
