Conviction in Winnipeg crack shack murders

Global is reporting that "A Winnipeg man who fatally shot five people in a rooming house has been found guilty of five counts of second-degree murder."

"The Crown argued Jamie Felix was driven by paranoia after spending days drinking and smoking crack at the house.Court heard Felix’s father and brother were associated with a gang that operated the drug den in the rooming house, but that Felix had no gang ties himself."

His father's name is Randolph 'Chummy' Fagnan and the brother involved with the crack shack was Kyle Houle. We do need to name the gang that ran the crack shack. Jamie's ex testified that he confessed to the murders.

Kyle Houle has had weapons offenses in the past.

So once again, harmful drugs are exactly that, harmful. Prevention means admitting that and discouraging people from using them. Kyle gave the gun to his brother Jamie.

Jamie's fathers girlfriend at the time claimed she was later tied to a chair and beaten by Jamie's father and sister. They told her not to testify. Drugs are bad. We should avoid them.
