Here's a strange one. CTV is reporting that "A former officer with the B.C. RCMP was arrested Thursday and charged with 13 offences related to the alleged sharing of protected or classified information. Michael Scoretz, 47, was taken into custody on Bowen Island after a search of his residence, the RCMP’s Federal Policing – Pacific Region Integrated National Security Enforcement Team said in a statement." INSET.
“The charges allege that work-related material was found at the suspect’s home and that he shared protected and/or classified information with individuals he was in a relationship with,” the statement from Mounties said. “None of the charges involve current national security investigations, nor were any investigations compromised as a result of these incidents.”
Could be related to his acquittal on child porn charges. This guy was a member of INSET, the group responsible for the malicious prosecution of Bill Majcher. Sounds like he's former Surrey RCMP.

Surrey RCMP are always in the headlines.
ReplyDeleteEvidently but not in a good way like the Manitoba RCMP.
DeleteManitoba is based because it has has less than 1 million ppl.
DeleteAlways been treated with respect by Manitoba RCMP, Winnipeg Police on the other hand ,never.Ego driven gangsters. They brought in a RCMP, Dale Henry. He enacted some great policies, needless to say ,he didn't last long .
ReplyDeleteI have heard some pretty bizarre allegations about racism within the Winnipeg PD. I just noticed that the Manitoba RCMP's under cover drug investigations are very effective.
DeleteA quick Google brings up all kinds of nastiness. Theft rings, drug dealing . Literally a criminal gang . I'm sure not all but if you turn a blind eye to it ,you are guilty by association.
