Update: Dash cam from the other side
Better angle of what really happened
CBC is reporting that "Police say a motorcyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a B.C. crash near the Surrey-Delta border Saturday afternoon left a motorcycle dangling from a traffic light above a busy intersection."
"Delta police say officers were called just before 3 p.m. PT to the 7100-block of Scott Road at 72nd Avenue and 120th Street for a crash between a motorcycle and car. Police say the rider suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and the driver of the sedan was not injured." Pretty bizarre.
The bike must have hit the front corner of the car then went straight up in the air like a ramp. It made the New York Post.

Look closer. The bike does a front flip
ReplyDeleteYou're right. It was hard to see in the first vid. The new vid shows it very clearly. It looks like it actually spun more than once.
DeleteGo buy some lotto tickets
ReplyDeleteThere is a better video angle that shows the biker hit the front of the car in the center and and launch into the light the guy was tangled in the lines up there fucking crazy.

Oh wow, that is a much better angle. That's exactly what I thought happened.
DeleteIt does spiral in the air like someone else observed. Looks like there was a guy on a bike behind him that braked hard with his front break and stopped with his rear tire mid air. The bikes were clearly going through a green light and the oncoming car turned right in front of them.
Deleteyeah the rider said he stood on the forks right before impact that helped launch him his worst injury is a broken leg.
DeleteIndeed. He went right over the car and the bike went straight up.
