David Eby's government is spending tax dollars on wildfire commercials claiming that "Climate change is creating warmer, drier conditions that can make wildfires more intense and extend the fire season."
That's the narrative they are force feeding us. So one would think that would mean the provincial government is therefore taking a proactive approach to fighting forest fires. Yet they clearly are not. They have changed their fire fighting response and become far less effective.
They claim "The Government of B.C. is working with experts, communities, and Indigenous partners to reduce wildfire risks and protect the places we love." Yet that is a bold faced lie. They are doing the opposite and everyone can see that which forces us to examine their political motive for doing so.
Everyone knows that a fire hose is more effective than a bucket brigade. The wider the hose the more effective it is. Everyone knows that water bombers are more effective than a helicopter with a bucket or a man with a shovel. So why aren't they even mentioning Canadair's world renowned Superscooper water bombers in their fire fighting response plan?
Bombardier has started building these proven workhorses again and David Eby's twisted commercials aren't saying a word about them. Instead of becoming more effective at fighting fires due to climate change, they want us to throw our hands in the air and follow evacuation orders instead of fighting fires and protecting property. That says it all. Instead of spending tax dollars on devious commercials and on spraying forests with pesticide to remove undergrowth which actually promotes forest fires, let's spend some money on these Superscooper water bombers. That's how we save the planet. Not with lies and deception.
