Former RCMP spokesperson Catherine Galliford dies from liver cancer

Speaking of Robert Pickton, the Vancouver Sun is reporting that Catherine Galliford has recently died of liver cancer. I'm sorry to hear that. Catherine was the spokesperson for the RCMP during the Pickton investigation. She filed a sexual harassment lawsuit for the completely inappropriate behavior she witnessed while with the RCMP during that period.

Catherine Galliford's sexual harassment lawsuit was separate from the class action sexual harassment lawsuit against the RCMP that many others filed. Two names that come to mind during Catherine Galliford's tenure are Bill Fordy and Tim Shields. Two literal clowns who kept getting promoted despite being actively involved with inappropriate behavior.

They were part of the FOCCers. Friends of Craig Callen. Trailer trash swingers who kept getting promoted within that E Division management. Catherine Galliford took a gag order to get her settlement as did the many others in the class action.

Catherine Galliford's cousin Grant Wakefield was the CSIS / RCMP whistle blower that blew the whistle on Jim Brown.

  1. Well, since the gag order obviously no longer applies, hopefully she wrote the whole story down to be released by someone to whom the gag order never applied as they were not a party to it. Some might say it's ancient history, but there's little doubt things today continue as before.

  2. You'd think we could do better for who we get as RCMP officers.

    1. We can, that's the problem. They chose not too. Clowns like Bill Fordy weren't corrupt, they were just idiots. They chose to promote people like him knowing he wouldn't do his job. They knew he's be too preoccupied with other things. Like when one of his subordinates sent a booty call to the entire work group by accident instead of just to him.

  3. She didn't deserve any of what she got from the supposedly fine upstanding RCMP that she worked for. Gone too young, and little doubt that how she was treated is linked to her death. RIP.

  4. You just know there are current and former RCMP who are not sad about this. Hopefully they will drink themselves to death as well. Scum in uniform.
