"Toronto police say they seized more than 16 firearms, including several handguns and two assault-style rifles, and arrested 23 people at the scene. ReplyDeleteYeah I saw the video of everyone dancing showing off their guns. I don't want to hate but that is just ridiculous. What good do you think is going to come from that? Shooting people over stupid beefs demonstrates the devolution of society. We're just not making progress. That is something we need to separate ourselves from.

Each other, robbery, stray round, whatever. We need CCC. "Concealed Carry Canada". Trump has already announced that there will be Federal Concealed Carry down south, as opposed to some states yes, some states and cities no. "Nationwide". I've never bought the idea that we are somehow less capable than they are, yet many of us seem perfectly happy to have such an idea. I get that many will disagree, vehemently. After all "we don't want to be like those Americans". Well we must be the only ones, because everyone else in the world sure seems to want that, they're trying pretty hard to get there. I don't question their right to decline to equip themselves for the protection of self and others, I just never understood what they think gives them the right to decide that for others.

DeleteNo, I don't either, we have no tradition of self-defense, but if I recall correctly we do actually have a few such licenses issued out to some jewelers, remote miners and such but few and far between. We could always ask the RCMP for the exact numbers......
