"Superior Court Justice Charles Hackland delivered his decision at the Ottawa Courthouse on Friday morning. King has been found guilty of five charges: two counts of disobeying a court order and one each of mischief, counselling to commit mischief and counselling to obstruct a public or peace officer. He's been found not guilty of four charges: three of intimidation and counselling to commit intimidation, and one of obstructing a public or peace officer."
"King is expected to be sentenced Jan. 16, 2025. Crown prosecutor Moiz Karimjee told the court he's seeking a significant penalty for King. A mischief conviction carries a maximum sentence of 10 years." That is mentally deranged. That decision needs to be appealed and we need to raise money for that appeal because in this case, an injury to one is an injury to all.
Pat King wasn't even a trucker. He filmed himself driving around in a car saying honk honk.
My faith in the Canadian judicial system is zero. Remember the Free North Declaration? Canadian lawyers added their voice objecting to Covid restrictions and mandates. They noted that the Canadian Courts had failed in their duty to uphold the Charter of rights.
A local activist from Abbotsford used to make huge signs on flat decks and T-shirts that said Judges are the Problem. I have one from him that says 100% contempt for BC Judges. At the time I thought I'm not really 100% contempt I'm more like 95. Well now I'm 100%.
We're waiting for the decision for Chris Barber and Tamara Lich. That case never should have gone to trial either. They did not violate any court order. The only court order they obtained was about honking and Tamara Lich wasn't driving a truck. Tamara Lich brought credible people to the table. She sat beside Daniel Bulford from the RCMP and former Newfoundland Premier Brian Peckford who is the last surviving signer of the Canadian Charter of Rights.
Violating court orders in a peaceful protest is a very Vancouver thing to do. Elizabeth Green and Kennedy Stewart peacefully defied a court order and nothing happened. They were arrested and released. The convoy was the largest most positive peaceful protest in Canadian History. These Kangaroo courts violate the Charter of Rights and stain all of us. John Diefenbaker's vision.
All charges have been stayed against elderly woman arrested during the Freedom Convoy protest in Ottawa.
