Kelowna Hells Angels arrested with guns in Salmon Arm

Did ya see the cover of the Vancouver Sun today? It was a special on the Hells Angels. The Vancouver Province ran the article too. Four men linked to the Kelowna Hells Angels are expected to appear in a Salmon Arm court this week after the RCMP found a cache of weapons during a routine traffic stop Thursday night.

The police found a large cache of weapons in the possession of four Hells Angels when they pulled them over for speeding. The officer smelt marijuana which was just cause for a search of the car. Only our brain dead judicial system will likely say the search was in violation of their charter right and let them go free again. The charter doesn't give them the right to speed after smoking a blunt with a cache of firearms in their vehicle.

Note that these "patch" members were driving a car not riding a motorcycle. The items seized included several firearms, including a sawed-off shot gun, a large quantity of ammunition, and three handguns. There was also bullet-proof vests, balaclavas, a baseball bat, an axe handle, knives, bear spray and a radio jamming device designed to block outgoing transmissions.

Facing a series of charges are full-patch member Joseph Bruce Skreptak, 43; and associates Carl Ennis, 39, Dennis Miner, 35 and Cory Montemurro, 40.

Skreptak is a former member of the East End Chapter who was one of the first to move to Kelowna to set up a "charter" of the notorious biker gang there. That chapter formally opened in the summer of 2007.

Keane said all four arrested were "sporting insignia of the Hells Angels organization."

East Vancouver chapter members living in the Kelowna retirement village starting shit all over the province. What are we supposed to do? We either take up arms or lobby the government to enforce the law because they are not doing it in BC. Just ask McLean's.

They had guns. They were wearing Hells Angels colours. This wasn't just four men. The Hells Angels as an organization need to be tried with the firearm violation. This was not the first offence for that organization in BC. Randy Potts was found with six guns, four silencers and four grenades. The entire organization should get a lifetime firearm ban that needs to be enforced.

Gun crimes carry a maximum 10-year and a mandatory minimum one-year sentence. Parliament enacted a mandatory three-year minimum for the gun crimes in May 2008. So now we need mandatory minimum sentences for the use of a firearm to commit a crime and for the possession of a firearm after a lifetime ban was issued.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Just out of curiosity, let's speculate what on earth four Hells Angels could possibly have been doing with guns, ammunition, bear spray, bullet proof vest, cell phone jammers and balaclavas. You would think with that kind of arsenal they'd be off to rob a bank. Someone posted a comment on one of the news reports and said they must have been on their way to rob a grow op. What else would they be using the cell phone jammers for? I'll admit it's an interesting theory. Certainly more likely than they were off to rob a bank.

Especially since Hells Angels support gear was found at a grow op in Kelowna. Especially since Juel Stanton and his brother robbed grow ops in the Lower mainland and took them over for the Hells Angels.

-------------------------------------------------------

Kelowna Hells Angel Joseph Skreptak is now also facing charges of aggravated assault, assault, uttering threats and breaking and entering to commit a criminal offence in regards to an assault which took place at a Kelowna residence.

Another Kelowna Hells Angel charged with B & E. Sounds like Kelowna Hells Angels Robert Thomas. If the hells Angels do B&E's then who are the real rats anyways? That's so Surrey rat car thief, not big time gangsters.

Britney Irving still waits for justice

OK so Gimli knew Brittney. Interesting but not really significant. Tammy knew Brittney too but that doesn't make her a suspect. Surely everyone that has been seen with Britney isn't a suspect. Yet finding out who supplied her with Oxycontin would be important. Maybe Britney got her Oxy from the same place Shane Bunting got his since they all hung out together?

So Joey was arrested but is he out on bail? That would be rather bizarre. Letting someone charged with murder out on bail as soon as they do away with the two for one pretrial credit.

Clearly Britney will never see justice in this life. Douglas Kuntz never saw justice. Kuntz was murdered because someone owed him money. The people who were hired to kill him were convicted but the person who hired them to commit the murder wasn't. No doubt the same thing will happen in the Britney Irving case.

When justice sleeps, innocent suffer.

Robert Thomas

Robert Thomas is a Hells Angel in Kelowna. According to a media document he owns two properties in Kelowna despite sporting the Vancouver Hells Angels T-shirt when he was staring down the media during the Kelowna clubhouse raid in the summer of 2005.

Unlike Davie he seems to be able to control his drool but he does need more time on the StairMaster than Davie does. Not bad for a geriatric stud muffin. Is there something appealing about saggy arms and saggy bellies because I'm not seeing it.

In 2006 Bobby Thomas plead guilty to possessing a firearm in breach of his probation and as a result he has a lifetime firearm ban. He has convictions for break and enter and theft. The guy is just a low life thief. Now he has been charged in another murder.

He has previous convictions; 1981, a break and enter and theft for which he received nine months; 1982, Sarnia, Ontario -- the other one was in Guelph, this one was in Sarnia, B and E, theft, nine months; 1984, Windsor, possession of stolen property, $75 and probation; 1985, possession of a narcotic for which he got an absolute discharge; 1985, B and E, six months, that was in Sarnia; and his last one in Ontario was in 1985, he got a possession of stolen property in Windsor for which he got five months and some concurrent time.

His next conviction was 1991, failing to or refusing to provide a breath sample, $500 fine; 1995, an assault, a suspended sentence and probation for one year; and 2004, assault causing bodily harm and assault under the common assault sections for which he received a total of $1,500 in fines and a mandatory weapons prohibition under Section 109.

Another interesting character is Robert Daniel Thompson from the states who is another Hells Angel. He was convicted in 1987 for kidnapping a woman and served seven years in prison. As a result, he is listed as a convicted sex offender on the state's Megan's Law Web site.

He was charged and tried twice in the murder of two young girls aged 12 and 15 long after the fact. The first trial resulted in a hung jury. In the second trial the jury found him not guilty. This whole concept of raping or murdering young girls makes me think of two other cases.

Otis Garret was finally convicted of ordering the hit on the mother who testified against him when he was convicted of running a San Francisco prostitution ring for the Hells Angels. They murdered the mothers twin seven year old daughters at the same time to send the world a clear message as to what the Hells Angels really are.

The other case that comes to mind is that really old one that made the front page of the local news when Hells Angels were acquitted of raping two teenage girls a sheriff saw came running out of their midst naked and crying. That certainly isn't a t-shirt I'd be proud to support. In fact Robert Thompson was shot outside a bar in California after the acquittal.

The Kelowna Cesspool

Well everyone seems overjoyed with the news that the Liquid Zoo's liquor license that was suspended has now been cancelled. This bar was associated with drugs and the Hells Angels. Three cheers. One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind. Next stop: Tbarz.

Kelowna used to be such a nice place. In fact it still is. Yet many locals complain that the downtown core has turned into a cesspool of bikers, drugs and crime. Now there's nothing wrong with riding a motorcycle. But there is something wrong with committing crime. You'd think that people who spend that much time polishing wonderful motorcycles would spend a little time on personal hygiene. Some of them smell really bad.

Here in Vancouver we have Barwatch. People are not allowed to wear gang colours in a public bar. I hear Kelowna has the same thing. This is a good thing. It supports the constitutional obligation to provide public safety. Now I heard one province had a court decision that overturned their barwatch program. That was a crime. I can tell you it wasn't Ontario or Quebec where the many drug convictions of the Hells Angels have entrenched their criminal organization status into law which has been upheld by the Supreme Court of Canada.

Freedom of association is a charter right. That does not include the freedom to be a part of a criminal organization and the freedom to use that criminal association to harass or intimidate others.

Getting rid of bars and gyms that are owned by the Hells Angels is a start. Getting rid of bars and gyms that are run by the Hells Angels is another step since they will even go so far as putting their strip bar in their mother's name to avoid prosecution. Maintaining barwatch is another. Not letting gangs wear colours in public bars is essential.

Then comes control of the stripper agencies in BC. Speaking of idiots, take a look at CJ Barrowby. He's even on the Dirty. He was convicted of trafficking cocaine for the Hells Angels but now just runs a stripper agency for them. Why is it that the Hells Angels are allowed to own two stripper agencies and most of the strip bars in the province? One could argue that it's good for a criminal organization to branch out and do legal enterprises yet others contend that supports the illegal enterprises and lets them use the legal ones as a place to launder drug money.

Cleaning up any toxic spill is possible but will take time. Capping the oil leak is the first step. Pulling out the toxic waste one piece at a time is the next. We need to get rid of Tbarz in Surrey and we need to get the Hells Angels out of the stripper business in BC. Revoking licences is the way to do it. We can't do everything but we can do something.

"All it takes for evil to triumph is for good men and women to remain silent and do nothing."
