In Canada Remembrance Day is predominately a tribute to the sacrifices made during the 1st and 2nd World War. The 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month was the truce that ended the first world war, the war to end all wars.
The 1st and 2nd world war was a coming of age for Canada. A lot of people volunteered and did their duty. That was when sacrifice was real. Trench warfare was grueling.
The poppy also remembers all who have served in the military and serves as a reminder that our freedom was bought with a price. Yet there have been many other conflicts that have been far less noble. The oil wars ushered in a new era of deception.
The soldiers retained the same intent but the politicians tainted that intent with lies. Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and now Gaza. The abomination of abominations. What we fought against in the 1st and 2nd world war we now endorse. Lest we forget.
For me, one of the most important lessons we can retain from the 2nd world war is the fact that Hitler used false flag attacks to justify the Holocaust. Just like Netanyahu. Just like 9/11.

I don't want to hate, I just want to state the obvious. The US Constitution is without question an inspired document and a model for free republics. However, this reoccurring government shut down every time the polarized parties can't agree on a budget is an insane flaw in that system. I don't know of any other country in the world that has that problem.
It's what you would call a manufactured emergency. I remember when I first heard about it happening several years ago I thought it was very strange. If the politicians can't agree on a budget, none of the government workers get paid but the politicians do. Bizarre. Since then it has happened so many times it has become a regular occurrence.
This time is the longest in history and none of the politicians care. If the government can't agree on a budget, government employees should still get paid. That's insane. If anything, the politicians shouldn't get paid. That's the only thing that would make sense. Someone should make an amendment to fix that.

OK let's talk about a few things. Candace Owens interviewed Nick Fuentes last July and Tucker Carlson interviewed him recently. Both interviews have been quite controversial causing people to associate all three with each other.
Before I watch the interviews I'm going to make a few comments. At the very beginning of Candace's interview with Nick she says you talk a lot of sh*t. You even talk a lot of sh*t about me which he certainly has. Before and after the interview.
Therefore I think it's pretty clear she wasn't trying to promote him, she was trying to sit down and have an honest discussion or even a civilized debate. Candace claims that Charlie Kirk was willing to having a debate with Nick Fuentes. I believe that because the whole theme of Charlie and Candace's University speaking engagements was prove me wrong. When they opened up the floor for questions they'd say if you disagree with me, step to the front of the line. A refreshing change from the staged choreographed side shows we normally witness.
I think it's important to recognize that so people don't get away with claiming Candace and Tucker were trying to promote Nick's positions. Nick claimed Charlie Kirk wasn't Conservative enough which is a fallacy. When you become far right you abandon the founding Conservative principles that led you there.
Nick Fuentes is further right than Charlie Kirk but he's not more Conservative. Rand Paul is a Conservative. Nick Fuentes is not. Before all the recent controversy surrounding Tucker's interview I had never heard of Nick Fuentes. Yesterday I did a bit of Googling trying to find actual statements he made. I saw a few things on X and I'm not impressed.
I'd have to say Nick Fuentes is indeed antisemitic. He can't draw the line between a Neo Con Jew and a regular Jew. He has racist misconceptions about the Jewish religion.
Like I said before you can't paint all Jews and all Palestinians with the same brush. Ben Shapiro is a Jew. So is George Soros. Both are extremists on completely opposite sides of the fence. In real life, the vast majority of ordinary Jews fall somewhere in between. Just like everyone else.
Nick Fuentes reminds me a lot of Ben Shapiro. Both are very short and both like to argue. Both are complete d*cks.
It also reminds me of the similarity between Pierre Poilievre and Justin Trudeau. Both like to argue and both like to insult each other. Listening to them debate when Justin Trudeau was Prime minister was like watching school children bicker on the playground. They'd each take turns insulting the other and afterwards their glee club would clap and cheer saying oooh good burn. It's amazing they got anything accomplished. Oh right, they didn't.
Perhaps Tucker Carlson had Nick Fuentes on for the same reason as Candace. In the beginning of Tucker's interview with him, he admitted there were somethings they agreed on and somethings they didn't agree on but Tucker said he want's to understand how Nick got to where he is. Kind of like how the judge in Dean Wiwchar's trial wanted to find out how he became a cold blooded killer.
I'm not saying Tucker isn't controlled opposition. I'm saying they're wanting to cancel him for the wrong reasons. Neo Cons are trying to cancel him. That's the first red flag.

I went to see the eagles at Harrison Mills today. I saw lots but couldn't get too close because they fly away when you do. As a result they just like like specs on my phone. Some people had big cameras with huge zoom lens. That's what you really need to photograph them. Binoculars would be good for just viewing them from a distance. They come for the rotting salmon after they spawn. There's a viewing spot and a few trails at the Sand piper golf course. Next week the eagle fest peaks.
Those biplane aerial tours are really irritating. It's bad enough when you have speedboats roaring up and down the river but those biplanes are ridiculous. They make a lot of noise and really infringe on the eagles in their natural habitat.
