Court says India must uphold Pakistan water treaty

DW is reporting that "The Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) in The Hague has ordered India to uphold a water-sharing treaty with Pakistan which has led to a recent increase in tensions between the two neighbors. The PCA said New Delhi must observe its obligations under the treaty with on the sharing of the Indus and other rivers, which the Indian government this year sought to suspend. In a statement, the court found unanimously found that none of the grounds put forward by India were justified and "concluded that the Treaty [...] remains fully in force." This decision opens pandora's box.

It involves the idea of an international court taking away a country's sovereignty, weaponizing dams and the use of false flag attacks to justify a course of action. India is using their dams to create mass flooding in Pakistan and Punjab. Instead of holding back water in the wet season and releasing it in the dry season to prevent flooding and promote farming, India is doing the opposite. 

India is using the dams to hold back water in the dry season to starve farming and then release it in the wet season to cause flooding. During India's recent conflict with Pakistan, India weaponized their dams running into Pakistan just like they have with their dams running into the Punjab.

Contracts are legally binding in a court of law but the idea of international courts taking away a country's sovereignty is a huge concern as is the use of false flag attacks to justify a course of action.

The DW article goes on to say "India said in May 2025 that it was suspending its membership of the treaty after accusing Islamabad of backing a deadly attack on tourists on the Indian side of Kashmir. India's Water Minister CR Patil said earlier this year that the government would ensure that "not a single drop of water" will flow into Pakistan. Pakistan denies backing the Kashmir attack and has accused India of seeking to weaponize the precious water resource. Islamabad has previously said it would consider any attempt to change the flow of cross-border waterways as an act of war." Exactly.

Weaponizing dams is indeed an act of war. Using a false flag attack to justify that act is deplorable. India claims Pakistan was involved in a terrorist attack and Pakistan denies it. If they didn't do it, who did? India's own intelligence agency or the CIA. We know that the CIA has had deep involvement in Pakistan. After they assassinated the Iranian general responsible for defeating ISIS in Syria which the CIA created, the CIA then created ISIS K in Pakistan.

CNBC is reporting that "The Indian government has categorically rejected an arbitration ruling which said the country must uphold a decades-old water-sharing treaty with Pakistan and limit construction on a hydroelectric project in the disputed Kashmir region." Categorically rejected. Hydroelectric power is green. Weaponizing dams to starve farming and create flooding is not. 

BC Liberals are still sh*t bags

I've already commented on this so I'm just going to set the record straight. We all remember the BC Liberals. Gordon Campbell, Christy Clark and Kevin Falcon. All three saw the party plumet in the polls. Christy Clark's double dipping corruption made the New York Times. Kevin Falcon rebranded the BC Liberals as BC United but they were anything but and they folder like a cheap tent. 

Instead they infiltrated the BC Conservatives and are trying to rebrand the BC Conservatives back into the BC Liberals. Dallas Brodie is reporting that "Today, nearly 35% of that Conservative caucus has abandoned their posts, walking away from the very voters who put them in office."

"Let us be clear about why they left. The policy mandate did not change. The challenges facing our province did not disappear. They walked because when Kerry-Lynne Findlay won the leadership, the establishment wing lost control."

This is true. The BC Liberals want to take control of the BC Conservatives. Don't you dare let them. The BC Liberals are not Conservatives so let them go. They are not worthy of the name. We've seen too much extremism from the left and the right in Trump 2.0. Conservatives are not extremists they are moderate. 

To dress conservatively means to dress modestly. Conservatives aren't about white power they are about equality. All the Asians in Richmond that risk losing their homes because of the NDP and that insane court decision can see that. We can pull together if we let the BC Liberals go and hold fast to our founding principles. This is the war in heaven where one third were cast out. 

Let them go. Good riddance. We need to stand against extremism and dirty politics. BC is our home. That makes this holy ground. From the mountains to the sea let BC and her pristine forests be free where all people are equal. No special privileges or backroom deals and no neo con madness. Just straight up justice and common sense. "Cast out the scorner, and contention shall go out; yea, strife and reproach shall cease."

Fatal shooting in Maple Ridge

The Maple Ridge News is reporting that "The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has taken over the investigation of a shooting in Maple Ridge after the victim died from his injuries."

"Just after 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 18, Maple Ridge RCMP were called to the 11400 block of 236 Street, where they found a 56-year-old man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound inside a vehicle."

"The man was transported to hospital in critical condition, but died from his injuries on Monday, Aug. 31. Investigators believe this was a targeted incident involving parties who were known to each other. The victim’s name is not being released at this time as it is not needed to further the investigation, said police."

He was shot August 18th and recently died. IHIT withholding information from the public just becuase they can. That is organized crime. 

RCMP identify one of the bodies found in Nova Scotia

CTV is reporting that "Police say human remains found near Debert, N.S., in July are those of a man reported missing from the Bible Hill area in February. Thomas Francis Joseph MacGillivray, who went by Joe, was last seen on Jan. 16. The Colchester County District RCMP said it was looking for the 40-year-old man in February. Police said on Aug. 13 they had received a report that human remains may have been found in a wooded area near Debert on July 22."

I reported on the discovery of human remains in that area August 8th. This article admits the remains were discovered July 22nd. There was more than one body found. This is a colossal delay in getting information out to the public. 

"The manner of his death is still under investigation, but police previously said they believe criminality is a factor." In more ways than one. Thomas Joseph MacGillivray was reported missing from the Bible Hill area in February. Jason Lorette was reported missing from that area March 20th.

Packrafting the Cline River in the Rockies

I follow a guy on YouTube whose channel is called the Life of Luke. He goes hiking, paddling and parasailing with his dog who is named Luke. Recently he posted an awesome video packrafting the Cline River in the Rockies. 

They're on inflatable kayaks and have to pack them on their backs for quite a while so it's a bit beyond me. I had a neighbor who did that on Widgeon Lake. It's a long haul with a heavy pack. In this video they made a wise choice to hike around a narrow channel of very fast moving water. In a whitewater kayak it might have been OK but they were in inflatable kayaks and the guy had his dog with them so they decided to hike around. 

Earlier on in the video it was shallow and rocky. They ended up getting a tear in once of the inflatable kayaks and had to repair it before continuing. The striking point of the video begins at 20:25. At that point the river really becomes pristine. 

It reminds me of another video he did in an inflatable kayak on the Capilano river in Vancouver just below the fish hatchery. At 4:04 of that video the river opens up to a deep sooth pristine oasis. I had no idea that part of the river existed. The other part always look shallow, fast and rocky. 

 

It makes you appreciate home. 

Kelowna gas prices compared to Vancouver

Update: Yesterday, September 1st gas at a Shell station in Langley was 217.9 in the morning and 209.9 that same afternoon. This morning it was 236.9 in the morning and 221.9 that same afternoon. That's a lot more than 150 in Kelowna. 

WTF is going on with gas prices in the Okanagan? Castanet is reporting that gas prices in Kelowna are around $1.50. CBC posted a chart of the lowest prices in Vancouver but on my way to work it's like $2.17. So clearly we're getting scammed. Metro Vancouver has a 10 cents a litre regional gas tax for Translink but that ends as soon as you cross into Aldergrove.  

Gasbuddy confirms the cheap prices in Kelowna. CBC says the highest price in the country is 202.1 in Newfoundland but as I said it's 217 in part of Langley. 

Paying More at the pump? Another Pipeline Would Help With That

Energy now claims that "Metro Vancouver motorists woke up this week to prices around $1.80 to $1.90 a litre, with some stations reaching 189.9 cents, as crude surged amid the conflict involving Iran and threats to shipping through the Strait of Hormuz." Yeah but they didn't start it. Netanyahu did when he got Trump to cover for his invasion of Lebanon. 

That article says Iran should not supply the world with oil. That's because if they did, that would increase supply and the price for consumers would drop. Oil wars gouge consumers by supporting the Saudi monopoly.

Their headline reads "Paying More at the pump? Another Pipeline Would Help With That." Go f*ck yourself. We already twined the Trans Mountain pipeline from Edmonton to Burnaby and Vancouver is still getting f*cked over. That's because Vancouver needs another refinery. We send unrefined oil to the US and they gouge us when they refine it for us. Building a dozen more pipelines at the taxpayers expense for export to China won't do a thing for the price of gas in Vancouver. The only thing that will help Vancouver is another refinery. 

Danielle Smith doesn't give a f*ck about Vancouver. She just wants to commit welfare fraud by having us pay for more pipelines to fill up tankers to China so they can make more money. She doesn't care about a refinery or the price of gas in Vancouver. Vancouver needs to renegotiate the use of our port. Vancouver needs another refinery before we build any more pipelines.  

The F-35 just became $51 billion more expensive

 

Aerospace Global News is reporting that "The estimated cost of acquiring the US military’s F-35 fleet has jumped by about $51 billion since late 2023, pushing the programme’s acquisition bill to roughly $536 billion."

We should not even be considering the F-35. Lockheed Martin is worse than SNC Lavalin. They consistently under bid and over charge government contracts. That is organized crime. 

The F-35s don't work in the artic no there's not for defending against Russian bombers they are solely for bombing other countries and participating in the oil wars. The Boeing Superhornet works in the Canadian arctic. So does the Saab JAS 39 Gripen made by Sweden. The F-35 does not. 

F*ck Donald Trump. F*ck Lockheed Martin and F*ck the F-35s. This should  not even be on the table. Especially with all the childish drama coming from Trump. 

Donald Trump is Mark Carney's BFF

We've already talked about how Donald Trump singlehandedly turned the tide and got Mark Carney elected. Before the last election Canada and Australia were both slated to elect Conservative Governments. Trump's second term madness flipped both elections. People saw that and said no way. 

It's obvious Trump trying to reignite a trade war with Canada is a distraction from his plumet in the polls over his Iran war and Israel first platform but this renaming lake Ontario nonsense was a easy pitch for Carney to hit it out of the park. All he had to do was say no. Now all of a sudden everyone loves him. 

Well not everyone but more than enough for him to get reelected which is in itself a real life tragedy. Carney spends more than Justin Trudeau. We need to address that. Carney's net zero fraud and his WEF obsession should be more than enough to send him packing but no. Trump keeps bailing him out. 

Another tragedy is Pierre Poilievre's blind support for Israel's atrocities. He's sure no Maggie Thatcher. He's just another neo con dressed up as a Conservative. Poilievre's Iran obsession reveals his support for the Lebanon invasion. As a result he continues to sink in the polls. That's not going to help us balance the budget or repeal that last over reaching gun grab. His neo con greed is preventing us from fixing the problem. If he can't distance himself from Donald Trump's second term insanity, we'll need a new leader. 

Cody Haevischer's stay of proceedings denied

CBC is reporting that "A B.C. Supreme Court judge has rejected an application by one of the Surrey Six killers to stay the convictions against him. Nearly 20 years after a gangland slaying that shocked the province, Justice Martha Devlin said Thursday that allegations of abuse of process levelled by Cody Haevischer against police and corrections officials did not rise to the level that would have seen her stay the case against him. The judge's decision resulted in six convictions for murder and one count of conspiracy to commit murder against Haevischer being officially entered into the judicial record — meaning the gangster must serve a life sentence for his crimes."

That decision was just posted on the Supreme court website along with another decision about contempt of court for refusing to answer certain questions when cross examined. For contempt of court he was sentenced to two years to be served concurrently with his life sentence for murder which means zero extra time served. The stay of proceedings decision was a delicate balancing act as the RCMP misconduct in that case was extreme.

Yet to allow the Surrey Six murderers off because of the police misconduct would not have been in the public interest. Jamie Bacon filed a separate claim and won only to have the decision overturned on appeal. Then they let Jamie Bacon in witness protection for basically doing nothing. IHIT and the Surrey RCMP screwed up the Surrey Six investigation in every way possible. 

It mentions after Jamie Bacon tried to kill person X, person x started cooperating with the police. He didn't realize that included letting his GF sleep with the police just like they slept with Jamie Bacon's GF. The original person x became person y after the second person x started cooperating.  

Let's not forget the police made an audio of Jamie Bacon trying to convince Mathew Johnson, one of his former body guards, to join him in witness protection and start cooperating with the police. Shortly after that Mathew Johnston mysteriously died of cancer. Why would Jamie Bacon put his life and his family's life at risk trying to recruit Mathew Johnston into Witness protection knowing that he was dying of cancer. He would not. There was no advanced warning of Mathew Johnston's diagnosis like there was for Sophon Sek. 

Jamie Bacon ordered the Surrey Six. Letting him off was obscene.

Historic church burned down in New Brunswick from arson

The Catholic Registrar is reporting that "A 68-year-old resident of Saint-Simon has been charged with arson following a suspicious fire that completely destroyed the New Brunswick town's historic Saint-Simon Catholic Church on the Acadian Peninsula early Aug. 24. New Brunswick RCMP confirmed Gilles Mallet appeared in Bathurst provincial court later in the morning. He was remanded into custody and is slated to reappear again in court Aug. 28 for a bail hearing. The RCMP declared the total loss of this 108-year-old house of worship, the tallest wooden church in New Brunswick" That is obscene.
