Canadians busted at Australia and New Zealand Airports

The National Post is reporting that "A Canadian was arrested at an airport in Australia, Thursday, after 11 kilos of cocaine were allegedly found in his luggage after arriving on a flight into Sydney. The 38-year-old man’s luggage was selected for examination after disembarking a flight from the United States. An X-ray revealed anomalies in the bag." That's not very intelligent. Smuggling drugs in an airport is very high risk.

"The man, unidentified by authorities, as is their usual practice, was charged by Australian Federal Police (AFP) with importing a commercial quantity of a border-controlled drug. The offence carries a maximum sentence of life imprisonment." Life?!

City News is reporting that "New Zealand customs agents arrested a woman flying out of Vancouver this weekend after allegedly discovering she was carrying more than 10 kilograms of illicit drugs (crystal meth) disguised as Christmas gifts."

Meanwhile back on the ranch, My Mountain View Now is reporting that "This month RCMP have been investigating drug trafficking in and around the community of Drumheller, Alberta. A man and a woman were arrested following a traffic stop at the Shell Gas Station just after 10:20pm on Wednesday (Dec 11th)."

"Mounties say a subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in quantities of Fentanyl, methamphetamine, Canadian currency, and other drug trafficking evidence being discovered."

"The 37-year-old woman from Hanna (Crystal Luider) and the 51-year-old man from Wheatland County (Shane Pentelescu) jointly face charges including possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking."

"RCMP are continuing to investigate this matter and they are issuing a warning to the public that the seized Fentanyl, in this case, was in the shape of a heart. This is very concerning, as it may make it more appealing to children who may think it is candy. Please speak to your children about this danger.”

Spending Christmas in jail is not a wise career choice.

  1. Merry Christmas to all those who will live to see the New Year because they'll never get a chance to buy this stuff.

  2. The airport busts are just independent idiots. The real bulk moves through the ports as we both know. With drones we're probably going to see a lot more busts too.
