Drug enforcer sentenced for executing bystander

CTV is reporting that "A B.C. man convicted of the intentional and ruthless killing of a bystander while acting as an enforcer in the drug trade has been sentenced for a second time in the slaying. Hugh Alexander McIntosh will serve 17 years in prison for second-degree murder before he is eligible for parole, the judge ruled, noting that the Nov. 22 sentencing(opens in a new tab) came after the successful appeal of a first-degree murder conviction earlier this year."

He was an enforcer in the drug trade and executed a bystander. Wow. "In 2019, the court heard, McIntosh and an associate went to the Kamloops home of a drug dealer – a woman identified as K.C. in the decision – who had recently been robbed of $20,000. While there, during a conflict with K.C. over the missing money, McIntosh killed K.C.'s housemate J.G. execution style, shooting him once in the back of the head, the court heard."

"McIntosh also shot K.C. five times, hitting her twice in the head, causing injuries that required a "large portion of her skull" to be removed. He was sentenced to 12 years in prison for her attempted murder." This is a copy of the decision

We don't have to guess who he was an enforcer for. The associate was Gordon Wayne Braaten. He was a Kamloops drug dealer sentenced to 7 years for the execution

The narrative in this case doesn't make sense. If she had been robbed and he was her enforcer why would he shoot her? Why would he show up with another drug dealer he was enforcing for? Was she  rival? That would make more sense.

  1. 7 years for a drug business related murder doesn't make sense either, life is more like it.

    1. Indeed. Gordon didn't pull the trigger, Hugh did. Hugh was convicted of first degree murder and appealed. He was then convicted of second degree murder. He shouldn't have been granted his appeal. That was another bad judge f*cking us over.

  2. It seems that McIntosh was Braaten's enforcer. Not K.C.'s. I'd guess that Braaten was supplying KC and that she fronted product and the stolen $20K was supposed to be the payment. Braaten probably didn't believe that the money was stolen and that she had actually ripped them off and then gave the order to shoot them. He should have taken the $9K and then just had her sell more drugs to recover the rest. This was all over $11K. Like give your head a shake buddy.

    1. That's quite possible. As you say it wasn't worth it.

    2. Nice theory. It was already written that the so called debt was to J.D. You should just ask Dennis Watson who J.D. is. Anyone from Kamloops who knows anything about the city knows who J.D. is being that he and Gordon called each other brothers. Surely B.C.’s prominent expert of organized crime should be able to blog all about it lol. At the end of the day, Kelly and Glover were both shot because this is what happens when fall down junkies fight for control of the drug scene.
