Olympic Committee Refuses to reinstate Russia
Well this is disappointing to say the least. The Court of Arbitration for Sport ordered the Olympic Committee to reinstate 28 Russian athletes but the Olympic committee has refused to lift the ban and did not let the Russian fag be flown at the opening exercises in Korea. Consequently I will no longer be covering, watching or endorsing Olympic events. The Olympics without Russia is not the Olympics. A gold medal without Russia competing is not a gold medal.
Olympic corruption is nothing new. We saw it at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake. We saw it at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio. October 2017 the Guardian reported Rio 2016 Olympic chief Carlos Nuzman arrested in corruption investigation. "Nuzman was arrested on suspicion of corruption, money laundering and participating in a criminal operation after Brazilian prosecutors alleged his estate increased in value by 457% between 2006 and 2016. They claimed not to have been able to locate any evidence of increased income."
September 2017 the Guardian reported that Familiar whiff of corruption continues to taint Olympic Games. "The Tokyo Olympics bid team made secret €1.3m payments to the Black Tidings bank account in Singapore, which is associated with the same notorious fixer who is accused of using illegitimate means to help Rio." The Olympic Committee is so corrupt it is beyond repair and I will not longer endorse the Olympics. I will endorse international sporting events instead.
In 2016 Flotrack reported that The IOC's True Ideals: Corruption and Greed. "These Summer Games have been marred by controversy, and in turn, have opened the International Olympic Committee's (IOC) practices up to public scrutiny. In the most recent episode of HBO's "Real Sports," Bryant Gumbel and his team of journalists delivered a 90-minute expose on the IOC's long history of corruption, greed and human rights violations."
"The Olympic Games are marketed as more than just a way to showcase the best athletes in the world. The Games, according to the IOC, are the only way of bringing the world together in peace. But a deeper investigation reveals something else: the glory of reaching the pinnacle of sport is just a marketing pitch. In reality, the IOC is driven solely by a lust for money, and have repeatedly exhibited a total lack of compassion for the athletes and ruined cities they often leave in their wake. To support a country's bid, individual IOC members have requested everything from cash to paying for plastic surgery for their spouses."
International sporting events like world cup soccer, world cup hockey and rugby are worth watching. The Olympics are not. Recreating the Worlds Fair would be much more productive. Last year the World's Expo was held in Kazakhstan.
Science world and the Expo Skytrain line in Vancouver is a reminder of Expo /86. Montreal and Seattle both have reminders of when they hosted world fairs. That is worth supporting.
BCLC staff unable to properly use $7-million, anti-money-laundering software program
The Vancouver Sun is reporting that "In the middle of a money-laundering crisis, B.C. Lottery Corp. analysts are stuck manually digging for data on risky gamblers and large transactions because of problems with a new, $7.3-million, anti-money-laundering software system, Postmedia News has learned." Any time you mention tracking software that raises a red flag.
William Hamilton from Inslaw created a versatile tracking program called Promis. The CIA stole it, put a Trojan horse in it and sold it to the RCMP so they could keep track of all their police files. The Trojan horse gave the CIA access to all the RCMP's files. The pirated program has been given various names over the years including Prism which Edward Snowden talked about.
Locally the Promis software is being used to track our medical records in BC. That means the CIA also has access to all our medical records. Using the CIA's version of the Promis software with the Trojan horse in it to track money laundering is somewhat counter productive.
Not only will it give the CIA info on all their drug tracking rivals, it will also let them know when we are onto one of their money laundering scams so they can change it up before there is a conviction. If we only had a brain. If you want tracking software go to Bill Hamilton. I can put you in touch with him. Just don't use the CIA's version with the Trojan horse.

Alberta Premier shoots herself in the foot
Well this is sadly unfortunate. I was going to sit this one out but the Alberta Premier's folly has forced me to weigh in and declare all bets are off. Justin Trudeau came to Vancouver Island to face the environmental opposition to a second pipeline in BC head on. At that time I thought the environmentalists were being petty and that twinning an existing pipeline was better than cutting a new pipeline through an old growth forest. I felt it represented a fair compromise.
A restaurant owner in Alberta said they were going to boycott BC wine because the BC government has expressed concerns about the volume of toxic oil sand bitumen that travels through BC. That was pretty petty and childish but I chose to ignore it because it was just one restaurant owner. Having worked in that industry I know very well that there is a slim profit margin after food cost and labour costs. That industry benefits from tourism. Do you think I will ever eat at that restaurant now? Not a snowballs chance in hell. Now that the Alberta Premier is foolish enough to repeat that pledge I am now forced to weigh in.
The Vancouver Sun is reporting that "Tuesday, Alberta Premier Rachel Notley said the agency of her government that is the provincial wholesaler of alcohol will stop buying B.C. wine." AYFKM? What a stupid child. Do you think you are some kind of trade union that will bring us to our knees by going on strike? You are delusional. That is not how things work in the real world.
Trade agreements are built upon mutual respect. No one likes arrogant entitlement. This is our home. We have a right to protect it. What does Alberta have to attract tourism? The oil sands. Come and see our toxic cease pool everyone. It's a great place to visit. Not. We have pristine oceans and forests that we want to protect. Banff and Lake Louise is wonderful. The people there respect the environment because they live in a paradise like we do, as opposed to a toxic dump.
John Horgan has every right to express a concern about the amount of bitumen that passes through BC because it isn't just oil it is toxic oil sand sludge that requires a significant amount of refining. Refining Alberta tar sands bitumen produces petroleum coke as a by product. This created a mountain of toxic waste in Detroit which I previously reported on.
The Guardian reported that "It was the dirty secret of Alberta's tar sands – until the black mountain of petroleum coke on the banks of the Detroit River grew to occupy an entire city block three storeys high." Any responsible human being needs to discuss what we are going to do with that toxic byproduct.
When the Premier of Alberta stomps her feet like a spoilt child demanding entitlement I say negotiations are over. I was on your side but you just lost my support. All bets are off. You lost the Northern Gateway project and now you just lost this one too. Now you will have to build your tar sands pipeline out east. We don't want it any more. Go F*ck yourself. No really. Take your petroleum coke and cram it up your a*s. This deal is dead in the water.
Chicago had the same problem Detroit did. Huge mountains of petroleum coke left over from refining dirty Alberta tar sands bitumen. They succeeded in getting rid of the petcoke mountains by shipping it to India. Only India doesn't want it any more either because it is even more toxic than coal. Now, Alberta wants to cram it on us claiming we do not have a right to express concerns. Yes we do. Just like everyone else has.
Quebec activists buy up B.C. wine in solidarity with the West Coast. Quebec has twice the population that Alberta does. It is a much larger market for BC wine. Je me souviens.
CTV is reporting that "An organic chardonnay icewine bottled in Kelowna, B.C. came in first in an international competition hosted in France. Summerhill Pyramid Winery's 2014 vintage beat out more than 700 entries for its spot at the top of the list, and was the only Canadian product in the competition's top 10. The majority of the other bottles in the Chardonnay du Monde's top 10 were from France, though second place went to a bottle from Spain, third was South African and fourth was Austrian." France is the centre of the world when it comes to wine. However, BC puts out some affordable credible wines. The Wines of British Columbia.

SNC-Lavalin secures contract for Montreal’s rail project
The world's most corrupt construction company just got the contract for Montreal's light rail. Keep SNC-Lavalin out of Surrey! At least that project is above ground. Sky Train is better for Surrey than LRT. Infrastructure expert gives Surrey LRT poor score. LRT for Surrey is a bad idea.

BC unveils rules on pot
Well the BC NDP hit it out of the park when they came up with their pot rules for when pot is legalized July 1st. Their policy represents a flawless victory. CBC is reporting that: "liquor stores will not be allowed to sell cannabis, with the B.C Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB) creating and operating a new standalone network of public retail stores."
"The legal age of possession will be 19, with adults allowed to possess up to 30 grams of non-medical cannabis. Other important details include the following: Cannabis will not be allowed inside vehicles (unless in a sealed package or an inaccessible place) and those caught driving while impaired will be given a 90-day prohibition."
"Adults will be allowed to grow up to four cannabis plants per household, but they may not be visible from public spaces, and landlords and strata councils will have the right to ban cultivation. Smoking and vaping of non-medical cannabis will be banned in beaches, parks, playgrounds and other places frequented by children, according to the government."
Although it's not a big deal, I agree and personally rather not see pot sold in existing liquor stores. I don't smoke pot, like pot and didn't support the legalization of pot. That's why I rather it be sold in separate stand alone pot shops. That way I don't have to see or smell it. If I'm picking up a nice bottle of wine with diner, I rather not have to see all that stuff.
Some activists expressed concern about the government's policy to give landlords and strata corporations the authority to restrict or ban cultivation. I think that is more than fair. A landlord has the right to say no smoking and no pot growing in their premises.
One of the biggest problems we are going to face with pot legalization is all these cocky potheads blowing smoke in people's faces. That is rude when smokers do it with cigarette smoke and it is worse when pot smokers do it with pot smoke. Smoking anything is bad for you. That's why the leading cause of death in house fires is smoke inhalation. Pot smoking has to be banned where ever cigarette smoking is banned.
Allowing existing pot shops to continue as long as they get licensed is ideal. I support the free market model as opposed to the Communist model. However, the cost of licensing shouldn't be too expensive or else small business couldn't get in. Keep the licensing fees low and collect a tax on sales. That's fair for everyone.
Here's the kicker: Should members of the Hells Angels or people with prior pot convictions be allowed to get a licence? Why not? People said legalizing pot will get organized crime out of the business. My response was no it will not. It will simply make it impossible for the police to arrest them. However, the point is, why should the police arrest Hells Angels for growing or selling pot? They shouldn't. They should arrest them for selling crack or fentanyl. If the Hells Angels can make money off the sale of pot have at it. The concern I have always had was trading all that BC Bud in the US for cocaine and bringing it back here to be sold as crack. That was simply greed.
Jared White charged in murder of Ashley Chisholm
The Fort McMurray Today is reporting that "Wood Buffalo RCMP have arrested 30-year-old Fort McMurray man Jared Lee White in connection with the murder of Ashley Chisholm on Feb. 11." CBC is reporting that Ashley Chisholm is a guy and was found dead last Sunday night.
As we previously reported, Jared White is a Hells Angels associate tied to the Whiteboy Posse. In 2014 he was charged with forcible confinement, assault and robbery along with Darryl Kavanagh who is a debt collector for the Hells Angels and the Syndicate in Fort Mac.

BC Government wants to seize crime cash
The Vancouver Sun is reporting that "The B.C. government wants to confiscate more than $100,000 in cash that was seized from a Vancouver apartment where police also found an arsenal of weapons and a large quantity of drugs." Well it wasnt a large quantity of drugs it was a small qualnity of drugs. But they alos found a loaded AK 47. " A total of 15 firearms were seized, including the AK-47, a shotgun, numerous handguns and revolvers, and a submachine gun. About 400 rounds of ammunition were also found in the suite."
That's a lot of money and a lot of guns found in a sh*t hole in the DTES. The small quantity of drugs isn;t surprising because at the street level they usually have small quantities with runners restocking supplies as needed. That much cash is evidence of how much money the drug dealers are making from their brutal exploitation in the DTES.
Seizing the proceeds of crime wouldn't be such a bad thing if they were actually making a genuine attempt to disrupt the drug trafficking. It becomes problematic when they make absolutely no attempt whatsoever to disrupt drug trafficking and focus solely on seizing the proceeds of crime. That's what happened in LA during Freeway Ricky's day.
All the police are doing now is collecting finder fees for letting the drug trafficking continue unbridled. We need to disrupt the drug trafficking. To stand by and watch the drug dealers traffic fentanyl without stopping them and then simply seize the proceeds of crime is blood money. People died for that money. We need to disrupt the drug trafficking not collect finder fees.
Surrey woman, 63, pricked by used needle
The Surrey Now Leader is reporting that "Last week, 63-year-old Mary Hauser was dreaming of retirement. Today, she’s wondering if she’ll be alive to enjoy it. Longtime Surrey resident Mary Hauser told the Now-Leader she was pricked by a used needle while cleaning a parenting room at Central City Shopping Centre last Saturday."
I actually know her. She was a longtime activist for years. The free needle obviously came from Vancouver Coastal Health. Health has absolutely nothing to do with them. Back in the day, needle exchanges used to be exchanges. Addicts would hand in their used needle and get a clean needle in exchange. Then the doctors of death changed the policy. Instead of exchanging used needles for clean needles they just started handing out free needles.
Now the addicts thrown their used needles anywhere they want including children's playgrounds because they know they'll get a new needle for free. They even throw them all over the grocery store at Surrey Central. That isn't harm reduction. That is harm promotion.
January 10th CTV News reported that "Victoria police are warning the public that a second person was pricked by a syringe just a day after it happened to a toddler at a downtown McDonald's. Police say a woman was walking her dog in the 700-block of Pembroke Street Tuesday night when the pet went after a paper bag next to a garbage can. She grabbed the bag away from the dog and felt a needle prick her hand." Coastal Health is not promoting health.
Needles are bad enough but handing out free crack pipes is just plain wrong. At least with needle exchanges there is a plausible argument behind it. The objective of needle exchanges is to get used needles off the street so someone doesn't get AIDS. You don't get AIDS from a crack pipe. Turning lethal injection sites into safe inhalation sites where people can smoke crack on the taxpayers dime is just plain evil. There is no social justice in it.

Taiwan Earthquake Tilts Towers
The USA Today is reporting that "At least six people were killed and 76 missing following a strong earthquake near Taiwan's east coast that caused several buildings to cave in and tilt dangerously. Rescuers worked frantically Wednesday to find survivors and free those trapped."
CBS is reporting that "The shallow, magnitude 6.4 quake that struck late Tuesday night caused at least four buildings to cave in and tilt dangerously." It's pretty bizarre seeing these towers tilt at such an extreme angle and remain intact. None of them collapsed at free fall speed into their own blueprint. Imagine that. 9/11: Explosive Evidence - Experts Speak Out.

Donnie McWhirter pleads guilty again
The fro ho is in the news again. Castanet is reporting that "On Monday, McWhirter pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine and MDMA for the purpose of trafficking, along with unlawful possession of a shotgun and rifle while he was prohibited. Police said at the that time three large boxes of clothing with the Independent Soldiers logo was found in a Lake Country house in connection with the arrest. McWhirter will be back in court on May 28 for a three-day sentencing hearing." What do you think the odds are that the sniveling little rat faced git gets off again?
Initially Castanet reported that the POS and his rock throwing jailbait GF were caught with half a kilo of crystal meth, half a kilo of MDMA powder and just under 6,000 ecstasy pills. Remember when he got his ass kicked at the Liquid Zoo? In 2012 Flysh*t pleaded guilty to assault in his sexual assault case. It was a K file which means domestic assault. He beat up a girl.
He was initially charged with sexual assault but copped a plea to common assault. This is an exert from a letter Joey Verma sent him from prison. Way to pick 'em teletubbies.
Check the serial numbers on the rifle and shotgun. They were probably Joey's. Joey was the hunter. There's not a snowballs chance in hell anyone from the club would give that idiot a gun. It was probably the same shotgun used to kill Britney Irving. Meth Head. My offer stands.
