Saanich police officer commits suicide after being charged with sexual assault

The Vancouver Sun is reporting that "Two police officers in Greater Victoria have been charged with unlawful sexual contact with a woman they met while on duty.

"The Central Saanich Police Service asked the Vancouver Police Department to investigate after receiving a report of the allegations on Oct. 28. On Tuesday, prosecutors filed charges against Matthew Ball, 43, for sexual assault and breach of trust for alleged offences between Feb. 1, 2019, and Oct. 31, 2023. Ball, a sergeant, worked for the Calgary Police Service for 12 years and has been in Central Saanich since 2016."

"Ryan Johnson, 40, was charged with sexual assault for alleged offences between Feb. 6 and March 8, 2020. Johnson became a constable in Central Saanich in 2017."

"Ball and Johnson are believed to have acted independently, Wilson alleged, but had separate, intimate relationships at different times with the woman."

CBC is reporting that "CBC News has learned that a Central Saanich Police Services (CSPS) officer charged with sexual assault on Tuesday has died. Several police sources say Matthew Ball died by suicide Tuesday."

Well this is a complete tragedy. Sexual assault is a serious allegation and suicide is a tragic end to someone's life.

What I find strange is that Matthew Ball was charged with sexual assault for alleged offences between Feb. 1, 2019, and Oct. 31, 2023. That's a very long period of time. It wasn't just one act of rape. It has the appearance of a relationship.

Ryan Johnson was charged with sexual assault for alleged offences between Feb. 6 and March 8, 2020. Offenses over a two month period over 4 years ago.

It all sounds very strange. Obviously if someone was raped by a police officer there would be a hesitancy in reporting it out of a fear that nothing would get done and reporting it would cause a violent reaction. Yet as the police union said there is the presumption of innocence until found guilty in a court of law.

I do recall once a female cop was having an affair with another cop and when he spouse found out about it she charged him with sexual assault. We do know E Division has had a long history of inappropriate sexual relationships.

Russian General assassinated in Moscow by the CIA

Yahoo News is reporting that "Russia's security service says it has detained a suspect in the killing of a senior general in Moscow. The suspect was described as an Uzbek citizen recruited by Ukrainian intelligence services."

Currently the Ukrainian intelligence services work for the CIA. This is outrageous. The CIA that led the coup in the Ukraine and manufactured this provoked conflict continue to try and escalate the conflict knowing full well that Donald Trump will deescalate the conflict by cutting back Zelensky's funding.

They already authorized launching missiles at Moscow which would justify Moscow sending missiles to Washington. They did that after Trump was elected to intentionally provoke a conflict. Likewise this recent assassination is just as outrageous. The fake news loves to trash talk Russia but what happens when they return fire? Will you still be laughing then? RFK and Tulsi Gabbard would not support these acts of aggression.

Just like how the CIA used their own ISIS K terrorists they created in Pakistan to launch a terrorist attack in Moscow.

Now the fake news is reprinting unedited CIA press releases claiming this top general was in charge of chemical weapons. F*ck off! Russia was not using chemical weapons in the Ukraine. Remember Russia's house of horrors at the WEF's forum in Davos? The WEF LIED and claimed Russia was torturing prisoners. The Ukraine were. They were castrating Russian prisoners. When the Ukrainian Nazis held prisoner started to confess, Zelensky torched them with white phosphorus. Who he got from the US.

Just like how Saddam Hussein used chemical weapons he got from the US on Iran. He used mustard gas on civilians

God damn the CIA. God bless RFK and Tulsi Gabbard.

Trump mocks Justan Idiot

Trump seems to be having fun mocking Justin Trudeau. He's an easy target right now. The fake news is going off about Trump tweeting at 3:00 AM taking a jab at True Dope and everyone is like is he drinking? That's Trump for ya. He'll just throw something out there in the middle of the night off script.

The idea of Canada becoming the 51st State is a bit ridiculous but it's just a joke. They tried that in 1812 and we said no. The English said no, the French said no, the Mohawks and all the First Nations said no for a reason. In the US they didn't make treaties with their First Nations they shot them. After France sold the Americans Louisiana the French language was lost in the American Melting pot. I'll take my Canadian Mosaic thanks.

There are a lot of Liberal sh*t holes in the US I wouldn't want Canada to be like. He needs to fix his own backyard. Portland, Chicago, Northern California. Taxes and crime are pretty high there. Same with the big Apple. His own crib.

Canada has the same struggles the US has. Just because we support what Trump is doing doesn't mean we want to throw away our sovereignty and give it to the whack jobs that tried to imprison him. They also claim Trump is doing a victory lap for Canada's increased border security in response to his Tariffs.

We just have to remind him that the drugs are coming into Canada from the US not the other way around. All those migrants are coming into Canada from the US as well so maybe we should tariff Trump until he fixes that. Tariffs in a trade war go both ways so they do. If he wants his economy to prosper he needs to improve his exports. If he hikes tariffs on imports his exports will tank. That's life in the real world.

East Windsor home shot at by minibike rider

CBC is reporting that "Police are investigating after they say someone riding a pocket bike — or tiny motorcycle — in east Windsor, shot at a home around 4 a.m. on Dec. 16."

"It happened near a Jefferson Boulevard residence near Tecumseh Road East. According to authorities, multiple shots were fired into the home — and that the suspect fled westbound on Empress Street."

"No physical injuries were reported as a result of this incident," police said in a statement. "A preliminary investigation has determined that this was a targeted shooting."

Wow all these years the flat earthers have been trying to convince me the Shiners were trying to take over the world. I still don't buy it. Shooting at a house on a minibike is pretty funny. Somehow I don't think it's going to catch on.

Chrystia Freeland quits cabinet before announcing deficit

Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland announced her resignation from Justin Trudeau's cabinet on Monday, hours before she was scheduled to deliver the government's Fall Economic Statement showing a $61.9 billion deficit for 2023/24. AYFKM?

CTV is reporting that "The federal Liberals called an emergency caucus meeting Monday night, as Prime Minister Justin Trudeau faced renewed calls from some members of his party to resign."

"Liberal MPs from across the country convened in a room on Parliament Hill, as politicians and political observers absorbed the shockwaves of Chrystia Freeland's surprise resignation and release of a scathing letter to the prime minister."

$62 billion deficit for last year. That wasn't during Covid. That was last year. Chrystia Freeland and Justin Trudeua are maniacs. Don't let the circus side show distract anyone from that fact. $62 billion - that is organized crime.

Justin Trudeau wanted to replace her so he could blame the insane deficit on her just like he blamed the We scandal on Bill Morneau. It wasn't Bill Morneau's fake charity, it was Justin Trudeau's. This $62 billion one year deficit isn't Chrystia Freeland's, it's Justin Trudeau's. Where's the money for the gun grab prick? Best to leave that one alone. You're broke.

Government documents project Liberals' gun 'buyback' to cost nearly $2B, double minister's estimates

It would be interesting to know how much money is being given to migrants to not work. Allowing migrants into the country to work is great. Paying them not to work isn't. We need to stop doing that. Especially with money we don't have.

Martini Town: Christmas movie set

We went to Martini Town in Aldergrove last night. It was cute. It's a Christmas movie set out in the middle of nowhere filled with lights and music. A coworker said they say it's like walking around on a Hallmark movie set. I was like yeah, that's exactly what it was like. Last night was a full moon and you could see Jupiter and Mars beside it. It was nice.

You have to buy your tickets online in advance. You can't get them at the door. People also speak highly of Glow in Langley. I'm kind of done with Christmas. We'll have to do that next year along with the Winter Fair at the PNE. That one looks fun. They have ice skating and ice bumper cars.

Christmas in Vietnam and around the World

Someone I know visiting Vietnam recently noticed there was a large outdoor nativity scene in the City. A banned concept in Vancouver at LaFarge Lake. During Covid Vietnam had more freedom than we did. Isn't that ironic.

I get kind of irritated with the persistent drive to secularize Christmas and everything else in North America. By embracing holidays from other cultures they intentionally try to push Christmas aside. Erroneously claiming the term Merry Christmas is somehow offensive. That shows how far we've fallen from reality. I can say Happy Diwali, Happy Hanukkah and Ramadan Mubarak. That shows a respect for cultural diversity.

Christmas is a huge holiday celebrated all over the world. For some it's a religious holiday, for other's it's not. That's OK. Christmas can be whatever you want it to be.

This year I bought an inflatable nativity to go with our inflatable Santa. Christ's birth is a historical reality and how we celebrate and interpret that fact is entirely up to us. Pretending that he never existed is like claiming the world is flat. It denies reality.

Muslims see Jesus as a prophet and view Mary as one of the most important women in scriptures. Yet they don't worship him because they believe in one God just like we do. That's nothing to get all bent out of shape about.

Hinduism worship many different Gods. That aspect of their religion I personally feel uncomfortable with yet I do believe in the freedom of religion. The reason why the freedom of religion is so important is because that's the first thing they take away before they take away every other freedom we have until we own nothing and can do nothing when civil liberty is abolished.

Jews obviously don't believe Jesus is the Messiah Ben David. Yet they cannot deny the reality of his existence. The Jewish historian Josephus recorded that. None of us can deny that Jesus was a Jew and was of the house of David. Anti semitism among Christian extremists is somewhat conflicted. Jesus was a Jew and the Bible was written by Jews. Both the old and New Testament. Paul and the Apostles were Jews.

Yet as we've seen pride and corruption can enter anywhere. Netanyahu is a bad man. He is clearly not messianic. He is the opposite. Expansionism has nothing to do with Zionism.

Somehow I was recently put on a mail list for evangelical Christians who are on a mission to convert Mormons. I just shook my head. I've seen this all before. What a waste of a life. What a waste of a mission. Do something positive. Do something constructive. Live Christ's teachings don't distort them and abandon them. I don't like born again Christians.

For me that falls under religious extremism. They are very intolerant. It's like that old radio show the bible answer man. He was the most unchristian person I have ever heard. Everyone who doesn't believe his own very small minded false doctrine is of the devil. Everyone. Well good luck with that buddy.

I often talked about the spirit of the law not the letter of the law. I've previously spoken about religious intent. For me it all comes back to Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.

"And what is good, Phaedrus, And what is not good. Need we ask anyone to tell us these things?” No we do not.

Canadians busted at Australia and New Zealand Airports

The National Post is reporting that "A Canadian was arrested at an airport in Australia, Thursday, after 11 kilos of cocaine were allegedly found in his luggage after arriving on a flight into Sydney. The 38-year-old man’s luggage was selected for examination after disembarking a flight from the United States. An X-ray revealed anomalies in the bag." That's not very intelligent. Smuggling drugs in an airport is very high risk.

"The man, unidentified by authorities, as is their usual practice, was charged by Australian Federal Police (AFP) with importing a commercial quantity of a border-controlled drug. The offence carries a maximum sentence of life imprisonment." Life?!

City News is reporting that "New Zealand customs agents arrested a woman flying out of Vancouver this weekend after allegedly discovering she was carrying more than 10 kilograms of illicit drugs (crystal meth) disguised as Christmas gifts."

Meanwhile back on the ranch, My Mountain View Now is reporting that "This month RCMP have been investigating drug trafficking in and around the community of Drumheller, Alberta. A man and a woman were arrested following a traffic stop at the Shell Gas Station just after 10:20pm on Wednesday (Dec 11th)."

"Mounties say a subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in quantities of Fentanyl, methamphetamine, Canadian currency, and other drug trafficking evidence being discovered."

"The 37-year-old woman from Hanna (Crystal Luider) and the 51-year-old man from Wheatland County (Shane Pentelescu) jointly face charges including possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking."

"RCMP are continuing to investigate this matter and they are issuing a warning to the public that the seized Fentanyl, in this case, was in the shape of a heart. This is very concerning, as it may make it more appealing to children who may think it is candy. Please speak to your children about this danger.”

Spending Christmas in jail is not a wise career choice.

UK bans Puberty blockers for minors

The Guardian is reporting that "Puberty blockers for under-18s with gender dysphoria will be banned indefinitely across the UK except for use in clinical trials, Labour has announced."

"Wes Streeting, the health secretary, said that after receiving advice from medical experts, he would make existing emergency measures banning the sale and supply of puberty blockers indefinite." That is in the child's best interest.

Canada Post Strike Update: Labor Minister makes order

Update: CBC is reporting that "Labour Minister Steven MacKinnon is sending the labour dispute between Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) to the Canada Industrial Relations Board. MacKinnon said Friday that if the board determines negotiations between the parties are at an impasse, it has been directed to order striking CUPW members back to work under the existing collective agreement until May 22, 2025." That is wise.

CBC is reporting that "During question period, Opposition Leader Pierre Poilievre said that Canadians are suffering due to the postal strike and called on Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to bring the union and Canada Post together to end the almost four-week-old strike. Trudeau acknowledged that small businesses and Canadians in rural areas are hurting but said that the best deals happen at the bargaining table."

Yes but Canada Post has zero incentive to bargain in good faith and that clearly shows how inept they are at business. Canada Post is in a deficit position and they have absolutely no regard for the millions of dollars in revenue they have lost over this Christmas season. Instead they are willing to sink the ship to justify their agenda.

Sadly making a profit isn't their agenda because if it was they'd be doing a much better job at it. This is a sad time for all postal workers because the future looks bleak. Their is no job security in a  company that can't make a profit. However, BC Transit and BC Hydro also run massive deficits but Canada Post wasn't always like this. They used to run profits and pay dividends to the government which increased tax revenue.

The argument for privatization rises when the corporation is running deficits. If the corporation runs deficits then privatizing it will relieve tax payers of that burden. When I was with Canada Post I opposed privatization because a public Post Office was making money and paying taxes. More taxes than a private company would.

That has changed and it's mostly because of miss management. As I said in my post about a solution to the dispute the problem is Admail. Changing mail volumes makes it no longer cost effective to force letter carriers to go to every single call on one third of their route every day with flyers. When letter carriers were going to almost every call with letter mail it made sense. Now it does not.

As Canada Post's number show, the number of calls is increasing while mail volume is decreasing. That means it's more spread out. There is a potential for profit because of the increased demand for parcel delivery.

As I said in my previous post, for 30 years we've been listening to corporate clowns claim that Admail is the future of the business. It is not. The deficits prove that. The future is in parcels, documents and postal banking. That's where the future is.

The sad reality is that Canada Post mismanagement will deliberately run deficits to justify privatization. If you want to privatize so bad get rid of Admail. In so doing you successfully privatized Admail. They won't do that because they want the lost revenue from Admail to justify sinking the entire ship.

Canada Post needs the ability to innovate but they also need the desire. If the corporation wants to turn all the foot walks into mobiles let them. Giving every carrier a vehicle and getting rid of Admail will lighten the load and streamline the process. If the Union opposes that because not everyone has drivers licenses, get over it. How can you be a courier without a license? If you don't have a license, work in the plant. Right now we need to save the profitability of Canada Post because without that there is no job security.
