Victor Orena, also known as Little Vic became the acting boss of the Colombo crime family of New York City. OK we've heard of the Five Crime Families of New York. So this guy is big.
Wikipedia says Orena, who rose through the ranks of the Colombo crime family "operated in Brooklyn, Long Island, and New Jersey primarily in labor racketeering. Orena was a well dressed individual who projected a traditional business image."
(Labor racketeering is the illegal use of union power for personal gain.) Some unions are tied to Communism while others are tied to Organized Crime.
"In 1985, Persico, (the boss of that crime family) and several leading Colombo figures were convicted of racketeering charges. In 1987, Persico and underboss Gennaro Langella were each convicted in the Mafia Commission Trial and sentenced to 100 years in prison."
100 years in prison. Oh yeah, let's become part of the United States. Ah no. Let's not. I know the Canadian judicial system needs work but that is no reason to go from one extreme to the other. Later on in the post I'll explain why the Rico charges in the US are a complete farce.
While Persico was in prison he "named Orena as acting boss until his son, Alphonse 'Little Allie Boy' Persico, could take over."
Oerena worked with Joh Gotti and the Gambino crime family so yeah, this guy was big. He is as Finain's inferno would describe it, a don. He kept order on the streets.
I have a huge respect for Curtis Sliwa and learned many important life lessons from him. Yet we're different. Curtis has a lot more balls than I do. I'll mock idiots but I won't mock dons. Curtis was shot up in a cab and seriously injured for making fun of John Gotti. That's something I just wouldn't do. Yet Curtis bears the scars of his valor. That was him, this is me.
The book Little Vic and the Great Mafia War talks all about the subsequent Mafia War that took place in New York after a 1991 assassination attempt on Victor Orena when he tried to take over the family permanently. That triggered the last and bloodiest mob war in New York's history. This book is about that.
Now I realize a lot of US States have the death penalty for murder while New York City does not. Hence the 100 year sentence. However, all these Rico charges have an agenda. The good guys are trying to stop organized crime but the CIA are the ones benefiting from it. They burn assets all the time.
Then when the time came they burned their asset and sent him to prison while the CIA and Mossad agents that put him there walked free and continued to do business without him.
The same thing with El Chapo. El Chapo had a .50 cal sniper rifle from Operation Fast and Furious. Fast and Furious was a CIA op ran by the ATF that would sell the Mexican cartel guns and bring back tons of cocaine into the US as payment. The news obsessed about arming the cartel but barely mentioned the tons of cocaine the CIA was bringing into the US.
Mistreating El Chapo in prison diminishes all of US. There's no honor or valor in doing that. It's just finding a scapegoat to blame for the CIA's misdeeds. The same with these Mafia sentences. The Mafia has worked with the CIA ever since Operation Mongoose in Cuba.
The CIA use the Hells Angels and the mafia to sell their drugs then systematically burn their assets and replace them with others to keep the money and the drugs flowing. Punitive jail sentences don't solve anything because the CIA is never sentenced. Now Trump wants to designate the Mexican cartel as a terrorist organization and bring in the military.
That's a farce. The US has a military base in Honduras with an airstrip. They bring in cocaine from Honduras in military planes. Designating the cartel as a terrorist organization is just a circus side show. Operation Watch Tower never stopped.
Penguin Random House sent me another book on organized crime to review. This one is called Red Hook Brooklyn Mafia, Ground Zero by Frank Dimatteo and Michael Benson.
Gangland wire did a podcast about it with the authors. It's about the rivalry between the Irish and Italian Mafia in Brooklyn. Apparently the Irish originally controlled the docks before the Italians took over. Around 1925 to 1927. Hells Kitchen over in Manhattan was also an Irish stronghold in New York.
The Mafia isn't my specialty as that usually implies the Italian mob and I'm from Vancouver. The Italian mob isn't here it's in Montreal and Ontario. That's not an invitation by the way. Commercial Drive is awesome. We don't need drama.
I normally cover gangs and drugs. Which the mob control over there but not here. Over there the mafia is also involved with illegal gambling and extortion.
Nobody cares about illegal gambling or contraband cigarettes. That doesn't destroy societies like crystal meth or fentanyl does. There's no such thing as illegal gambling just unlicensed. Under normal circumstances, the house wins. The odds are in their favor. Then there's rigged ones we saw when I was a kid.
Anyone who takes up gambling debts with the mob or the Hells Angels is very unwise. That takes risk taking to a whole new level. It's stupid. Don't do it. We don't have extortion in Vancouver. That's the government's job with their inflated taxes. Maybe Chinatown but I don't see that.
In Montreal it's common. The call it pisa. For us in Vancouver pizza is what we have with pepperoni and cheese. Evidently it's still a problem in Montreal. The mob says pay us protection money or your business might have an accident. It may get firebombed. Nobody respects that. Extortionists are simply parasites living off the work of others.
When I was in Belfast 1988/89 I came across a video of a journalist reporting on businesses being extorted by the IRA and the UDA. I sent it to a friend from High School who was originally from Belfast but when I got back they didn't want anything to do with that and threw it out. It was a really good documentary and I can't find it posted anywhere.
In Montreal, Vito Rizzuto negotiated a truce between the Irish mob, the Italian Mafia and the Hells Angels. Everybody made money for a time until the Rizzutos were betrayed by the Calabrians out of Hamilton and the Ontario village idiots.
Julian Sher put out a documentary about the Irish West End Gang in Montreal called King of Coke which was streamed on Crave.Julian Sher is credible. He also wrote Road to Hell.
I don't know anything about the West End Gang other than the fact that Larry Amero's coaccused Shane Baloney wasn't affiliated with them. Shane claimed his mother who was a waitress had an affair with a leader of the West End Gang.
Shane Maloney was from Burnaby not Montreal. People here who knew him talked about how he would rip people off. They called him wheels because he rolled around on a wheelchair after an accident. He mysteriously disappeared while on parole like Robby who escaped prison. Nothing shady about that. Much. Some of the fake news called him the leader of the West End Gang. That is ridiculous. He's simply an illegitimate son from Burnaby who would rip people off.
So Red Hook takes place in Brooklyn during the 1920's. The movie Gangs of New York with Leonardo DiCaprio and Cameron Diaz took place way back in 1863. It was a very wild time period so it was. So this is history.
Before I went to New York in the /80's, I watched the movie Warriors a million times. That's what I was expecting to see when I got there but by 1985, all those gangs in New York were gone. The NYPD lead a successful harassment campaign targeting anyone who wore colours in public.
That's why the Crips and Bloods in LA didn't wear patches, they just wore a red or blue banana in their back pocket. They just wore coloured clothing instead of gang logos. In LA the gangs exploded while they died down in New York.
When I was young I read the book Run Baby Run by Nicky Cruz. It was a sequel to the Cross and the Switchblade. That fed my fascination with the gangs of New York which lead me to join the Guardian Angels and eventually train and patrol with them.
OPB is reporting that "Washington state Costco workers who are part of the Teamsters union could go on strike as soon as this Saturday if a new contract is not reached."
"Union members have been in negotiations with the wholesale food distributor for weeks, but their current contract is set to expire on Friday at midnight. The contract affects 18,000 Costco union members nationwide." (Out of 219,000 - 8.2% of US employees, 0% of Canadian employees)
"Costo union members are seeking better wages, retirement and health care benefits, and seniority rights for workers when choosing shifts, vacations and bidding for jobs, among other things. Representatives for the Teamsters declined an interview request, citing ongoing contract negotiations."
Normally I'd just keep my mouth shut about this but since I have worked for Costco for coming up to 18 years and since I have a whole lot of experience with trade unions, I will speak on this matter. The primary thing I have to say is beware of pride.
Teamsters is a business Union. Better than most. They don't have a history of being greedy. They have a history of being sensible and effective.
Costco has a long-standing history of being a good employer that treats their employees well. I can attest to that fact. That's why my location isn't Unionized. We don't need one. We don't have a contract we have an agreement.
It's something the Company says it's willing to give their employees. At first I thought the idea was a bit humorous but I actually much prefer it. If you don't like the agreement work somewhere else. Costco matches other employers to maintain a reliable workforce. As an employee I really like not having to fight out a fair contract. I enjoy the stability of not having to worry about a strike. It's awesome. Take if from a long time employee of Canada Post.
Candace Post is a very different kind of employer. They're as*holes. As a result their Union, CUPW is extreme. That's why they can't get anything done. That's also why they aren't making a profit any more. Letter carriers would have been better off represented by LCUC or Teamsters. CUPW are dinosaurs who don't understand how outside delivery works and are unable to comprehend the word innovation.
In contrast Cosco is always innovating. They try new things to see what works best and take feedback from the employees if it isn't working. Canada Post would never take feedback from the employees. They always say it's my way or the highway even when the idea is completely impractical.
Greed applies to everyone - employers, unions and employees. A greedy corporation that exploits it's employees does not have a stable workforce. A greedy union becomes extinct. A greedy employee ends up unemployed. Geed applies to all of us.
This past week the management at my workplace has been posting results from our new proposed agreement. We will get a dollar an hour raise for each year. It's pretty obvious we got that because of the Teamster's threat of a strike. Thank you very much. Now is the time for the Teamsters to stay at the negotiating table and not call a full strike yet.
The CEO of Costco produced a video message talking about the strike and I thought he was very fair. Costco isn't going to lock out the Union. The Teamsters would be wise to stay at the table with the possibility of a strike in the balance.
Teamsters would be wise not to get greedy. If they do, they'll lose their Costco locals. When the contract expires, you can go on strike but you can also decertify a Union.
"In the United States, employees can decertify a union after a contract expires by filing a petition with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). The NLRB will then hold a secret ballot election to determine if the union should be removed as the bargaining representative." You only need 30% to sign a petition to trigger a decertify referendum. Then it's just 51% to decertify.
Teamsters would be wise to be reasonable. If they are, other industries would see that and call upon them to organize their workplaces. I'm not referring to other Costco locations. I'm referring to other workplaces where the employers are greedy and exploit their workers.
When I look at my wages and benefits in Canada, I have no need or desire to go on strike. Strike for what? More money? More holidays? Better benefits? I'm happy with all of the above. That means I have no need to join a Union and pay union dues. I have no desire to change my peaceful workplace into a place of conflict and strife. The Union mentality changes the atmosphere completely.
Instead of an employee agreement we have a list of demands. That concept in itself is abrasive. The thought of my workplace unionizing gave me a lot of anxiety. I don't want to do that again. Before I worked at Canada Post I did some construction. It was a large commercial company but it was nonunion. There was a Union shop down the street and because of that my employer came close to matching their wages and benefits. I benefited from the union down the street without belong to a union.
I realize the whole union debate can get very heated. People have a right to join a Union if they choose. However, we just saw what Amazon did to their Quebec workers who joined a Union. Amazon is not a good employer. Costco is.
So again, my advice to Teamsters is don't get greedy. It's not about you. If you can be reasonable and sensible, you will be able to expand into other industries. If you get too greedy you'll become extinct like many of the other dinosaur unions.
We also need to discuss Costco's profit margin. We used to have weekly meetings that would discuss sales as well as weight and cube of the trailers we ship. We always hear sales are up, sales are up which is a good thing. That means job security. There's no job security without profit.
There are three things to remember. Costco has a very narrow profit margin. Costco doesn't have much of a mark up on the products it sells. That's why they have to sell in volume. The reports we would hear always mentioned sales in the millions. When hearing that, people could easily think Costo's rich but that's not the case. Total sales is not total profit. Not at all.
Since Costco's mark up is so small, they need to sell a lot of product to make a profit. That's why Costco is so organized at turning over a large amount of product. If they don't, there's no profit. Sometimes we hear people say Costco is a big company, they can afford it. Costco is a big company. They employ a lot of people. A dollar an hour raise for all the employees company wide is a huge cost. In the real world there's a fine balance between labour costs and profit.
Shipping products is expensive. Sometimes products are damaged during shipping. Since there is such a small mark up on the products Costco sells, they have to sell a lot of product to pay for the product damaged in shipping. Shipping costs, labours costs, fuel cost, everything is in a very delicate balance.
A strike would instantly break that balance. If Costco loses money during a strike, then there's no money for raises. The managers at Canada Post are maniacs. They didn't care about a prolonged strike because they operate at a loss. A bigger loss just gives them an excuse to shut it down and let nonunion contractors do the work. Private sector companies can't operate that way. A prolonged strike would put them out of business.
Teamsters understand this. They are a private sector union. They are used to making a profit. The other thing we have to remember is that we're not brain surgeons here. We have to be honest with ourselves and ask how much profit does the work that I do make? If we're not productive then maybe we better just take what they give us before we destroy a good thing.
There's a lot of hate in the world right now. People are hurting and people have become hateful. They want to find someone to blame. Justin Trudeau and Jagmeet Singh want us to kick the cat. They want us to blame the grocery stores for the mass inflation. That's what they call displaced aggression.
The skyrocketing inflation was Justin Trudeau and Jagmeet Singh's fault. Their Fake environmentalism caused the fuel shortage and the rise in the price of gas at the pumps. That raises the cost of groceries and everything else we buy in stores because it all takes fuel to transport it to the store.
So the World Economic Forum puppets want us all to get mad at the Grocery store owners not them. It's just another circus side show. I did notice that while we were seeing skyrocketing inflation a flat of fresh chicken was up to $50. Now that same flat at Costco is back down to $25. All the meat and chicken at Costco is very fairly priced. Since Costco has passed those savings on to the members, that makes the profit margin tighter. Costco is a great company. Don't destroy it by getting greedy.
Worst case scenario rotating strikes one day at a time. One day at one unionized location, one day another unionized location. That way you send a message but aren't killing your members financially and you're not making it impossible for the company to give you a raise. You don't drain your strike fund either. The problem is they could close those locations.
Infotel is reporting that "A 55-year-old Kelowna man with no criminal record, a 36-year-old once jailed for domestic violence and a 34-year-old armed robber, have all been charged in relation to an armed kidnapping in Kelowna."
"Daniel Gilles Archambault, 36, David Apollo Sheremeto, 55, and Zackary Jard Purdy, 34, are all facing multiple charges for the armed kidnapping of Joshua Marsh."
"Precise details of what is alleged to have taken place aren't yet known, but the charges say the three men violently assaulted March and pointed handguns at him while kidnapping him."
Penguin Random House just sent me another book on organized crime to review and I still haven't reviewed the last one they sent so I better get on that.
However, before I do, I just want to summarize the extremism on both sides we've seen before I move on.
As I keep repeating Trump has done some awesome things but he has also done some crazy things and we need to recognize that. As Joel Skousen pointed out, historically Trump was never a Conservative. He was a businessman with friends like Hillary Clinton which as we all saw went bad.
I have referred to the changing political tide to a pendulum on a clock that swings back and forth from left to right. Extreme left and extreme right are the same.
Conservative really means moderate. To dress conservatively would mean to dress modestly. So the real definition of conservative is one who avoids extremism.
This last political cycle has been extreme. The left has been so far left and the right has been so far right, they're both like a Miley Cyrus wrecking ball video. Trump is riding that wrecking ball right into the realms of intergalactic space.
Invading Greenland and insisting Canada become a State is mentally deranged and the right wing podcasters who can't see that are part of a cult. The left used to say MAGA was a cult and I rejected that. However, if you can't admit that Trump's threat to use military force to take Greenland or blackmail Canada into becoming a state is crazy, then you're part of a cult. There's no free thinking in it. We all saw the left was a cult.
It was blind and extreme. So today's analogy portrays the left wing extremists and the right wing extremists as two wrecking balls both working for the WEF to destroy our society so they can create order amidst the chaos. Their order with their rules which doesn't include civil liberty or property rights.
Everyone is talking about Canada's response to Trump's tariffs. My response is this: no response. Start trading with other countries instead. Justin Trudeau and Doug Ford have lost their mind. They're still pushing the WEF Agenda of creating an energy crisis to cause mass inflation.
Mark Carney is another WEF zombie. He's more shrewd than Chrystia Freeland but he has the same agenda. Doug Ford says Alberta should put Canada first and consider a ban on Alberta oil to the US in response to Trump's tariffs. That is criminally insane. First, it punishes us not them by reducing our revenue. Second it will bring BC to a grinding halt with empty grocery stores and a national emergency like we have never seen.
BC sends unrefined Alberta oil to the US and buys refined oil back from the US. If we stop sending the US refined Alberta oil, BC is completely cut off. There's no gas at the pumps and no food in the grocery stores. That would be a very bad idea. We need to build a refinery in BC. That's obvious.
As I previously said Canada putting tariffs on US food imports in retaliation to Trump's tariffs would be a very bad idea. It would punish Canadian consumers by raising the price of food more than it already is and it would punish American farmers which is exactly what the WEF wants. The WEF attacks farming to create world food shortages.
We could put tariffs on American cars, trucks, boats and motorcycles. That would make America's economy suffer. But why would we want to do that? We're mad at Trump not them. So my advice is do nothing. Just trade with other countries instead and weather the storm. Four years and he's out.
Balancing the extremes between the left and right is called equilibrium. Also known as enlightenment. The WEF push the extremes to justify their agenda. Don't be fooled by the circus.
This is Sad 💔 Florida man who voted for Trump wants to work something out with Donald Trump after ICE snatched up his wife & deported her back to Venezuela while she was in the process of getting her papers done. "Let's work something out, please man let me keep my wife, she… pic.twitter.com/XDOECHRvks
This is a cautionary tale. Yesterday my subscription feed on YouTube was full of podcasters trashing Selena Gomez for posting a video crying about deportations. This is getting a little bit concerning. The narrative claims that ICE is going after rapists and gang members who are in the country illegally.
Are you telling me that up until now if an illegal alien was convicted of rape or some other serious crime they weren't deported? I find that hard to believe. Even under Biden I read stories of illegal aliens getting deported for murder only to come back into the country illegally. The problem was the border.
Securing the border is one thing, hunting down every illegal alien working to provide for their family is another. First up the Hodge Twins mock Selena Gomez for crying over rapists and gang members. Hold on a second. We don't know who she's crying for. It might be someone she knows. A father taken away from his children who now have nothing to eat.
NBC is reporting that "Immigration authorities made close to 1,200 arrests in just one day, and nearly half of those detained don't have criminal records, according to a senior Trump administration official." That concerns me.
So they're not all rapists and gang members. 6AK_TV reposted this video on X about a Florida man who voted for Trump. His wife was snatched by ICE along with two construction workers.
His wife had a court date set for her immigration papers. Now she can't attend the hearing. Remember all those Latinos for Trump Town Halls? Hard working Latinos who hoped for a better economy under Trump. They voted for him.
There are a lot of Latinos in LA who work in construction for very low wages. They also pick fruit. They take the jobs no one else wants. So now the cost of building housing is going to go up and the price of California fruit is going to go up.
We are witnessing more extremism from one extreme to the other. Wide open borders letting people waltz right in without criminal record checks demanding free food and free housing. Then we have the other extreme. Hunting down all illegals working under the table to feed their family.
I do not want Canada to be like that. America is so extreme. Why don't we first secure the border and stop letting everyone waltz right in without a criminal record check.
That's the first thing. The next thing is if an illegal alien is convicted of a serious crime, deport them. If they have no criminal record leave them alone. This drive is going to increase human trafficking. Do what I say or I'll report you to ice.
More women will be forced into prostitution because of this decisions. More workers will be exploited because of this decisions. More women will be assaulted and raped and unable to go to the police because of this decision. This decision diminishes all of us.
This whole idea of ICE Agents kicking in people's doors looking for illegal aliens concerns me. It sounds an awful lot like Gestapo to me. First they come for the illegal aliens. Then they come for your illegal guns. Then they come for the Muslims. Then the Jews, then the Christians and there you have it - a Marxist Leninist Atheist sate.
The Constitution and the Canadian Charter of Rights protects people from unnecessary searches and seizures. It also gives them the right to due process. All these Conservative podcasters are mocking Selina Gomez and they're starting to get hateful. I don't want anything to do with that.
As I said in my post about Trump's interim report card. He has done some really good things but he has also said some really crazy things. Refusing to admit that is cult like. For example, Glen Beck did a video explaining why Trump wants Greenland. That is mentally deranged. How is that any different from how China wants Taiwan? It's not. Defending that insane threat is shameful. No one is perfect. We have to be able to debate issues without a blind cult like devotion to delusions.
Right now they say they're going after criminals but they're not. They admit half the people they arrested had no criminal record. Likewise they say they're going after MS-13 members 14-17. 14-17 year olds aren't in elementary school. They are using that false narrative to justify going after kids. I do not support that. I don't support any of this. Secure the border and if they commit a violent crime deport them then. That is all. Don't waste money on hunting down families with no criminal record.
I know it's a bit early for an interim report card but since things are moving at a fast and furious pace, we need to stop and analyze what he has done right and what he has done wrong.
Pardoning the J6ers: A+ The punitive way they were denied the right to a fair trial was shameful. Denying them their Constitutional rights because they were deemed terrorists was a sleazy move. History has recorded that.
Declassifying the JFK, RFK, and MLK Jr. files: A The CIA will never release them but it's a step in the right direction.
Helping negotiate a cease fire in Gaza: A+
Promoting and end to the war in the Ukraine: A+
Threatening a military invasion of Greenland: F
Sh*ting on Canada your neighbor and Ally: F-
Addressing the WEF like they matter: F
Promoting Bill Gates' Stargate: F
What we are witnessing is a whole lot of extremism right out of the gate. Extreme good and extreme evil. I think the biggest problem we are witnessing is the defiant abuse of power. The American people elected a whole lot of representatives and none of them are being consulted on any of these rash moves.
Trashing Justin Trudeau was funny but trashing Canada is not. It's rude and offensive. Threatening us with tariffs if we don't become a state is mentally deranged. Threatening the use of military force to take Greenland is mentally deranged.
When Trump was president he joked about wanting to buy Greenland. Denmark said sorry, it's not for sale. That was the end of it. Now all of a sudden he won't let it go. This is when he needs to stop talking because instead of sounding like a patriot he is sounding like a raging lunatic.
The same with Canada becoming a state. Once is funny, twice is not. Three times is insane. Then he starts pissing on the world threatening to tariff everyone if they don't start investing in America. Investing in America? How about boycotting America.
Trump says he doesn't need Canada. OK I guess he doesn't need us to buy your sh*t then. I guess you don't need us to buy your cars, trucks, boats and motorcycles. I guess no one in the world does because Trump doesn't need anyone.
I have to admit, I didn't see this coming. One of the reasons Trump had so many haters before is because they saw him as a loose cannon. Right now his erratic behavior is validating all those previous concerns. Now we're all questioning as to whether or not this guy should have the nuclear codes.
Don't get me wrong, Biden was bad and so was Kamala but they were just puppets for a greater evil. Breaking that grip was good. However, Trumps support for Bill Gates and the WEF is a slap in the face of every patriot that voted for him.
This is why I stressed caution. Blind faith in anyone is blind. Everyone needs to be accountable. That's why we have the Constitution. To keep elected officials accountable to the people who elected them. Trump's recent demand that Egypt and Jordan taking millions of Palestinian refugees from Gaza is straight out of the Twilight Zone.
October 7th was an orchestrated event. It could not have happened unless Netanyahu made it possible. Mosaad created Hamas to push Fatah out of Gaza after the PLO agreed to a ceasefire. They assassinated Yitzhak Rabin to pave the way for Netanyahu's defiant violation of the commandments in his Greater Israel expanded borders. That is an abomination.
Just like sexually assaulting prisoners is. Just like killing civilians and children with drones after bombing a safe zone was. Just like assassinating aid workers was.
Now Trump wants to endorse all that by sending all the residents of Gaza to Egypt and Jordan so his son in law can sell beach front stolen property in Gaza. That is an abomination.
It's a horrible thing to say and it's an even more horrible thing to do. This life is a test. They say circumstances don't make the man they reveal him to himself and to the rest of the world.
Saying such a horrible thing reveals Trump's despicable character. Trump has become an arrogant bully. God did not save his life for that. Trump has been swept away by his pride.
"We have learned by sad experience that it is the nature and disposition of almost all men, as soon as they get a little authority, as they suppose, they will immediately begin to exercise unrighteous dominion. Hence many are called, but few are chosen." Donald Trump failed his test.
History will not remember him as a patriot, history will remember him as a lunatic. There's a religious artist that paints all these magnificent portraits of Trump as a noble figure. If I had purchased one of those portraits before he lost his mind, I would now throw it in the garbage. His nobility has been lost and all that remains is an arrogant bully. History has recorded that.
A lot of people have been talking about Brett Cooper's departure from the Daily Wire. Without getting into the drama, I see she's starting her own show and it premiers January 30th 2025. Brett Cooper is unwritten.
The Communist News network is reporting that "California considers letting wildfire victims sue oil companies for damages" because of climate change." That is mentally deranged.
When an arsonist starts a fire that has nothing to do with climate change. When the criminally insane governor diverts water away from LA based on a lie, that's his fault not the oil companies. In reality the victims of the fire have the right to sue the governor for diverting the water.
