Did Robert Pickton have Accomplices?

I was shocked to read the article in today's Vancouver Province about the possibility of Robert Pickton having accomplices. It appears to be a National Post article that was also published in the Vancouver Sun. Finally the media steps up to the plate. Robert Pickton was convicted of six counts of murder and faces another possible 20 charges if those don't stick.
.

Yet the police have found the remains and DNA of more than 60 women on the farm. Do I believe Robert Pickton murdered all 60? No I do not. Do I believe Robert Pickton was the criminal mastermind and his brother Dave had no idea what was going on? No I do not.

The problems is, these kind of trials are very expensive. The police want to have a conviction. The disturbing part of the case is that the crown admits that there is considerable and obvious evidence that Pickton may not have acted alone but if he was the person in charge and if the others were acting in concert with him, he could still be convicted. I agree with that argument. I just don't think he was the one in charge.

Court testimony describes Robert as mentally diminished and deferred questions to his brother Dave who ran the farm and had been previously convicted of sexual assault on that same farm.
.
I find it disturbing to hear a police officer on cross examination after admitting they did find pills and bungee cord in Dave's room after receiving another report of another sexual assault by him the police officer said just because someone commits sexual assault, that does not necessarily make him a murderer. No, but why didn't the second charge of sexual assault proceed against him?

It is not my quest to assist the defense in helping their client get away with murder. I believe Robert Pickton's conviction should be upheld. My concern is pursuing justice for the more than 54 other women found on the farm. What about them?

The article in the Province concludes with a very profound statement by the defense. "If the Crown believes there is evidence that others were involved, you would think that an investigation would proceed with vigor. Instead, one is left wondering."
.
Women still go missing in East Vancouver. One is also left wondering about the fact that Vancouver has become a hub for international human trafficking. Where do all those women go after their id is incinerated?

Surrey meth cook and the East Vancouver House of Horrors

We've all heard about the Picton Farm and we've all heard about the Surrey House of Horrors, but have we heard about the East Vancouver House of Horrors? Given the number of missing women from the Downtown East side, I'm sure there are many.

Ryan is a person of interest. He was a long time meth cook in prison for cooking meth for the Hells Angels. Only the court put a ban on the name of the Hells Angel he was cooking the meth for. However, in another trial Michael Plante testified that he got the kilo of meth for Lising from his associate, who was making and selling meth along with East Van Hells Angel John Punko.

Plante testified that he told Ryan not to tell Punko that the meth was for Lising because Punko didn't want Ryan dealing with any other Hells Angel.

I am told the fenced house in this photo used to be a crack house run by the Hells Angels. That was before the fence was put up. It looks like things in that neighbourhood have changed and things have been cleaned up after the former tenants moved.

However, witnesses claim what went on in this crack house rivaled what went on in the Surrey House of Horrors where a murdered sex trade workers DNA was found as well as on the Picton farm.

One witness claims the name of the guy living in the basement suite who ran the crack house was a skin head named Ryan. They also claim that Ryan looked a lot like the Hells Angel meth cook.

Interesting to note that the DNA of a stripper from the Orange No 5 named Stephanie Lange was found at the Picton farm. It has been said that the Orange No 5 is owned and run by the Hells Angels.

Montreal Shooting and Vito Rizzuto

Well I guess no gangsters out blog would be complete with out mentioning Vito Rizzuto. CBC reports that a fatal shooting in Montreal today could well be a revenge killing for the death of Vito Rizzuto's son Nick.

OK, I know nothing about the mob in Montreal or Toronto but a few news articles when viewed together make for an interesting read. They refer to Vito Rizzuto as the Teflon Don of Canada. Implying that he is involved with organized crime but has evaded prosecution for it. Yet other reports state he's in prison in the States. CBC calls him the Montreal Mafia Kingpin. The recent cafe firebombings in Montreal show extortion is alive and well in Canada.

I'm going to highlight three threads connected to Vito. The first is Alfonso Gagliano. Wikipedia claims that the Rizzutos are soldiers for the Bonnanno crime family in New York. They claim laws enforcement stated the Rizzutos are major drug traffickers importing and distributing tons of heroine and cocaine and profit greatly from loansharking and illegal gambling. Wikipedia also claims Rizzuto worked closely with the Sicilian Cuntrera-Caruana mafia clan who are major drug importers led in Canada by Alfonso Caruana.

Alfonso Gagliano was the book keeper for Alfonso Caruana's cousin Agostino Cuntrera. Gagliano was from the same small village in Sicily as the Cuntrera-Caruana mafia clan is from.

The New York Times reported that FBI informant Frank Lino claimed he was introduced to Gagliano at a mafia meeting in Montreal and was told Gagliano was a Canadian politician and made member of the mafia in Montreal connected to the Bonno and the Gambino crime families in New York. Gagliano denied it and sued the Canadian government for defamation and lost.

The second thread is Peter Scarcella in Toronto. He's another Sicilian mafioso who got his start driving the car for mafia leader Paul Volpe who was found dead in the trunk of his car. Scarcella was the last person to see Volpe alive. Since then, Scarcella has aligned himself with Vito Rizzuto in Montreal.

The third thread is Hells Angel Paris Christoforou. He was with Scarcella when they shot up a sandwich shop in Toronto and an innocent mother was hit and paralyzed. They were targeting mafia rival Mike Modica.

It's all kind of confusing but we can clearly see three common threads in this organized drug ring. Numerous reports about the Hells Angels being tied to the mafia in Montreal don't help either.

Please note that these gangsters are white despite the fact that one of the shooters in today's hit in Montreal was wearing a fake dreadlock wig so please stop the ridiculous racist remarks. Sending these guys back to Italy might help.

Marc Emery's unlikely Political Alliance

Well this is interesting. We all know of Marc Emery. He's a local pot activist that is waiting to be extradited to the U.S. for selling pot seeds over the Internet. Almost as bad as jay walking in public. Depending upon the volume of course.

Here's the twist: three MPs have submitted a petition to Parliament asking the Justice Minister not to sign Emery's extradition papers. One of the MPs is Libby Davies from the NDP. No surprise there. Then there's Ujall Dosanjh from the Federal Liberals. No big surprise there. The Liberals have been watering down our judicial system for generations and many of them support the legalization of marijuana but I do like Dosanjh.

The surprise is that the third MP is a Conservative - Scott Reid. Well, well, well a divided caucus. Wasn't Harper trying to introduce minimum sentences for the mere possession of marijuana? Now we have one of his MPs supporting a petition not to sign Emery's extradition orders. The Conservatives can't afford to lose any rogue caucus members in a minority government. Every vote counts. Chuck Cadman showed us that.

Here's my beef. I don't support the legalization of marijuana but recognize that there is a big difference between pot and crack. This difference needs to be entrenched in the laws. We have been lobbying the government for years to introduce mandatory minimum sentences for violent crime. The key word there is violent. Cases like the Michael Levy assault when murder or swarmings and senseless beatings are committed. We need mandatory minimum sentences for those crimes. Not for the possession of marijuana.

We also need mandatory minimum sentences for trafficking crack, meth, GBH and cocaine. Minimum sentences even if they are caught selling small quantities because dealers use runners to avoid getting caught with a large amount of drugs at one time.

My beef is this. We need to proceed with anti gang legislation and we need Harper to take the amendment to bill C-15 so that it may pass and introduce mandatory minimum sentences for selling hard drugs not for using them or for possession of pot. We need to crack down on the dealers of hard drugs not addicts. That does not mean taking the other extreme and buying addicts drugs either.

Another ton of cocaine seized, no criminal organization charged

Well here we have it. The police obviously get a tip about a boat load of cocaine in Port Hardy. They broadcast the seizure and low and behold it has a ton of cocaine on board. Two people are charged but no link to any criminal organization is made.

This is the second largest cocaine seizure in the area. The largest was two and a half tons of cocaine for the Hells Angels on the Western Wind in 2001. Richard Barszczewski was the Peter Leask of the day who vetoed that conviction. Tricky Dickey should have been fired, he shouldn't have been given a promotion.

So here once again he have a huge cocaine seizure but no link to any criminal organization. Is Tricky Dickey still in charge? Please advise.

Punko and Pottsie deal Drugs

Peter Leask may well be an idiot, but the latest court documentation of East Vancouver Hells Angels Potts and Punko continue to show how the Hells Angels are a criminal organization in Canada who's primary business is selling drugs.

Isn't it pitiful when bullies play the victim? If police informant Michael Plante hadn't supplied them with the meth lab they would have hired someone else to do it.
.
Kerry Ryan Renaud was a long time meth producer in Surrey. Prosecution alleged he was cooking meth for the Hells Angels but the judge put a publication ban on the name of the Hells Angel he was cooking the meth for. Now we find out he was tied to Potts and Punko.
.
However, if police put more meth on the street to convict anyone, that is wrong. We need to get the crack and meth off the streets. I am glad to hear the crown is appealing the decision. Alcantara got 14 years in Alberta.

Hells Angels Niagara Falls

Indeed it has been a tough year for the Hells Angels in Niagara. Their chapter leader, Gerard Ward also known as Skinny plead guilty to trafficking cocaine and possessing the proceeds of crime and their clubhouse was seized.

Ward was caught along with five other Hells Angel members and associates delivering four kilograms of cocaine to a former member of the Oshawa chapter who became a police agent. Ward was 61 at the time.

But that's not all. Constable Dean Rudge was charged with leaking confidential documents that were found in the possession of the Hells Angels. Again.

Nicola Nero of Niagara Falls is serving nine years for selling cocaine to a police informant while on bail for stealing $2.7 million from an armoured car in 2003.

Zavisa Drecic, a former member of the Niagara chapter transferred to the Woodbridge chapter was sentenced to 8 years. He was trafficking more date rape drug. How noble. These guys are old. Trafficking date rape drug? This isn't the Niagara chapter any more. Now it's the Viagra chapter. Old men dealing drugs. Shame on you.

Not only was Drecic caught trafficking GHB, he was also caught selling a kilo of cocaine and a kilo of ephedrine in 2006 and another kilo of cocaine in 2007.

Kevin Skuta of Welland was sentenced to five years for trafficking a kilo of cocaine and more than 100 litres of date rape drug GHB. Don't forget, cry baby in court, Mark Figuereo was caught trafficking GHB in Toronto as was Vince Sanssalone in Haney. Mark brought his wife, sister and niece with him to court and cried when they sentenced him to six years in prison.

Is there anyone in the Viagra chapter that isn't a drug dealer? Please advise.

Hells Angels lose Criminal Organization Appeal

Two Hells Angels from Ontario had their appeal of the courts criminal organization status dismissed by the Supreme Court of Canada.

Freedom of association does not apply to criminal organizations. The Hells Angels sell drugs as an organization. This is a clear example of how out of touch the B.C. Judges are and how Peter Leask should be hanged for treason. The Canadian jurisprudence has now been established by the highest court of the country.
.
So what is it called when the judges in B.C. rule differently than the judges in Ontario on the same federal law? What is it called when the judges in B.C. rule differently than the Supreme Court of Canada? I call it treason.

B.C. Injustice extends to White Collar Crime

We all know the Canadian criminal code has a very bad reputation for being a joke and that the Judges in B.C. are known for extending that bad joke to the extreme with bizarre decisions that are not consistent with how the other provinces interpret the same federal laws.

The Ian Thow case is another example but deals with white collar crime:
http://www.vancouversun.com/business/Thow+pleads+guilty+offers+apology/2630959/story.html

Here's a guy who pleads guilty to 20 cases of fraud and admits to conning clients out of $10 million. (The initial charge was more like $32 million) The guy was an investment advisor and advised clients to buy stock that didn't exist to fund his extravagant lifestyle. He robbed people of their life's savings to waste on decadence. That was cold hearted and malicious.

The crown and defense lawyers recommend a 7 year sentence. Since he's been in custody for a year he'd be given two for one credit for that pretrial time served. I thought they got rid of that. Anyways, the Vancouver Sun claims that parole is routinely given for white collar crime after one third of the sentence is served.

That means he could be out on the street in about four months which would mean he would have served 14 months for serious fraud in the millions that ruined peoples lives for his own personal extravagance. If that is not treason, I don't know what is.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Update: Crown recommends 7 years, Court orders 9.

Well this is a small step forward but it's still a very small step. The underlining problems still exist. Why did the crown recommend 7 years when the maximum was raised to 14? Compared to what Throw did, what kind of fraud would qualify someone for 14 years? That's hard to imagine. http://www.vancouversun.com/Investment+guru+Thow+sentenced+nine+years+multimillion+dollar+fraud/2641705/story.html

Why did he get two for one credit for the year served when two for one credit was supposed to have been done away with? Will he get instant parole after serving one third of his sentence like most others do for white collar crime?

That remains to be the underlining problem. Parole after one third of the sentence is served. What this guy did was horrible. He needs to be held accountable. So here's the math. If the one third factor is true, then one third of 9 years is 3 years. Less two for one credit for the first year leaves one year left to serve for a total of two years served for serious fraud in the millions destroying many peoples lives. So he getting nine years instead of seven means he serves 2 years instead of 14 months. Is that justice?

Two RCMP officers investigated for sexual assault

I missed this one. CTV is reporting that two out of town RCMP officers have been charged with sexual assault: http://www.ctvbc.ctv.ca/servlet/an/local/CTVNews/20100220/bc_olympics_sex_assault_investigations_100219/20100220?hub=BritishColumbia

The RCMP admit 11 security forces here for the Olympics have been sent home but refuse to say why or expand upon what they did other than the two who were charged with shoplifting. Although 11 people getting sent home out of 10,000 is indeed a small number, RCMP officers committing sexual assault is a serious matter.
Just as it is for a Military leader to be charged with sexual assault and murder: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,585225,00.html

Without question the vast majority of law enforcement and military personnel are top notch. Yet when these horrific violations of public trust occur, we need to be vigilant in fulfilling our constitutional obligations to law and order.

Loving Dad shot and killed waiting trial for home invasion

All is quiet on the Western Front. Relatively speaking of course. A guy was shot dead in Prince George the other day. Nathan Alcide Marshall had appeared in court three days before he was murdered on home invasion charges: http://www.theprovince.com/news/Slain+father+faced+charges+home+invasion/2593285/story.html
.
It reminds me of how that Independent Soldier who was shot and killed was billed as a loving father when he had cocaine and guns in the same apartment as his child. Getting someone pregnant doesn't automatically make you a person of character. How you handle that stewardship does. I blotted out the eyes and face of his child in this photo the family gave to the media.

The child is innocent. Like the child who witnessed his mother shot to death in the same car he was in. The photo gives the impression of good covered in evil. Give the kid a chance and stop exploiting children in your PR campaign to sell drugs.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Now, on to the root of the problem. If this guy was involved with drugs in Prince George, then he was involved with the Hells Angels. The police and the media claim that no one can sell drugs in Prince George without the Hells Angels permission. We are told that the Renegades are a puppet club for the Hells Angels in PG that sell drugs and the Crew is another group affiliated with the Renegades and the Hells Angels that sell crack in Prince George.

Of late I am told that several members of the Crew in PG are crossing over to the Independent Soldiers in PG who are also another puppet club for the Hells Angels after most of the original IS leadership were murdered.

This news article http://www.vancouverite.com/2010/02/20/man-found-dead-two-hours-after-rcmp-got-shots-fired-call/ claims that he was revered by many as a loving father. Drug addict, home invasion, loving father. I'm having difficulty with the math. I'm not saying there wasn't good in him. Quite the contrary. Everyone has good in them. He appears to be a good guy who has been struggling with a few demons of his own.

Lets take the alcohol and drug addiction. Anyone can fall to those. Yet when those addictions arise, they become more important than anything else including family, friends and moral decency. Addictions can take over people and change them. That may not be the real person but real people have to live with the actions of addicts including the people who suffered the home invasion which he participated in.

This brings us back to the double edged sword. People who sell drugs and profit from the sale of drugs, like the Hells Angels in Prince George are the ones ultimately responsible for the crime and violence those drugs bring. Selling drugs is not noble and the Hells Angels sell drugs. The sale of drugs has brought violence to our community and the Hells Angels are not innocent of the violence as they erroneously claim.

The news article said the guy had time to think in prison and claims he realized he didn't love that life any more. So if that hearsay quote is true, it claims he admits at one time he loved that life - drugs, alcohol and home invasion. So he has an Epiphany and wants to change his life around and gets shot down before he gets the chance. Bad luck or were there more demons involved?

What is the Hells Angels biggest fear when a co accused is arrested? That they will have a change of heart and cut a deal to get less time served. This might not be the case here because time served for a first offense would not have been significant but the article claims he owed money.

OK let's do the math. He got involved with the wrong crowd in Prince George. He became addicted to drugs and owned people money. That is why he couldn't leave Prince George - he had drug debts. Who did he owe the money to? Could it have been anyone but the Hells Angels since they control the drug trade there?

We have read how the Hells Angels get violent if you owe them money for drugs. We have read about how they cut off someones finger for a $170 drug debt in Prince George: http://www.canada.com/vancouversun/news/story.html?id=142bb2e6-b63f-4a1a-8b83-f0a349687af4

Scott Payne was an enforcer for the Crew who ultimately worked for the Hells Angels. He cut off a crack addicts finger for a $170.00 drug debt. Joshua Hedrick was once a member of the Crew in Prince George. He was picked up by the police with this same Scott Payne. Joshua ended up dead floating down the Fraser River: http://www.vancouversun.com/news/found+Fraser+River+part+Prince+George+gang/1952430/story.html
Was Joshua trying to turn his life around too? Did he have any drug debts in Prince George? What about the woman who was brutally sexually assaulted by someone who claimed her husband owed the Hells Angels money: http://www.theprovince.com/Five+years+jail+vicious+assault+prostitute+Maple+Ridge/2353301/story.html

If the family and friends of Nathan Marshall want to do their friend any justice, they will come clean and name the people he owed the money to and expose the real demons that enslaved him and finally robbed his children of a father. Call the Prince George Crimestoppers at: 1 800 222-TIPS http://www.pgcrimestoppers.bc.ca/about-us/contact-us.html
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Indeed there was a good side to Nathan: http://gangstersout.blogspot.com/2010/02/nathan-marshall-prince-george.html We owe it to him to let the world know who he owed money to and why.

Crown Appeals Donald Gardiner Decision

Clearly Gardiner joins the ranks of Peter Leask and the snowflake Katherine Bruce for wacky decisions abusing the Charter of Rights making the judicial system in B.C. a bad cartoon of ineptness.
.
As we showcase to the world how handing out free crack pipes in East Vancouver isn't working let's also show the world how this judicial vacuum has indeed created a constitutional crisis in Canada as described by Steve Brown: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJTEsbC-ut0
.
No one wants Canada to turn into a police state but right now we live with the other extreme. Criminals have guns but the law biding public don't and we are enablers for the gang war. It is a violation of public safety to let known gang members roams the streets with guns and not subject them to random searches.
.
If a convicted gang member receives a prohibition from owning or possessing a firearm, then we need to follow up to make sure that term is enforced otherwise it's just another useless piece of paper. Waking them up in the middle of the night repeatedly could be deemed harassment. However, when these known gang members go out in public, they and their vehicles should be subject to random searches to protect public safety and the Charter rights of the general public.

Police Misconduct

The VPD recently received some very bad press over an incident where someone was badly beaten over a case of mistaken identity. http://www.canada.com/news/Vancouver+police+innocent+beaten+cops+didn+resist+arrest/2470061/story.html

The majority of police out there are good and risk their lives to promote public peace and public safety. However, as one witness described it, bad apples exist in any company. The only difference is that in a democratic society we hear about the misconduct while in other places it happens but we never hear about it.

Recently, two Vancouver Police officers responded to a call of domestic abuse. They were told a husband was beating his wife. No one likes a wife beater. They responded to the call, woke the guy out of bed and beat him to a pulp. Only they got the wrong address and beat up the wrong guy. Now he's suing: http://news.ca.msn.com/top-stories/cbc-article.aspx?cp-documentid=23355467

There were a few mistakes made. Obviously the most blatant mistake is the mistaken identity. The brutality is the other. Even if the guy was accused of beating his wife, he deserves a fair trial. For example, in 80% of custody disputes there are false allegations of abuse. That in no way minimizes the fact that spousal abuse is heinous and is far too common in our society.

If the police caught him in the act and had to pull the guy off beating his wife, one could understand a certain amount of physical force being used to stop the attack. Human nature would cut some leeway if they gave him a few digs and maybe cracked a rib to leave a lasting impression. But give him the boots and cave in his eye? That was clearly excessive.

Covering such an act up is also wrong. Loyalty does not mean hiding abusive or illegal activity. Loyalty means protecting the public peace and safety by exposing and opposing all abusive violence.

Another disturbing case is where three off duty police officers robbed and beat an Indo Canadian newspaper delivery driver: http://www.vancouversun.com/sports/West+police+officer+pleads+guilty+assaulting+newspaper+delivery/1801491/story.html

The first case was mistaken identity. The second case was bizarre and unprovoked. Even the famous taser incident at the Airport with the RCMP may have been excessive and an over reaction given the situation but the second case is most heinous and it appears that only one officer involved has been charged not three.
.
Nevertheless, I want to be very clear that none of these mistakes or misconduct excuses the misconduct of others. The Hells Angels are still a criminal organization that profit from the sale of drugs. Police misconduct does not change or minimize that. It just makes us more aware of the different faces and uniforms some criminals can wear. Especially the likes of Ken Huston and Rob Sidhu: http://gangstersout.blogspot.com/2009/12/bad-cops.html

Perhaps this is what was meant when they were concerned that the security of the AG's office may be compromised when conducting an under cover investigation of the Hells Angels in Vancouver.

I'm not even going to comment on the RCMP investigation of the Surrey Six murder. Much: http://www.vancouversun.com/news/Surrey+investigator+reassigned+relationship+with+witness/2487686/story.html
An RCMP officer having a relationship with a witness is unprofessional but does not minimize murder of innocent people. Just like it didn't with Gillian Guess: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gillian_Guess

Welfare in East Vancouver

Ethan Barron from the Vancouver Province recently published an editorial about welfare in East Vancouver. It was a part of their ongoing series Operation Phoenix. http://www.theprovince.com/Time+stagger+welfare+payouts/2453749/story.html

Ethan's editorial is well written and true enough but I want to shed light on another side so his observations don't get misinterpreted as heartless stereotypes.

When I was young I remember my father telling me about a tradition within the United Church of Canada. First United has always been active in providing nonjudgmental support in East Van. My father told me how one of the traditions in becoming a minister for the United Church was to spend a night on the streets in East Van with a limited amount of money.

The intent of the exercise was to show the minister how hard it is to make ends meet on the street. He talked about how some ministers found shelters and food lines. He also said one minister in particular became very frustrated and overwhelmed with the task. He said she saw first hand how futile the struggle was. She realized that with the money she had, she had to chose between a meal and a night indoors, she couldn't have both.

This minister was so frustrated with the insanity of the task, she bought a large bottle of cheap wine with her money and shared it with the homeless on Pigeon corner. He told the story with a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye and explained how many traditional members from the church were somewhat upset with her decision. He relayed the story to me without passing judgement as he thought it was amusing.

Indeed it was but it was sad as well. Sad because it was real. Welfare is not a lot of money. It's next to nothing. If you can't prove you have a permanent residence you even get less. You just get a food allowance not a shelter allowance. Even with the minuscule shelter allowance it really isn't enough to pay for a month in a dirty cheap hotel. For all practical purposes the money they give you for the month is not enough to last the month. So what do you do? It is enough to buy one night of stimulants to numb the pain of living on the street.

Ethan's article is right. This is where the drug dealers cash in. They exploit these people and get rich off them. One retired police officer likened these drug dealers to predators. Rightfully so. Closing down Riverview and putting all the mentally ill on the street was an abomination. Especially when the politicians who did so gave themselves two big fat raises and a gold plated pension after doing so. Abominable.

Not all homeless are mentally ill but many mentally ill are homeless and they end up in East Van because security guards move them on and corral them there. They push them out of Gastown and out of Chinatown and force them into East Van. Sid row as it's known.

Look how hard it is for the average person to make it between paychecks when they get paid every two weeks. Try budgeting your money when you get next to nothing once a month instead of every two weeks. And don't tell me it's easy living off the foodlines. I've volunteered there. Often the food donated is past the expiry date.

I remember seeing one female who looked uncomfortable and ashamed at the foodline. She looked at the mush for dinner and with a tear in her eye looked and me and apologetically said she couldn't eat it. No problem I said and took the plate away to avoid further embarrassment. I could see her pain. She was not scamming the system. She was adjusting to life on the street.

Addiction has always been an element of East Van. If it wasn't heroine or cheap wine it was aftershave which killed brain cells and reduced a person's ability to function. Now the crack epidemic is worse. A crack addict is far more violent than a heroine addict. Getting off the crack when dealers are in your face crying "Crack, Crack, Crack" as soon as you have a couple bucks in your pocket makes overcoming addition next to impossible.

We need to target the predators not the prey. We need to get rid of the crack dealers and the organized "clubs" who bring the cocaine into the country to be sold as crack. Food stamps are good. I'm all for giving the homeless food and shelter. I am opposed to buying them drugs. As Vancouver's Davinci said, staggering welfare payments is also a step forward. http://www.theprovince.com/Time+stagger+welfare+payouts/2453749/story.html

Peter Leak Decision under review

One of Peter Leak's decisions is finally being appealed. I'm not going to hold my breath. In my opinion the corrupt judicial system in B.C. covers it's own ass. http://www.theprovince.com/news/Appeal+court+asked+resurrect+charges+drug+trafficking/2435049/story.html

I am told Judges can't get fired here unless their decisions keep getting appealed. That is why they keep watering down their decisions so they don't get appealed. Time for the prosecution to put the same pressure the defense does by appealing bad decisions.
.
Only that costs a lot of money and given the judicial treason we face, unlikely an internal mechanism will correct itself. We need legislation to fire bad judges.
.
Here's one Peter Leask decision that was over turned: http://www.courts.gov.bc.ca/jdb-txt/CA/09/03/2009BCCA0388.htm
We need to make a list and fire him. He is clearly sitting on the wrong side of the bench.

Eyebrow Jobs

Speaking of Eyebrow Jobs, I was at Willowbrook Mall yesterday. I was walking through the mall and I passed a ladies make up place and two guys were sitting in chairs getting their make up done. I'm like WTF and do a double take and walk back to take a look.

Sure enough, two guys are sitting in chairs getting their eyebrows done at Meryle Normans in public for everyone to see. Now, I have no problem with someone being homosexual. I just have a problem with liars and fakes. Guys getting their eyebrows done at Merle Normans on a Saturday afternoon? That is fucked up.

What's happened to Langley? You don't see that shit in Surrey. I remember Langley. Quarter miles races out at Harvey road and Latimer road. Times have sure changed. Like I said, if someone is gay, I have no problem with that. I have a problem with someone pretending to be a hard core gangster from the hood and pulling that kind of lame ass bullshit.

Somehow I don't see Clint Eastwood in Grand Torino getting his eyebrows done at Merle Normans. Someone commented a while back on William Bowden's photo and said nice brow job. I'm like what the hell are they on about and took a closer look at the photo. Bloody hell, I said, he does have an eyebrow job.

Now, I'm all for personal hygiene and I realize that bushy Groucho Marx eyebrows aren't the most attractive thing to look at but WTF. These guys are pretending to be hardcore gangsters. Back in the day in the real City they would say yo bro you're noise is weak. Only that shit isn't just weak it's wacked.

Bilbo Baggins, the Hells Angel from Winnipeg charged with manslaughter that was caught with a retired cop with drugs and firearms getting his eyebrows done at Merle Normans. WTF is this world coming to?

Assault on prostitute in Maple Ridge

This one I find disturbing. We've read about Hells Angels enforcers cutting off a finger for a drug debt. http://www.vancouversun.com/news/found+Fraser+River+part+Prince+George+gang/1952430/story.html
Yet this case clearly opens Pandora's box. A guy viciously physically and sexually assaults a prostitute in Maple Ridge allegedly telling her her husband owed money to the Hells Angels and was in danger of being killed. http://www.theprovince.com/Five+years+jail+vicious+assault+prostitute+Maple+Ridge/2353301/story.html
Just because someone says that doesn't mean they are really affiliated with the Hells Angels on Hells Angels business but it is curious as to why he would say that.

The brutality of the assault is disturbing as well as the location. A physical and sexual assault on a prostitute in the name of the Hells Angels in the same general area as Piggy Palace. Disturbing indeed.

Hells Angel loses Airport Appeal

As much as I dislike the Hells Angels selling drugs and as much as I dislike the Hells angels playing the victim, I find this case puzzling. Why would anyone try to board an airplane with a loaded gun in their carry on? You put it on the conveyor belt knowing it will be x-rayed. http://www.theprovince.com/news/Hells+Angel+loses+appeal+over+handgun+conviction/2418444/story.html
That was Villy's defense. He claimed he didn't own the gun and no one would carry a gun on a plane knowing they would be caught. To me that argument does make sense. Peter Leask tried that with Glen Hehn. He claimed that Hehn would be out of his F-ing mind to keep that much cocaine in his own storage locker.

Only that case I disagree with completely. Glen Hehn may be a mean sob but he doesn't seem like the sharpest knife in the drawer. He doesn't seem that bright. He was caught red handed carrying the boxes of cocaine from his locker onto a truck. Two associates plead guilty and took the fall but that plea doesn't make sense. No Hells Angels associate is going to move that much cocaine without the Hells Angels knowledge and permission.

Villy's case at the airport is different. OK maybe toothless isn't very bright either. No doubt he's another mean sob. He was charged with mischief after allegedly breaking all the windows of a complainant's car with a baseball bat. Maybe he just forgot the gun was there and forgot to take it out. It sure wouldn't have been very bright.

However, the papers connecting the Hells Angels to the Jesters and the Outcasts found on his possession were an interesting read. Still part of me wonders if he was set up with the gun charge. That doesn't excuse the other charges he had. Yet if he wasn't set up he must have got his ass kicked for being so stupid.

Yet someone else just did the same thing: http://www.vancouversun.com/news/sentenced+months+concealed+handgun/2416261/story.html
As someone suggested another plausible motive was they were hoping someone working on the inside would have let them through like at the border. http://www.canada.com/vancouversun/news/story.html?id=7be57f99-be99-4b5a-8b55-8dc28f7cf73b&k=11951

After all, the Hells Angels have been accused of infiltrating the airport security in Calgary and Edmonton: http://www.zimbio.com/Mark+Guardado/articles/34/Hells+Angels+infiltrated+airports+Edmonton

Maybe they realize wearing Hells Angels colours is like wearing a target that says shoot me: http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory?id=7204225

The 2009 Vancouver Gang War in Review

2009 is referred to in Vancouver as the year of the gang war where gang violence over the sale of crack and crystal meth has rocked the community. The spark that outraged the community was the Surrey Six murder on October 19 2007 where a gang hit killed two innocent bystanders. The violence continued and peaked in 2009.

As the New Year and the new decade is upon us let's take a look at the year and the local war in review. As the video says "These Demons must be healed, revealed and crack the silence sealed because violence feels much deeper than the wound inflicted. A family infected, people disrespected, when will we begin to put it into perspective?"

In October of 2009 Joshua Hendrick was found dead floating down the Fraser River. According to the police, Hendrick was with the Crew, who run crack shacks and collect drug debts for the Hells Angels. According to Little Kim, he was was arrested in 2005 with Scott Payne a Crew leader who was convicted of aggravated assault for hacking off the finger of a drug addict over a $170 drug debt. Was Hendrick going to testify against his coaccused? http://www.vancouversun.com/news/found+Fraser+River+part+Prince+George+gang/1952430/story.html

Sex trade worker Lisa Francis was found dead in the Fraser River in 2009. Sex trade worker Annette Allan was also found dead dumped in the Fraser River back in 2001. Police say she was murdered at the Surrey house of horrors Crack house. Sex trade worker Yvonne Boen's DNA was found in the same crack house police believe Annette Allan was murdered in as well as on the Picton farm. http://gangstersout.blogspot.com/2009/10/worst-little-whore-house-in-surrey.html

The seventh human foot washed up on shore in the Vancouver area in 2009. Completely unrelated of course. Yet they have more boating accidents in other parts of the world but they don't have human feet washing up on shore. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Discoveries_of_human_feet_on_British_Columbia_beaches,_2007%E2%80%932009

The fact that Yurik hacked up his hits has nothing to do with it. Much: http://gangstersout.blogspot.com/2009/10/hired-hits-and-gory-dismemberments.html

In February of 2009 hundreds marched in Vancouver in memory of the missing women calling for a public inquiry: http://www.cbc.ca/canada/british-columbia/story/2009/02/14/van-missing-womens-march.html

A few weeks before Hendricks body was pulled out of the Fraser River a MAC II Machine gun with a silencer was found in a plastic bag floating down the Fraser River. Police say that firearm was involved in several gang related shootings in the Vancouver gang war. http://www.vancouversun.com/news/Police+trace+deadly+machine+pistol+linked+Vancouver+gang+shootings/2082564/story.html

Jody York's house was shot at as well as one of his relatives. Hells Angels associate Dru Cilliers was shot and killed in January of 2009 in Surrey. Hells Angel Len Pelletier cosigned the loan for Dru's Harley. Pelltier lives in a gated fortress and is cousins with Nomad Bob Green. He was shot at picking up his kid from high school in Langley in September 2007.

Dru's memorial was held in T-Barz strip club and many Hells Angels attended. In fact, T-Barz was the site of two other gang related shootings in 2009 and according to Russel Peters T-Barz is owned by his pal Hells Angel Randy Jones: http://www.gangstersout.com/registry.htm#rj

Back in July of 2008 UN member Elliot Castaneda and a friend were gunned down in Mexico. Not long before that he was seen with Matt the Rat Schader, a Hells Angel Associate who sucks up to the UN while Ron Lisling and John Punko were caught on tape saying the UN were not welcome in the entire province and they will pound anyone who does business with them.

In September of 2009, two Hells Angels Associates Gordon Kendal and Jeff Ivans were also gunned down in Mexico. These were two fun loving guys from Kamloops who got involved in buying drugs for the Hells Angels in Mexico. Photos of their brutal murder were posted in the Mexican news. http://www.thestar.com/News/Canada/article/701994

Joe Bralic was another Hells Angels associate gunned down for dealing cocaine this time in LA back in 2004. The Hells Angels tried to recruit him for MMA. Many patch members attended his funeral: http://thetyee.ca/News/2004/05/15/The_Deal_that_Killed_Superman_Part_2/

The Hells Angels have not stayed out of the violence in the Vancouver Gang war. They do business with all of the players and are the largest suppliers of cocaine in the country. The leadership of the Independent Soldiers has changed. They are not independent any more. According to police they are puppets of the Hells Angels now.

Hells Angel Larry Amero was seen with IS member Randy Naicker who was at a meeting with the Bacon brothers at Castle Fun Park in Kevlar. http://www.vancouversun.com/news/Founder+Metro+Vancouver+gang+Independent+Soldiers+parole/1993805/story.html

Larry's friends are Bacon Brothers friends which makes the original take over of the Red Scorpions very suspicious: http://gangstersout.blogspot.com/2009/11/red-scorpions-and-hells-angels.html

On the bright side, local activist Eileen Mohan was named Leader of the Year in 2009: http://www.gangstersout.com/leaderoftheyear.pdf

God bless her. May the public stand as one in 2010 and report these drug dealers to Crimestoppers because ratting out a rat isn't being a rat. Not doing so is. Word. http://www.bccrimestoppers.com/

The Christmas Truce

I remember hearing the story of how a remarkable ceasefire occurred on Christmas 1914 amid the first World War known as the Christmas Truce: http://www.history.com/content/christmas/christmas-truce-of-1914

When I reflect upon the Vancouver gang war and all the lives lost - some innocent, most not, I'm saddened by the loss of respect for life and for public safety all in the name of the almighty dollar.

There is no honour in selling crack. There is no honour in shooting someone for money. Any 12 year old kid can pull a trigger.

Yet if they can have a ceasefire in the middle of World War I why can't we have a cease fire in the Vancouver Gang War? One day, one week. How about starting the New Year off with a Truce?

Stop shooting people in public. Stop shooting people for crack. The public will rat you out if you do. Let's hope for a better world in the New Year. One where our families are safe not threatened by criminals.

The DEA vs the CIA

The documented evidence of the CIA's involvement in trading drugs for guns makes one wonder about the logical extreme involving the DEA. On one hand we have an under cover organization zealously trying to stop illegal drugs in the U.S. while on the other hand we have another secret organization that is doing the opposite.

Some claim that since the DEA and the laws in the U.S. are so harsh against illegal drugs there's no way the CIA could be involved with it. Others declare that the CIA let the DEA be so hard on illegal drugs simply to illuminate their competition in the market. Most declare the whole mess a conspiracy.

Gary Webb threw the gauntlet down when he published his series of articles and book called the Dark Alliance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d6dHqP9wc3k

Yet the Kerry Committee documented the allegations in a congressional hearing long before Gary Web's book: http://www.gangstersout.com/kerry_committe.htm

Bob Perry had reported it previously at the time. After Gary Webb's articles were published there was a public outcry and the director of the CIA held a public meeting to appease the public in LA. At this public meeting former LAPD officer Mike Ruppert spoke out and said he was aware the Agency had been selling drugs in LA for years and had been trying to get that information out to the public.

Later DEA Agent Celerino Castillo also confirmed that drugs were being traded for arms out of El Salvador using U.S. military planes. He said it was so prevalent it had to be known. When he complained about it he claims he was told the DEA's hands were tied because it was an under cover CIA Operation: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LYOVQezWaCY

Judge Robert Warner was a former Administrator for the DEA who went on 60 Minutes to complain about the CIA importing a ton of cocaine into Florida: http://www.gangstersout.com/cia_cocaine.htm

Judge Warner talked about the frustrations the DEA face when dealing with CIA under cover operations. Personally I believe the CIA is corrupt. I believe it always has been: http://www.gangstersout.com/history_of_cia_corruption.htm

The problem is that the CIA has too much power with too little accountability. That is a recipe for disaster. They are mandated to use deadly force to protect State Secrets. That spells totalitarian government. It is a violation of the U.S. Constitution which I believe to be an inspired document and the Judaical scale to measure all other laws.

Barry Seal and Mena, Arkansa

We've established how the Hells Angels were connected to drug smuggling in one air force base at El Segundo. http://www.vcstar.com/news/2001/nov/02/hells-angels-defendant-gets-3-years-probation/

The song I left my wallet in El Segundo by A Tribe Called quest was just ironic. Now let's look at Barry Seal and Mena, Arkansa.

Sarah McClendon was a famous hard hitting U.S. reporter. She questioned Bill Clinton about an Air Force base in Mena, Arkansa used to smuggle cocaine in exchange for arms for the Contras: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iDMktUYvC7k

At first listening one is forced to ask what the fuck is she talking about? This is a quick overview of what went on there: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6685861830083191045##

Mena isn't the only air force base that was used to smuggle cocaine. It's likely the most documented and became famous with the suspicious deaths of two teenagers who stumbled across something they shouldn't have and ended up dead as a result. Their death became a complicated conspiracy known as the Mena Connection.

That story is longer and harder to follow but the just of it is two young boys were murdered. Their death was made to look like a suicide that didn't make sense. The corner, Bobby Malick, not only falsified the boys death certificates, he tampered with the evidence which was shown after the bodies were exhumed and a second autopsy performed.

Turns out this was not the only murder reported as a suicide that Bobby Malick was involved in. Turns out that for some bizarre reason, Bill Clinton supported Malick in his position even after evidence about him was made public.

Barry Seal was the CIA Agent involved in the operation http://whatreallyhappened.com/RANCHO/POLITICS/MENA/SEAL/The_Kingpin.html
who ended up murdered after he turned informant in 1984. http://www.nndb.com/people/140/000129750/

A little George Orwell indeed. Barry Seal was tied to Oliver North and Vice President George Bush Sr.

Bad Cops - Ken Houston and Rob Sidhu

Every country has police and prisons to support law and order. Some countries have a bad reputation for corrupt police that will let you off with a crime for a bribe. Any documentary on the Chicago mob will show that some police were corrupt as well as some judges and some elected officials. This was the wrong that Eliot Ness set out to correct.

If Al Capone or the Chicago Outfit called themselves a club instead of a gang, that would not change the primary business they were involved in. Nor would it change anything if the Crips or the Bloods called themselves a club to evade prosecution.

Some criminals cry fowl when their miss deeds are exposed and complain that I don't speak about bad cops. I've already spoken on the Taser inquiry at the Airport. I think those officers were within the legal parameters to taser the individual but they clearly over reacted by tasering him over and over again.

I don't think tasering someone over and over again falls within the realms of proper use of that device. In fact, I don't like the type of tasers police use now. A one shot cattle prong is fine but a gun that fires an electrode into the body connected to a cord where the officers can crank the ongoing voltage at will should not be used.

Still the peanut galley cry and claim that selling cocaine to kids is nothing compared to the occasional DUI. I disagree. I certainly don't agree with driving impaired. That can and does kill innocent people. However I do think that if some police officers get DUI charges that does not make the entire organization corrupt.

Conversely people will argue that just because some Hells Angels get trafficking charges that does not mean the entire group is a criminal organization. I disagree. When presidents and high ranking officials keep getting caught trafficking cocaine in Canada and when the club uses it's name and reputation to sell crack, then that club clearly becomes a criminal organization.

Nevertheless, since not all police or former police are noble and just I will indeed cite two cases of what I believe to be bad cops. The first is Ken Huston, the second is Rob Sidhu.

Ken Houston is a retired Winnipeg police officer. He retired from the force in 2003. January of 2007 he was caught in the same SUV as a Winnipeg Hells Angel charged with manslaughter named William Bowden. Police seized a 9 mm semiautomatic handgun from the vehicle along with a small amount of drugs. Both men faced numerous weapons charges as well as possession of a controlled substance. http://www.cbc.ca/canada/manitoba/story/2007/01/22/hells-charges.html

In my opinion Ken Houston is a bad cop. Or at least a bad retired cop. The second case I will cite is Rob Sidhu. Another retired police officer who was charged with fraud to obtain information about the location of the Bacon brothers: http://www.vancouversun.com/news/allegedly+pretended+IHIT+member+locate+Bacon+brothers/1532245/story.html
Here we have a former police officer using his former police connections to get information about rival gang members. Hells Angels associate Matt the Rat Schader was caught driving Rob Sidhu's car. That is not illegal of course but it shows another Hells Angels connection to another retired police officer involved in what would appear to be criminal activity. Fraud is a crime.

Makes you wonder how Winnipeg Hells Angel Ian Grant had confidential police files in his possession when they raided his house: http://mikeoncrime.com/article/943/mcintyre-column-confidential-police-documents-fell-into-hands-of-hells-angels

I've posted my conspiracy theory about the reason the Hells Angels associate gave information to the UN when the Hells Angels were really opposed to the UN and were secretly supporting the Bacon brothers. http://gangstersout.blogspot.com/2009/11/red-scorpions-and-hells-angels.html

Not only does it spell criminal organization but it also spells cheap and dirty like how the Hells Angels secured control of another puppet club, the Death Riders, after the Death Riders president was murdered: http://www.americanmafia.com/Feature_Articles_114.html
