Police Brutality protest in Montreal declared illegal

Well this is tragic. We know the student protest got out of hand with rock throwing and looting. Then they went for the protest in your underwear which wasn’t as violent. Yet declaring this annual police brutality protest illegal is once again a violation of the charter of rights. Especial this year with the release of the Rodney King like video of an arrest in Trois-Rivieres where the police gave the guy the boots. Citizens have every right to march and express their concern over that.

More than 250 people were arrested at the protest. According to Montreal police, the majority of people were arrested under municipal bylaw P-6, which makes it illegal to cover one's face while taking part in a protest and for failing to provide authorities with an itinerary.

OK covering your face during a protest is a concern. Especially with all the history of rioting in Vancouver as well as Montreal. Covering your face and looting is not a charter right. Organizing a mass protest in the middle of the night is a valid concern. Not supplying an itinerary isn’t.

Two things we need to examine, well in all fairness three. First we need to examine the sacred charter right to freedom of assembly and the right to publicly protest to petition the government for a redress of grievance. Making that illegal is illegal. It is a violation of the charter of rights which is the highest law. So if people were arrested who were not wearing a mask or causing problems then they need to sue the police for unlawful arrest along with the Civil Liberties Association and sue for damages. That’s the only way it’ll stop. Violence is not the answer.

The next thing we need to examine is the recent video of police brutality in Trois-Rivieres that people are rightfully concerned about. The suspect had surrendered to police and was lying face down on the ground with his arms outstretched. All the officers run in and give him the boots. What the officers did is wrong. Failing to admit that and arresting people for expressing their concerns isn't right.

In all fairness we also need to look at how rioting and looting is not a charter right. It outrages the public and destroys the cause. People are suspicious of provocateurs who are paid to cause problems to give the police a reason to crack down on them. Yet there are many who just like violence. If you are in a protest, you need to denounce and separate yourself from the violence. If you’re still arrested you need to sue for unlawful arrest. Last year this same protest was totally inappropriate.

There nothing worse that a lunatic protester screaming f the police and challenges them to a fight before claiming police brutality. Idiot. This video however is not of that. It’s just like the Kelowna video where then police officer kicked a compliant suspect in the face when he was on his knees. It destroys public confidence. Yet no one likes lawlessness. That destroys public safety.

BC Liberal ethnic memo scandal

I don’t understand what all the hullabaloo is over this multicultural “scandal “ with the BC Liberals. God knows the BC Liberals do have a mountain of legitimate scandals. I just don’t see this as one of them. They got caught trying to reach out to ethnic minorities. And… What else? What’s the scandal?

They tried to reach out to ethnic minorities and a MLA who is a visible minority takes the fall and resigns. I just don’t get it. BC Rail – that’s a scandal. Campbell Heights Industrial Park – that’s a scandal. Reaching out to minorities isn’t. It’s almost like Godzilla’s spin doctor is working the other side to promote the Surrey high jacking of the party.

The latest news is that they did it on the tax payer’s dime which certainly isn’t surprising. How about all those stupid freaking partisan adds on TV and even the super bowl on the tax payers dime? That’s a bigger scandal and no one seems to care about that. Except the taxpayers foundation of course. Are they going to pay that money back?

Swiss Tourist gang raped in India

This is another example of the polarization of good and evil. Not long ago there was a huge public outcry in India when a woman was gang raped and brutally murdered. The public outcry was good and the deranged brutal gang rape was evil. We’re told that one of the suspects has died in prison. Apparently by suicide.

Not long after, despite the public outrage, there was another brutal gang rape involving once again another bus driver. The driver drove past the woman’s stop and took her to a place where he met up with some other men and gang raped her. Astonishing given the public outcry of the previous incident.

Now the breaking news is yet another gang rape in India, this time of a Swiss tourist. Obviously a lot of people are rightfully outraged by this kind of conduct yet it continues. Thus we see a small percentage of the population who revel in deranged acts. Dare I say 1% of the population. As I’ve previously mentioned, back in the day the term 1% meant cream of the crop, not bottom on the barrel. Now the term has clearly changed it’s meaning.

Rape is a horrendous crime. Gang rape is simply deranged. I’ve made references to needing some time with Doctor Phil. When I say that I’m being sarcastic because I can’t stand that show. All the drama and touchy feely talk is beyond me. Yet when we see this plague of parasites who revel in gang rape it is clear a mental problem exists that needs to be addressed.

This brings us to Prince George and the Devil’s Butler. In Prince George there were two cases where members of the GTS were charged with gang rape in the Renegades clubhouse. Both cases the accused got off. In one case the judge said because the victim went to the clubhouse and accepted cocaine from them, she was not a credible witness. Another example how a corrupt judge can pervert the law. No means no. If the victim was a willing participant in a sexual act with one person, and several others join in against her will, then that is still gang rape. Taking drugs does not forfeit your right to say no and mean that it’s legal to gang rape the person after wards. That judgment is a stain on all of us.

Then we have that other case in Prince George where a young woman and several young men beat and sodomized a young teenager almost to death and left him for dead in a snow bank. This is the epitome of mental illness. Calling anyone who reports that crime or testifies in that case a rat on in their case a squid is deranged. It is a sign of a mental illness. It is abnormal behavior.

I always tell young kids to experience travel. Get out of the fish bowl and see that life in the real world isn’t the same as the bizarre ideals held by a few peers in a small town or a small borrow of a big city. Joking about sodomizing anyone with an iron rod or a broom stick is really messed up.

Realizing there is likely a publication ban on that trial and that I have no idea what has been said in court, I did notice lately, one of the accused had a picture on facebook of them with a cat. One of the commenters joked and said be careful or the car gets the broomstick and everyone else was laughing. These are sick kids and I don’t mean sic yo I mean they are really messed up.

One blog reader wrote in suggesting that those who participated in the gang rape in India with an iron bar should be gang raped in public with an iron bar. I certainly don’t sustain that but I can certainly understand their outrage which is normal and healthy. Joking about it is not. Personally I think a firing squad would be more humane and appropriate.

I think Utah is the only state that still has the death penalty by way of firing squad. I realize Amnesty International does a lot of really good work raising public awareness about political prisoners. I’m not sure if I would support that same zeal in the removal of the death penalty in all cases. Cases of serial killers or gang rape makes me wonder if sometimes the death penalty might be appropriate. Clearly these young kids in Prince George who are joking about sodomizing a cat with a broom stick after they sodomized a teenage boy with a broom stick need a reality check.

As I’ve mentioned, that book about The Devil’s Butler referring to someone the Vancouver Satan’s Angels kidnapped and sodomized with a broom stick is a historic example of a deranged behavior that has continued. The Vancouver Hells Angels were caught trafficking cocaine through puppet clubs in Prince George many years ago. Ricky Ciarniello's involvement with David Black and the Devil’s Butler is very disturbing.

Update on the Surrey Six trial

The Vancouver Sun, the Vancouver Province and the Surrey Leader are reporting that there has been a delay in the Surrey Six trial. Pretrial is still going on and because it is taking so long the actual trial won’t start until September. It was originally scheduled for May 6. So here’s the deal. I know we’ve talked a lot about the Surrey Six as that event created a public outrage that continues to this day and was what got me started on my website and blog. Nevertheless, I’m not going to be covering the trial so Wake me up when September ends.

I know everyone wants to know what’s going on with that case and I know I have rightfully expressed many concerns about over reaching publication bans. I don’t want to do anything that will in any way have an adverse effect on that trial. Publication bans are painful but since this trial has been split into three, four if you count the RCMP misconduct, then anything said in court at this trial could bias one of the other trials. For that reason I don’t see the publication ban being lifted until all of those trials run their full course. That doesn’t mean people can’t go and attend the trial or pretrial for themselves. We just can’t publish any evidence that might affect any of those other trials or taint a potential jury pool.

I will still be blogging about the Hells Angels violent control of the drug trade in Canada, as that is a huge concern. I firmly believe in protecting the identity of witnesses. Anyone who testifies in that trial is a hero. The rats are the ones who profited from that murder.

Catching up

Once again there are several stories to catch up on. The police have released the id of the latest victims found dead on Colebrook road early Wednesday morning and are reporting that they were both likely shot in the location they were found at. I’ll post updates on that thread.

Lots of gang trials coming up. I want to read up on this gang related kidnapping trial where the witness is refusing to testify out of fear of reprisal. It’s hard to keep track of all the gang related kidnappings but I think it’s important to mention it. More news of Hells Angels being charged with drug related violence in the States as well.

Most importantly is the front page of today’s Surrey Leader. They highlight Janice Shore and Bryan Bylo as two people with mental illness that the system failed. It’s an interesting comparison since one was a victim of crime and the other was involved with crime yet I think it’s worth looking at. My follow up is going to be on the predatory nature of the heartless drug dealers that exploit people with mental illness by giving them free drugs then beating the life out of them for payment.

We hear the word rat used a lot in the criminal world when referring to someone who reports a criminal to the police. Yet there is nothing more low life than a drug dealer who preys on the mentally ill. The system has failed these victims because they stand by and let the drug dealers sell hard drugs to them in public. They even encourage it with their insanely twisted definition of Harm Reduction. We need to spotlight the predatory nature of these drug dealers that exploit the mentally ill as well as the local drug lords driving around in their SUV’s paid for with blood money and the corrupt politicians that accept campaign contributions from the businesses that launder drug money. That is something we need to examine.

Pope Francis from Argentina is the new Pope

CBC is reporting that Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio of Argentina, who will be known as Pope Francis, has been selected as the new Pope. He is the first Pope from the Americas and the first from outside Europe in more than a millennium.

That’s nice. Everyone is stunned because everyone was speculating as to who was the most likely to be chosen. I guess that’s why people shouldn’t assume who’s next in line. On a lighter note, there was a late night comedian on television a week ago that sent a reporter out into the public to ask them what they thought of the new Pope. This was long before one was selected. They all started making stuff up and saying oh, he’s great.

Then the reporter asked one guy if he had seen the Pope’s ex wife’s interview on television and the guy said, oh yeah, she was very funny. Then she asked him how he felt about him being Jewish and he said he felt that was a good thing. It was rather amusing to see how people can be so out of touch with reality. I know we’re all busy but come on... Is the Pope Catholic?

Two more bodies dumped on Colebrook Road

Freddy was right. Kim Bolan, the Vancouver Province, CTV and CBC are reporting that two more bodies were found on Colebrook Road in Surrey this morning. One blog reader wrote in and recounted how the two suspects that assaulted that Surrey sex trade worker did so on Colebrook road. That is messed up.

The Vancouver Province is reporting that “Sgt. Jennifer Pound said the first body - an unresponsive male at the side of the road near 125A Street - was spotted by a uniformed officer on "proactive" patrol around 2 a.m. Wednesday. When additional officers were called to the scene, a police dog team found a woman's body a short distance away.”

Kim Bolan is reporting that “The man’s body was found in the exact spot where 29-year-old Delta resident Amritpal (Paul) Saran was found burned and dumped on Feb. 24.” If I’m counting right that makes ten homicides this year so far in Surrey alone. That’s including Janice Shore who was brutally assaulted in Whalley December of last year but died of her injuries this year.

~~

Update: Police have identified the two dead bodies found on Colebrook road early Wednesday moring. One is 54-year-old Brett Sheldon Lietz. And the other is 40-year-old Nicole Madelynn Brochu. Brochu had a criminal record between 1989 and 2003, while Lietz had no record at all. The two victims were known to each other as they were living together as roommates. Police also state it is likely they were both shot at the location they were found in.

Surrey Shirts banned from Surrey Place Mall

Here we go again. The City of Surrey threatened to sue the owner of the Surrey Shirts web site for his satire shirts about Surrey over copyright violation. Then the lawyer for Surrey First said they were not taking him to court they just sent him a letter objecting to his shirts. Now all of a sudden they’ve been banned from Surrey Place Mall.

After getting all the media exposure they started selling the shirts at a kiosk in the Mall. Now they’ve been banned and are no longer for sale there. “It’s not a ban,” Laura Ballance, a spokeswoman for the mall, said. “They talked to the retailer and they agreed to remove the merchandise." Oh really. Who is they?

Pitcairn was also denied a table by the Cloverdale Sunday market “We’re concerned that Surrey Shirts has been blacklisted from public events and effectively banned from the city of Surrey,” Pitcairn said. But a City of Surrey spokeswoman said that’s not true. “No city staff member has had any contact with any retailer, mall or market regarding his clothing,” Tara Foslien said.

Stop lying! None of us are that stupid. Laura Ballance represents Dianne Watts. She is Godzilla’s media spin doctor. Another wannabe Matt Wilcox. Laura Ballance also represents the self indulgent Mayors council as well as the City of Surrey. It is clear that the city of Surrey bullied the Mall and are now lying about doing so. Again.

It’s fine to say Surrey had a bad reputation but we are tying to change that but denying free speech and suppressing crime statistics is wrong. Especially when you have this ridiculous political agenda. We have already seen the results of Marvin Hunt and the former Mayor of Langley high jacking the BC Liberal candidacy for MLA’s in Surrey. They skipped the nomination and election procedure, then demanded Christy Clark resign. Clearly the City of Surrey’s bullying has extended into Provincial politics. “We’ll bully Surrey First, then the entire Province.”

Corporations can threaten to withdraw media advertizing dollars but consumers can withdraw their business. That is supply and demand in a Free Market. It’s time we boycott Surrey Place Mall and the Cloverdale Sunday market until they rescind their decision to heed Godzilla’s bullying. You can still buy your Surrey Shirts online. It is lawful to wear them.

The rise and fall of Preston Manning

It was nice to see Preston Manning interviewed on television recently. He was the Dalai Lama of the conservative movement in Canada. Before everything went wrong that is. It was nice to see him photographed with the one and only Ron Paul. Preston Manning used to be like Ron Paul, until he dropped the ball.

I saw a short clip of one of his interviews where he said two profound things. Reflecting upon the /90’s when the Reform party swept the west he was asked if things have changed since then. Manning’s first observation was that they took a firm stand on balancing the budget and reducing the debt back then and were considered quite radical for doing so at the time. Now he observes that every party talks about balancing the budget and reducing the debt so that is progress. Yet talking the talk and walking the walk are two very different things.

Manning also made a profound statement. He spoke in favor of the environment and said being fiscally responsible is being environmentally responsible. The idea behind balancing the budget is to save something for the next generation. Here Preston Manning is applying that same principle to protecting the environment.

He admits it’s a tough sell within the current party and many defensively raise their hands at the thought suggesting there is still some work to be done to convince the new party that protecting the environment is being fiscally responsible. In fact, Stephen Harper has done the exact opposite.

As we remember, the Reform Party completely swept the West coast and won almost every seat. The movement stopped dead in Ontario where many saw it as a separatist party which was not true. Reform’s position was if Quebec wants to separate, let them. The sky will not fall. Ontario couldn’t grasp the idea and stood apart. That’s when Reform saw they had gone as far as they could go and needed to make some new alliances if they were to take Ottawa. Or restore some burned bridges.

This famous quote from the past is the ultimate historic deception from Brutus himself: As party members gathered in Saskatoon, policy director Stephen Harper told the assembly they must set aside their fringe status and take the fight to Parliament Hill. "We are not here to fight Preston Manning," Harper told the party's grassroots. "We are here to help Preston Manning. We are here to fight Brian Mulroney and Jean Chrétien and Audrey McLaughlin."

How on earth could Stephen Harper make that statement with a straight face? Clearly his masterful deception meant he was going places. Remember Harry Potter? Remember Tom Riddle? Rearrange the letters in Tom Riddle’s name and you get Lord Voldemort. Well, Stephen Harper is Brian Mulroney. Suggesting at one time he was mandated to fight him when he has done everything in his power to mimic and embrace him reveals the neo con implant.

It really comes as no surprise. Preston Manning’s original quest was to balance the budget to save social programs not destroy them. Preston Manning challenged us to look beyond the left and right and see issues not stereotypes. The slogan was unite the bright. Only the staff made a typo and printed unite the right so they decided to run with it. They merged with the very Mulroney neo con they originally set out to oppose and under Stephen Harper’s leadership became just like him.

We saw Preston Manning rise. He fell when he embraced Stephen Harper’s con. He fell when he continues to embrace that deception in an attempt to unite the right knowing full well that right is no longer right. Preston Manning fell when he embraced Harper and Christy Clark’s pee wee Herman advisor that is obsessed with spending tax dollars on advertizing to convince voters how to think when Reform promised to poll voters to create policies not brainwash them like big brother. Indeed great has been the fall there of. Stephen Harper is no Ron Paul. He is the exact opposite. Corporate communism has been revealed and we are now funding China’s military expansion.

JJ Truscott is out of his mind

Justice John Truscott has lost his marbles. Perhaps we should put an add in the paper for him. This case is yet another example of what a joke the injustice system in BC has become. Only it’s not funny. John Truscott just acquitted a Surrey trucker who was caught smuggling 114 kilos of cocaine across the boarder in his truck.

The Vancouver Province is reporting that: “On July 19, 2009, Amritpal Singh Narwal was stopped at the Huntingdon (Sumas) border crossing driving a 2003 Kenworth tractor and pulling an apparently empty 1996 commercial trailer. When a border officer inspected the trailer, he observed that washers holding screws to a metal plate on the back of a refrigeration unit appeared scratched, as if the plate had been removed and replaced repeatedly.

Using a screwdriver, he removed one or two screws, peered behind the plate and pulled out two kilograms of cocaine. When the plate was completely removed, it was discovered that the interior of the refrigeration unit had been hollowed out and filled with 144 kilograms of cocaine. At the trial Narwal claimed that he had no knowledge the cocaine was in the trailer and no reason to suspect it was there.

B.C. Supreme Court Justice John Truscott concluded "that whoever loaded the cocaine did it without the accused's knowledge and involvement, so that the accused would not appear nervous at the border or disappear with the cocaine." Come on, that is ridiculous. The border officer noticed that “the washers holding screws to a metal plate on the back of a refrigeration unit appeared scratched, as if the plate had been removed and replaced repeatedly.” Replaced repeatedly. As in it has been done many times before.

“Someone” Hollowed out the refrigeration unit without his knowledge. That’s pretty hard for a driver not to notice. 144 kilos of cocaine takes up a fair amount of space. It’s highly likely that by hollowing out the refer unit, the refrigeration stopped working. That’s kind of hard for a trucker not to notice. On top of that he produced a false delivery bill to cover up the fact that he drove all the way to LA to pick up the cocaine.

This judge is an idiot. This is even worse than the Glen Hehn case where he was caught red handed loading 52 kilos of cocaine from his storage locker onto a truck. He told the judge that he didn’t know what was in the boxes and was helping an associate move. Yeah, what did the associate say was in the boxes? An associate isn’t going to move that much cocaine without the Hells Angels permission.

At least in the Glen Hehn case someone else took the fall and said they did it. In this case no one took the fall and the judge let the guy walk away free. That is crazy. Not much of a deterrent there. This brings us to the misconception that the public are not allowed to criticize judges. The public’s not learned in the law so they can’t understand the law like the judge can. Bullsh*t. We pay their salaries. We elect the governments that make and change the law. The public has a right and a duty to criticize bad decisions that mock justice.

Check out JJ’s rap sheet: Police received a call about someone tied up on a person’s property. The police responded to the call and found a grow op on site. JJ threw out the evidence because he said the call claiming someone was tied up inside was bizarre and contained little rational information suggesting someone was in danger. He said “In my view, when the two constables went to the address and spoke to the accused at the front gate and were told that there was no one tied up at that residence, they should have accepted that and left,”

JJ must be on crack. Do you really think if they had someone tied up inside that they would tell the police about it? Do you really think if the police went to a crack house in Prince George and said Hey, do you have anyone chained up in your basement that you’re torturing? No? OK, thanks. That’s good enough for us. That would be irresponsible and negligent.

Yes warrantless searches are a concern. Yet dismissing a 911 call claiming someone is tied up inside being held captive because it sounds crazy is absurd. Stranger things happen every day.

In fact, this egomaniac even overruled a city bylaw to allow an addiction treatment centre in effect banning the treatment centre. Supreme Court Justice John Truscott found the bylaw was inconsistent with the city's official community plan (OCP) and therefore contrary to the Local Government Act.

"In my view, in order to authorize this recovery facility on this site, city council will be required to amend the OCP," Truscott wrote in a reasons for judgment. Council adopted the bylaw in December 2011 to allow the creation of a 30-bed Northern Supportive Recovery Centre for Women at the now-closed school. JJ shut it down. He was way out of his jurisdiction.

In fact, JJ even acquitted a man for assaulting a peace officer even though a witness saw him and he was convicted. Instead of ordering a retrial, which there was no basis for, he acquitted the man and set him free. JJ said the witness who testified to seeing the suspect wrestling with the police officer, was 40 or 50 meters away and wore a hearing aid. He saw the suspect wrestling with the police officer which supported the police officer’s testimony. He didn’t have to hear anything. He saw it. Wearing a hearing aid isn’t relevant.

JJ said the key issue in acquitting the man after another judge found him guilty was because the previous judge said he had no great confidence in Mr. Briscoe’s version rather than stating that he had no confidence in the accused’s version of events since it contradicted the police officer’s version and another independent witness. “To say that he had no great confidence is to suggest that he still had some confidence” which means there was reasonable doubt. He was being nice. He had no confidence in the accused’s version because it contradicted the evidence. Idiot!

This is a pattern of insanity. John Truscott needs a psychiatric evaluation before he returns to the bench. He is clearly a danger to society in that position.
