SNC-Lavalin opts for judge-only trial in corruption case

CBC is reporting that "Lawyers representing SNC-Lavalin have opted for trial by judge alone in a corruption case that has loomed over the Montreal-based engineering and construction giant. The company was ordered to stand trial last May. It is accused of paying $47.7 million in bribes to public officials in Libya between 2001 and 2011. SNC-Lavalin, its construction division and a subsidiary also face one charge each of fraud and corruption for allegedly defrauding various Libyan organizations of $129.8 million."

SNC-Lavalin is a bad company like unto Lockheed Martin. We really need to stop bailing them out with tax dollars. The Canadian economy will not take a hit if SNC-Lavalin goes down because other companies will rise to take it's place. That's how it works in a free market. Other companies that aren't so riddled with corruption. Corporate Communism has got to go. SNC-Lavalin has a long history of under biding and over charging government contracts then committing fraud with tax dollars only to give the politicians a kickback. This obscenity needs to come to an end.

Chilliwack RCMP seize drugs in Surrey

The Surrey Now Leader is reporting that Chilliwack RCMP Crime Reduction Unit Drug Section (CRU) searched 3 residences in Surrey and seized 2.4 kilos of crystal met and half a kilo of cocaine." When are the Surrey RCMP going to bust the drug trafficking out of Shakerz and stop providing them police protection? Please advise.

Gordon Wilson's defamation Fraud takes three hits

The Surrey now Leader is reporting that "A B.C. Supreme Court judge has struck three of Gordon Wilson’s five claims for special damages in the former provincial politicians defamation lawsuit against Surrey-Whalley MLA Bruce Ralston, Premier John Horgan, NDP MP Rachel Blaney and Jen Holmwood." This is an offensive fraud of epic proportions.

Gordon Wilson got a sweetheart job advocating for LNG because his wife, Judi Tyabji, wrote a book promoting Christy Clark called Behind the Smile. When John Horgan was elected they changed LNG advocates. Bruce Ralston and John Horgan implied that Gordon Wilson did very little to justify his exuberant salary. That was absolutely true.

One of the statements said he didn't even write a report. Then Dianne Watts pathetic lapdog does some digging and found a report Gordon Wilson had someone write for him. Aha! That's defamation! Not. You guys are complete shysters. Anonymous implied that Christy Clark funneled thousands of tax dollars into that conflicted couple while she was premier. They should be in jail. This frivolous law suit should be thrown out because of the anti SLAPP legislation. Gordon Wilson and Judi Tyabji should be more concerned with finding some self respect.

Gas companies refuse to reveal profits to Price Fixing Inquiry

CBC is reporting that "Hearings for an inquiry into soaring gas prices in B.C. don't kick off for another week, but several major companies selling gas in the province are already refusing to share details about their profit margins. The B.C. Utilities Commission asked more than a dozen companies to disclose their retail margins, which show how much money they make per litre of gasoline pumped from their stations. Shell Canada, Husky Energy, Imperial Oil and Suncor Energy declined the commission's request. In written responses posted online, the companies say those numbers are confidential and commercially sensitive." JAIL THEM.

Bruce Linton fired as co CEO of Canadian pot company Canopy Growth after it acquired Acreage Holdings

CNBC is reporting that Bruce Linton, co-CEO of Canopy Growth, said he was fired from the Canadian pot company he founded in 2013 in an interview with CNBC on Wednesday. Canopy, the world’s largest publicly traded cannabis company by market value, earlier Wednesday announced in a press release that Linton was removed as co-chief executive officer and a member of the board, effective immediately. Mark Zekulin, who had been co-CEO with Linton, becomes the sole CEO while the company searches for a replacement."

The move comes after a 3.4 billion dollar acquisition of a US company who called for a reconfiguration of the board. Having said that this is all pretty much beyond me. I don't invest in legal pot because I personally don't support it. I see it as a dirty business that inhibits youth but recognize that it will continue to flourish and the cop pot entities that are striving to use their contracts to create a monopoly in the industry are in my opinion dirty.

Maybe they want to hire Mark Emery. Unlikely. They just want to use people and cast them aside when they are done with them. It's the nature of the business.

Gag order hides another RCMP sexual harassment settlement

The Chronicle Journal is reporting that "RCMP say a settlement has been reached in a lawsuit that alleged a former spokesman for the force in British Columbia sexually harassed a civilian employee. The lawsuit against former inspector Tim Shields had been scheduled to go to trial on Tuesday but court documents show the parties agreed to dismiss the action without costs in May. RCMP Sgt. Janelle Shoihet says the terms of the settlement are confidential."

Another gag order hides more RCMP sexual harassment. The civil claim alleged a top-down culture of harassment within the force. That is why there was a class action law suit against the RCMP which was also settled out of court. Tim Shields is a bad man.

Post Media News attacks the Toronto Star

The Toronto Star is reporting that "By all rights the federal Liberals ought to be cruising toward a comfortable victory in October. The economy is humming along, especially where most of the voters live - in Ontario, Quebec and British Columbia. A million jobs have been created in the past four years and unemployment is at its lowest level (5.4 per cent) since the distant days of 1976." Very true. The article then says Justin Trudeau needs to "reassert his leadership, avoid any more gaffes, and show Canadians he has a clear vision of where he wants to take the country - and the qualities needed to get there." It's all fair comment.

Then the National Post puts out an article not confronting Justin Trudeau but confronting the Toronto Star. That is what's weird. The Toronto Star article is not. Remember the Toronto Star is independent, the National Post is not. The National Post is now owned by Post Media News. When the Main Stream Media attacks an independent media outlet for expressing a valid political opinion one needs to consider the source and question where the Main Stream media is trying to take us. Propaganda is not news. Buyer Beware.

Surrey's South Asian temple leaders push solicitor general to let city replace RCMP

CBC is reporting that "Surrey's South Asian temple leaders are calling on the province to move faster to allow a new municipal police service to replace the RCMP. They believe a new police service would help curb disproportionate violence affecting South Asian community members. The executives of Surrey's six largest Sikh Gurdwaras and the largest Hindu Mandir have sent a joint letter to B.C. Solicitor General Mike Farnworth urging him to approve the city plan to replace the Surrey RCMP." Post Media Propaganda didn't report that because they are biased.

"At the same time, another group is rallying in the opposite direction. Keep the RCMP in Surrey is a group co-ordinated by Ivan Scott, whose son is a Surrey RCMP officer." His son is a RCMP officer. Exactly. Doug McCallum was elected on a promise to get rid of the RCMP in Surrey and the RCMP are still fighting the democratic will of Surrey. It confirms why they need to be replaced. Surrey is the largest city in Canada without it's own police force. Get over it.

Anthony Joshua's shocking defeat to Andy Ruiz

I just heard that Anthony Joshua lost his fight against Andy Ruiz June 1st. I'm shocked. The Guardian is reporting that Andy Ruiz Jr sprang one of the biggest shocks in heavyweight championship history on Saturday night when he spoiled Anthony Joshua’s US debut with a seventh-round technical knockout at Madison Square Garden.

"The unheralded 29-year-old from southern California, a replacement opponent dialled in on five weeks’ notice who went off as a 11-1 underdog, came off the floor in the third round to drop Joshua twice before the end of the frame, then sent the undefeated champion crashing to the canvas for a third and fourth time in the seventh round before referee Mike Griffin put a stop to the proceedings at the 1:27 mark."

"This was no fluke. No lucky one-punch knockout that can be explained away by a silver-tongued promoter. Joshua was outboxed, out-toughed and beaten up on a night that turned boxing’s bellwether weight class on its ear."

"The fight is considered one of the biggest upsets in boxing history, drawing comparisons to Mike Tyson vs. Buster Douglas in 1990 and Lennox Lewis vs. Hasim Rahman in 2001. Ruiz also made history as the first ever Mexican world heavyweight champion." A rematch is in the cards.

Andy Ruiz came back hard and strong after getting knocked down in the third round. They call him the Mexican Rocky. Andy Ruiz trained with Freddie Roach for seven years.

Israel Is Blamed for Deadly Missile Strikes in Syria

The New York Times is reporting that "Israeli warplanes struck several military sites in Syria overnight and killed several fighters and civilians, Syrian state media reported on Monday, in what appeared to be a stepping up of Israel’s long-running, partly covert campaign to thwart Iranian military entrenchment in Syria and stop weapon transfers to Lebanon."

The Times of Israel is reporting that "A private Israeli intelligence firm on Monday identified one of the sites in Syria targeted in an alleged Israeli airstrike earlier in the day as a hangar likely storing advanced weaponry or other military equipment." Things that make ya go hmmm....

We all know that Israel was supporting ISIS in Syria to help overthrow Assad. So was the CIA. The CIA created ISIS. Although the claim that Syria was trying to send arms to Lebanon is possible it is highly unlikely. I hesitate commenting on this fraud as I completely support Israel's right to exist. I just emphasize that it is a right to coexist.

Meanwhile back on the ranch, Sky News is reporting that "A suspected Russian-made missile has landed in Northern Cyprus after exploding in the air above a series of villages, according to officials. It is thought the missile may be part of an air defence system fired from Syria in response to an air attack by Israel. Israeli airstrikes were taking place against targets in Syria around 120 miles (200km) away at the time of the blast."
