Proportional Representation is not Proportional

BC wil have yet another referendum on Proportional Representation after it failed twice due to the pleading of Andrew Weaver. Proportional Representation is not Proportional. I do not support it. It's how Doug Ford won the PC leadership over Christine Elliott. Doug Ford squeaked out ahead of Christine Elliott with the majority of riding points, while Elliott won more votes overall.

The candidate with the most votes should win the riding.

Vancouver rises to the challenge

Update: Tragically Ian Campbell announced he is no longer in the running for mayor.

CBC is reporting that "Vision Vancouver, the party that currently holds the mayor's chair as well as a majority on council, has selected Ian Campbell as its candidate to replace retiring Mayor Gregor Robertson. Vision co-chair Michael Haack says Campbell, a hereditary chief of the Squamish Nation, has been acclaimed as the Vision candidate."

A hereditary chief from Squamish First Nations that lead the court challenge against the Trans Mountain pipeline. I'd say he's a shoe in. I predict a landslide victory. Third time lucky. The previous two Campbells who were mayors of Vancouver both left us with a miserable legacy. This Campbell looks like he could very well restore justice to the fallen city. Gordon Campbell killed BC Hydro. Larry Campbell's pharmaceutical fraud created the harm promotion epidemic that has seen metro Vancouver have the highest drug overdose rate in the country.

The Squamish First Nation includes North Vancouver. They own the land to Park Royal Mall and lease it out. I was born in North Vancouver. My father was an elementary school principle in the North Vancouver school district. He taught me at a young age to respect the ancestral spirit of Vancouver. He would bring home carvings and paintings First Nation students would give him. My favorite was the talking stick used to keep order in meetings.

My father would take me to watch the sunset at White Cliff park and read to me the Legends of Vancouver as recorded by Pauline Johnston. Siwash rock has a distinct legend of nobility behind it. The Pauline Johnston memorial is beside Siwash Rock at third Beach in Stanley Park.

Joe Capilano and Chief Dan George are famous local icons in Vancouver's history. The Lions in Vancouver were previously referred to as the Sisters. They look like two lions to me. When I look at the Lions I think of Joe Capiliano and Chief Dan George watching over us on the other side of the veil. This is their Vancouver too. We share our home with it's ancestral spirit. My father used to like to take pictures of the Lions from Cleveland Dam. I like to take pictures of them from the top of Sky Chair on Cypress. From there you can see the Lions face to face. All my relations.

Ontario elects Doug Ford

Ontario just elected Doug Ford. I supported Christine Elliott. Doug Ford promised to clean up the Hydro mess. How's he goign to do that? By privatizing it? That is what caused the problem in the first place just like Enron. He promised a drastic reduction in the price of hydro and gasoline. How's he going to do that? By nationalizing the oil?

Privatizing Hydro has always been a source of problems. That is what caused the BC Hydro tsunami of deferred debt. Private companies are mandated to make a profit. Gordon Campbell privatized the power brokers that sell power to the public company at above market rates. As Norm Farrell pointed out, independent power producers have overcharged tax payers almost $5 billion above market value since 2004. Enron was a national disaster.

The Toronto Star reported that "Why have hydro bills in Ontario doubled? Why is electricity more than double Manitoba’s rate and almost double Quebec’s rates? It’s not a mystery. Hydro deregulation, an Enron designed electricity market and a 'for profit' electricity system is the real reason for ballooning hydro bills." Mike Harris started the problem. Kathleen Wynne finished it.

Fatal shooting in Chilliwack - Update

The Peacearch News is reporting that "One man is dead after what appears to be a targeted homicide at a house on Wellington Avenue in Chilliwack early Thursday morning. When Chilliwack RCMP officers arrived at the scene in the 45000-block of Wellington at approximately 5 a.m. on June 7, emergency personnel were already treating a victim suffering life-threatening injuries. The victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene."

Possible shootout on residential street downtown Chilliwack

BC Local News is reporting that "There appears to have been gunshots fired involving at least one vehicle on a residential street downtown Chilliwack on Friday afternoon. A neighbour said they heard vehicles crashing and shots fired some time after noon on a quiet stretch of Reece Avenue between Young Road and Cook Street. And another neighbour may have captured a victim or suspect car fleeing the scene" near the homicide on Thursday.

Last summer a Hells Angels associate from Calgary shot dead in Chilliwack. In this recent Chilliwack shooting, Nicholas Cross was murdered. Kim Bolan pointed out that Nic's brother Clayton Eheler was named as an associate of James Riach in court documents and was charged with shooting Ciaran D’Monte from the UN in 2006.

In March the Chilliwack Progress reported that "A known drug dealer in a known drug house, Cody Isaacson died after more than a dozen bullets were sprayed into the front bedroom and front door of the notorious house at the corner of Broadway and Cedar Avenue around 6 a.m. on Jan. 31." A public shooting of a known drug dealer in a known drug house.

Three charged after guns, drugs seized from Oshawa home linked to Hells Angels

The Toronto Sun is reporting that "A woman and two men are facing a dozen charges each after searches at an Oshawa home allegedly linked to the Hells Angels. OPP say weapons, ammunition, drugs and outlaw motorcycle gang paraphernalia were seized."

CBC is reporting that "Last Thursday, the OPP's organized crime enforcement bureau and its biker enforcement unit, along with the help of Durham Regional Police's tactical unit, seized a .380 calibre semi-automatic pistol, a Ruger Mark II .22 calibre semi-automatic pistol, ammunition, drug paraphernalia and about 500 millimetres of GHB, commonly known as Liquid Ecstasy." GHB is not known as liquid Ecstasy, it's known as date rape drug.

Notice that Ontario has a Biker Enforcement Unit and BC does not. BC needs to bring back the OMGU. All these fake press releases mean nothing. Bring back the OMGU and target street level drug trafficking. Walk the walk don't just talk the talk.

The Oshawa Hell Angels have a history of drug trafficking. Their clubhouse was seized. A dirty cop was busted as well. A Durham narcotics officer in Oshawa was charged with drug trafficking. Last year two other Durham police officers were also charged with drug trafficking.

As I have said before, the New York Model targeted police corruption and street level drug trafficking. Hells Angels associate Sean Heickert set off the Winnipeg Gang War after he killed one of their own from a HA support group so the Ontario Hells Angels could take over the Thompson drug trade from the Winnipeg Chapter. The police claim his own brother James Heickert a full patch member of the Oshawa Hells Angels was invloved in a murder plot to kill his brother Sean. Pretty dysfunctional. Zeneli worked for the Winnipeg HAs. He was not a rival.

The Toronto Sun is reporting that it was a murderous May in Ontario that saw nine people murdered in 24 days.

Skytrain for Surrey Protest at Bear Creek Park

Skytrain for Surrey hosted a protest at the Surrey Arts Centre in Bear Creek Park today outside Translink's LRT Koolaid lovefest so I eagerly checked it out. I met a few key people on the opposition. Daryl Dela Cruz from the Skytrain for Surrey group is rock solid. They are the ones that made the YouTube videos showing LRT crashes put to music.

I also met Rajesh Jayaprakash from People First Surrey who is also rock solid. The opposition is rallying together for the upcoming election. Rajesh is an engineer with a new political party who is running for City Council. I support him because he is clear in his opposition to the LRT insanity.

I saw a couple of guys coming out of the lovefest with cardboard trains that looked like a Pirate's Pack from Whitespot. I asked if they they got fries and a drink with that. A lot of people coming out of the meeting were not impressed. The meeting showed examples of efficient railways systems in Europe but that is not what they have planned for Surrey. Not at all.

Interesting to note, the Director of South of Fraser Rapid Transit at TransLink is Stephan Mehr. Before that he worked over 22 years with SNC-Lavalin the dirtiest construction company on the planet that is still in court facing fraud and corruption charges.

In 2017 SNC Lavalin agreed to repay Quebec municipalities for contracts obtained through fraudulent tactics. SNC-Lavalin was charged with offering bribes worth $47.7 million to officials in Libya. They are also alleged to have defrauded various Libyan public agencies of approximately $129.8 million. SNC-Lavalin agreed to pay $1.5 million to settle a corruption case filed by the African Development Bank for ordering illicit payments to public officials to secure contracts.

Criminal charges against Arthur Porter, the man accused of committing what Quebec authorities described as the biggest corruption fraud in Canada’s history, were officially abandoned, two years after his death in a Panama prison. Porter was charged with fraud and breach of trust with regards to a hospital built by SNC-Lavalin in Montreal. The list goes on...

21 kilos of crystal meth seized in Saskatoon

Unlike Metro Vancouver, the police in Saskatoon continue to target street level drug trafficking with great success. Global is reporting that "What began as Saskatoon police observing what they believed to be street-level drug trafficking turned into one of the most significant drug busts the city has ever seen. After Global News began inquiring Monday afternoon into a major drug bust, police confirmed that $400,000 was seized by officers during a raid along with 21 kilograms of crystal meth." Crystal meth is a horrible drug. Getting 21 kilos off the street is awesome.

"According to authorities, drug deals involving fentanyl spurred the Saskatoon Integrated Drug Enforcement Street Team (SIDEST) to launch an investigation in April." When drug dealers started selling fentanyl in Saskatoon, the police started arresting them. It's common sense. In Surrey the police watch them and provide them police protection. That makes them culpable in the fentanyl deaths that are caused by the drug dealers they watch and protect.

Firefighters form Florian's Knights

People have been asking me my opinion about the new firefighters MC called Florian's Knights. I don't have a problem with them. If the firefighters want to form an MC then let them. What concerns me is the smoke and mirror drama objecting to them.

For the most part, firefighters are well respected. Much more so than cops. Firefighters in Vancouver have always had a history of getting along with the Hells Angels. Yet they don't have a history of selling drugs for the Hells Angels.

The police are concerned and when the dust of their frenzy settles the root of the problem is revealed. Normally the Hells Angels form puppet clubs like the Zig Zag crew to sell drugs. When one puppet club gets busted they quickly form another. However, it is highly unlikely that firemen will sell drugs for the Hells Angels. Entirely possible but highly likely.

Nevertheless, members of the Veterens MC in Langford have been busted for drug trafficking. That is concerning. Locally we have the Shadow club right beside Gus' shop and the Jesters on Scott Road near the Park and Ride. Neither groups have been busted for drug trafficking yet. The Shadow club has a cool logo, the Jesters do not. Their logo is a bit juvenile.

Although I do ride a motorcycle and have done so for many years, I have never had a desire to wear a MC patch. I understand what the ideology aspires to but recognize that as George Christie pointed out, those attempts almost always fall short. As I have said before I have never been a part of *that* life and I have never had a desire to. I march to the beat of my own drum.

I find it highly suspicious that the police would send out press releases sounding the alarm about the founder of Florian's Knights posing with members of the Hells Angels when at the same time the police watch the drug trafficking out of Shakerz and on the Surrey Strip. Why would they watch drug dealers sell fentanyl on the Surrey Strip without arresting them but cry the blues when a fireman poses with someone who knows someone who was involved with someone who once sold drugs. It's far too hypocritical for me to stomach. It's as though they are trying to convince the public they are targeting street level drug trafficking when in fact they aren't.

It's like the Teamsters Horsemen. I don't have a problem with them. I respect them and what they do. Did they have permission from the Hells Angels to form? Of course they did. That doesn't mean they sell drugs for them. When the police obsesse over eliminating all MCs while they ignore and promote drug trafficking, I am forced to ask why?

So the compromised BC Gang task force is concerned about a firefighter who posed with a few Hells Angels that don't sell drugs but the compromised BC Gang Task force is not concerned about aresting the Hells Angels that actually do sell drugs. What's wrong with that picture?

Two teens shot dead in Surrey

The Peaearch News is reporting that "Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has confirmed two Surrey teenagers are dead, following a late-night shooting in South Surrey’s Campbell Heights neighbourhood that police believe was targeted. 16-year-old Jaskarn (Jason) Singh Jhutty and 17-year-old Jaskaran (Jesse) Singh Bhangal were found dead just after 10:30 p.m. Monday near 192 Street and 40 Avenue. The victims had sustained gunshot wounds and were declared dead at scene. The discovery came less than an hour after Surrey RCMP were alerted to a burning car in the area of 184 Street and 29A Avenue, and just a half hour before police were notified of a second burned car, at 172 Street and 93 Avenue." Highschool students. Tragic.

Surrey Businesses want Skytrain not LRT

Today a coworker said they saw a No LRT sign on King George Hwy and asked if it was me. Not on King George I said. I put one up on 104th but the city took it down. So I checked it out and sure enough a local business had two large signs that said No Light Rail We Want Skytrain. I stopped in and had a chat with the local business and they were livid with City Hall. Their business is on King George Hwy and they realize an on ground train with create traffic gridlock and adversely affect their business. That is why we need to elect a new city council in Surrey on October 20. Like everyone points out, Surrey Council does not listen.
